10 chapter 9

The Exorcist rolls the final credits.

"I don't know why, you guys like Scary Movies so much, like don't you see enough killing in our jobs?" Stella said, yawning.

"Kids?" Simon yelled for us downstairs. I looked at my phone it was 2:30, we started watching them at 2, last night.

Zane got up, "C'mon, we need to go see what My dad wants." I shrugged and sat up, stretching my arms, as we all head up the stairs.

"Simon, where's your coffee?" I asked, yawning.

"In the coffee pot, Nova."

"I knew that," I said, walking over to the coffee pot.

"How are you drinking that, Nov." Zane said, handing me a coffee cup. I nodded, filling my coffee cup a third of the way full, and I put it on the middle Island.

"Okay, everyone starting tonight." Simon started to talk as I made my coffee. I grab the Sugar from the cabinet, along with Chocolate Caramel Creamer. "We're starting to move the drugs." My ears prick up at moving drugs.

"We're moving drugs," I said stirring my coffee.

"Yeah?" He said.

"What kind." I was leaning over the counter.

"Mostly weed and some other stuff."

"Alrighty," I said, sipping the coffee.

"Alright, Come by the club after all of you take a nap." We all laugh, everyone with their coffee, we trudged down the stairs to the basement again.

"Turn on, Netflix," Zane said, to Vanessa who was holding the remote.

"I'm going to it because I want to watch Grey's Anatomy." She said, turning it back on. I put my coffee on the table that ran along the edge behind the couch and I sang back into my place in Zane.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Nov, wake up." I sat up, Zane was rubbing his own eyes. "We gotta head to the club."
"What is the name of your dad's club?"
"The Club," Zane answered.
"That's it?" I laughed.
"Yeah, My father is not that creative." I laugh.
"I guess, I gotta get dressed," I said, standing up.
"Or just wear sweatpants." Zane shrugged. "You look good, either way." I rolled my eyes.
"Stop flirting with me, Z." I smiled at him, jumping over the stairs to my room.
I grab a simple pair of jeans, a black crop top, and a white zip-up jacket, and some tennis shoes.
"Nova, we're gonna be late. Adele might beat us there late." I walked out of the room.
"Okay, okay. I'm here." Zane grabs my hand and pulls me down the stairs and we get in the car.
"Are you ready?" Zane asked me as we pulled out of the driveway.
"What do you mean?"
"Vegas isn't like New York, Is all I'm saying."
"I know that?" My tone was offensive.
"No, what I'm saying is." He paused, thinking. "There's more than just us in this town." I knew what he meant now.
"There's another mob?" I questioned.
"Yes, and Gangs but." I nodded, Gangs are different from Mobs. Gangs are way less organized, they don't make money as we do, and they usually are all about violence and drugs. "They call themselves, "The Braves"
"The Braves?" I said, making a face,
"Yes, The Braves, They've been for like 20 years, longer than Simon and we haven't had any trouble with them since the first few years we were here, They run most of the casinos in town, while My dad runs most of the strip clubs, This one is just the closet to our house," Zane said, pulling up the club. "But the only way we've remained, what my dad calls, 'peace' is we stay on the Northside of Vegas, and they stay on the Southside when it comes to business arrangements."
"We need to have more talks like this," I told Zane.
"Agreed but not, right now," Zane said, getting out and we walked to the back, but before we got down the stairs. Simon was waiting for us.
"We've got a problem, a big problem." What happened? Did he get news on my sister? I panicked, I rub my eyebrow with my ring finger.
"What happened?" Zane asked, panic in his eyes.
"We can't talk about this inside, the others are waiting for us in my office." He said, he walked down the stairs, into the bar, but we walked past it.
I didn't see any of our friends, anywhere? Maybe they were already making deals? We walked into the room, everyone was in Simon's office.
It was a deep green color wall, it was a big room with a large brown desk at the end of the room that Simon went to sit at.
"Nova, Zane. Everyone, Please take a seat." We all sit down at the long table.
"Boys! Bring him in!" That's when two larger men bring in a Junkie or what looks like a Junkie away.
"Now, as everyone knows, well, besides you Nova, This Mickey, Mickey Kays."
"Mickey Kays?" I was sitting on the right to Simon, Zane was sitting on the other side of the table on the left.
"Why, Did you bring me here?"
"We're going to be the one asking questions here," Simon told the man. I'm confused, one why is this guy the big problem.
Simon, slide a small baggie with a white substance in it on the table.
"What is that, Mickey?"
"You know what that is Simon."
"I didn't ask If I know it. I asked if you did, Mickey."
"It's Cocaine." He stated.
"Yeah, it's not ours," Mickey said.
Simon stood up and started to walk towards Mickey, "Why are you lying to me, Kays?" Simon said, now at the end of the table eye to eye with Mickey.
"What do you mean, of course, this is yours? The Braves don't sell here." Simon grabbed Mickey's nasty coat by the collar and rammed him against the wall. "Tell me, where you got the damn drugs, Mickey."
"I got them for that girl over there." He pointed to Rose, she scrunched her face.
"I've never sold anything to you before in my life." Simon took his pistol and pointed it to his head.
"Now, are you gonna tell me who sold you the drugs or are you gonna keep acting like we sell glass cut coke in this business, we all know the braves do, so tell me are they selling on our tuff?" Simon said, Mickey said,
"Adele!" Simon yelled out for Adele. She stood up and walked over to Mickey, she picked up a pocket knife and flicked it open, and she slid it down his arm, letting the blood trickle down his arm, he winced in pain, Adele went to the other arm and did the same thing.
"Now are you gonna tell me, was it the braves?" Mickey, with panic his eyes, breathed out and said,
"It was the Braves, Donnie Johnson sold me the drugs," Mickey told us, and then Adele sat back down in her chair.
"So how often do they sell around here?"
"They started to do it, a few weeks ago and they just keep bringing in new people to sell over here. They even asked me too." Simon nodded and walked away from Mickey.
"This is usual information, so I'll spare you this one time, but the next time I figure out you're getting from the braves," He made a gun motion to his head.
"You got it, boss." but Before Mickey could make it out the door, a gunshot was heard and he fell to the floor. "Can't having people think I'm weak," Simon said, the two larger men grabbing him and putting him in the other room.
"Now, does anyone have any ideas for this problem?" Simon asked cocking an eyebrow.
