2 Chapter 1: I lost everything

It was 7 in the morning. 8th of the April year 2100

Dex started preparing himself before going to his work.

[News Flash] For today's weather forecast. Some part of Manila are in cloudy state. Heavy rain and strong wind are expected to happen. It's good to be cautious to prevent harm. Stay safe everyone.

"It seems that it will rain later so, I think it's good if I bring umbrella" Dex said while he walk towards the door of his apartment. After he get out, he suddenly feel the strong and cold breeze that the wind brings.

He just walk on his way to his work because its not that far from his apartment. In a minute he pass by a bus station and from that location he can see his office in a distance.

Dex log in and walk to his table when...

"Mr. Concuelo do you know what time is it?!!" Mr. Gonzales shouted. "Do this and after your work come and see me to my office. "

"Bad mood already? He always get angry. I think someone is getting torture later hahaha" Hailey said to Dex in a sarcastic way. "Just let him be, He always been like that hahaha okay, back to work"

Time pass by and Dex finished his work. On his way to Mr. Gonzales office he tip off and drop his phone that cause it to break. "Crap! the screen. How am I so unlucky today?" as soon as He arrive at the office. His boss offer him to sit. "Have a sit Mr. Concuelo, Do you have any idea why I call you to my office? Mr. Gonzales asked Dex in serious way causing Dex to feel nervous. "I think its all about my work sir, right?". "Yes, and I don't know what happen to you. Before you always become.the employee of the month but this past 2 months you've change. I don't know what happen but your absent is unreasonable I can't tolerate this kind of attitude". Mr. Gonzales said. "I'm sorry sir, I promise. I'll make it up to you. I'll do my best again sir, so please give me 1 more chance to prove myself". Dex can't deny what he done to this past 2 months. He doesn't go to work buying liquor and drinking till he pass out. After he lost his mother, He keeps on blaming himself for what happen. " I'm sorry Mr. Concuelo but you've done enough. I know that you need this job but sorry. I meed to fire you. I'll be sending your last payment tomorrow. Thank you for your service". Dex walk out with mix emotion.

"I lost my job when I needed it most". Dex said with frustration. On his way home. The rain starts to fall but it doesn't seem it bothers him because of what happen. When he got home, he went to the bathroom to take a shower. "Why?! What did I done wrong to be punish like this. I lost my mom. I got fired. I broke my only phone and if I can't pay the rental next week I'm going to lose my home". Dex fell crying. "I wish you were here mom, I miss you so much. If only I can turn back the time. I'm going to give everything just to have 1 more chance to be with you". After he take a bath. Dex goes to his room and sleep. "Dex! Wake up your going to miss the bus. Your going to be late for school! Dex!!! Dreco Concuelo Jr!!! Mrs. Concuelo shouted. "Mom is that you?". Dex asked with curiosity. "Am I dreaming? Is this real?". Dex rush to hug his mom. He woke up and realize that it was just a dream. Dex started to cry again because of frustration.

Earlier that day He received a mail. Its from the daughter of the landlord Mrs. Delos Reyes

Mr. Concuelo,

I am Alexa Delos Reyes the daughter of Roxane Delos Reyes the owner of your appartment. This letter is a notice that you need to pay your rental before 04.12.2100.

"12? I only have 4 days to stay here? How can I pay? Even my last payment wont be enough for it". Dex said. " I think its good if I find new apartment to stay in just for a while". Dex walk out to the door to find his new apartment.

He keeps on walking until he stop in the front of an old apartment. Its not that far from his apartment. Its not that nice, Its just okay. "Hi sir, How much does the rental cost?". "1500 pesos for the down payment and 500 pesos for the monthly payment". Landlord said. The last payment that Dex receive is just enough for the rental fee and his food for the next whole month. It seems that Dex has no choice and pay the Landlord.

Dex goes back to his old apartment. On his way the heavy rain starts falling. "I forget to bring my umbrella". Dex run as fast as he can to reach his old apartment before his clothes become soaking wet. While running Dex notice something from the distance he saw an image that look like his mother. He can't see its face but base on its figure he is sure that it was his mother. Dex slowly walk to the person to see it up close. The person starts dancing. He dance on the rhythm the rains give. The person notice that Dex is walking towards him and run away before he reach him. "Who is that person?." He asked with curiosity. "Maybe its someone else I just miss my mom so much that's why I started to see things". Dex goes back to his old apartment to pick up his things.
