Chapter 4- The forbidden device

Archie skipped her way down the stairs and push the door to her sister's room wide open, but Tanvi was nowhere to be found. Instead, she saw a rose on top of her study table, along with some handwritten letters and chocolates. She could hear her sister's voice coming from the bathroom but she found no reason for her to be speaking as there could not be anyone else with her. She gently slid open the door to see her sister speaking on a phone. Raj never gave permission for his daughters to use phones even at the age of 17. It was forbidden. Archie thought it was just the way it worked everywhere. She stares in disbelief as she knew that if this came to her father's knowledge, she was beyond dead. "CHECHY" { Chechy means elder sister } she screamed before seeing her drop the phone onto the marble floor, shattering the screen. Tanvi picks it up and examines the damage before Archie takes position to run out the door. Tanvi runs after her, leaping onto Archie's long braided her, pulling her back. The two fight until Tanvi gives up and the two sit together, panting. Archie decides to not let this distract her from the issue and questions the reason as to why she had access to a phone, that too, without the knowledge of her father. Tanvi takes a deep breath before saying, 'Father already knows.' Archie was left in a pool of confusion. Although she was younger, Raj treated both without differences but when it came to this, Archie couldn't understand.

"But why was this kept from me?"

"We need to talk, i'll explain"
