Chapter 3- What she really wanted

The day Archie had waited for had finally came. She was accepted into Law school, by her own efforts. As usual, her excitement remained in her mind as her face let off just a slight smile. She took the envelope with her inside her house, climbing the tiring set of stairs until she finally reached her father's bedroom door. She could hardly hear him through the other side, shouting through the phone.

"You have misused the trust I gave in you. you are fired!', followed by the smashing of the landline back into the case. She figured this wasn't the right time to approach him and finally decided to leave when the door swished open, revealing a very angry Raj standing amidst scattered piles of papers which she guessed he threw out of frustration. The two stared at each other in silence until it became too awkward to continue. She was undeniably scared of him. She held up the envelope as if it was a ticket to save herself. He gently grabs it and murmurs the content to himself as a forced smile appeared across his face. Archie knew he wanted her to pursue his business with him although he was in confusion as her emotionless approach to almost everything won't be suitable when having to deal with the ups and down of the business. He patted her on the back and let out these words. "If this is what you want". Archie nodded her head knowingly and backed away to let Raj continue his moment of temper.

Deep in her mind, she was still unsure if this was the future she wished for herself. She was very fascinated by law from when she remembers and was extremely fond of arguments and the sense of success in defeating someone but once again, would this be the right choice. Now that she had the root of her goal, she was starting to question its sheer presence. She needed support and advice but from who? Some more comforting than Raj, someone to openly celebrate with... Tanvi's face came to her mind first. She was her relief.
