Chapter 5- The flower of destruction

Tanvi lead Archie back to her room, shutting the room behind them. Archie regains notice of the rose sitting on the table amongst the letters and chocolates. It was a strange combination. Archie took the flower in her hands and inspected it before she stops in shock and throws it to the ground. It was the flower of destruction. Raj warned the sisters of this flower as he claimed very seriously that it attracts chaos. Although it sounded quite absurd, the flower was meant to be frowned upon. He always instructed them to never receive or give this flower to anyone as it would flag the beginning of their failure. Tanvi understands her emotions at this point and gestures her to sit beside her on the timber carved sofa. Archie was in need of answers.

Tanvi checked the door to make sure her father wasn't approaching before saying, " Father and I have accepted to keep many things from you. As like you and I know, our mother's death was not so simple.'

Archie tried to contain her anger. Tanvi knew all along what had happened to her mother yet still acted like a fool to her, pretending to be just as clueless as she was. Archie didn't know if she could listen any longer but she wanted to know what else Tanvi kept from her.

"While you were shown to a religious predictor who also wrote your fate, he insisted that you be kept from all connections until our father could no longer resist you from knowing the outer world, as your birth star was similar to your mother's, suggesting that you suffer the same ending as she did."

"What exactly was this ending that she suffered?"

"I can't tell you"

Archie was fuelled with anger. She could no longer comprehend what to do. More than being purposefully hidden from reality, she was being lied to by her sister with whom she shared way too much with. She felt stupid. Betrayed. And most importantly, she wanted to leave.
