Her Name and His Heart Beat

"We need to increase the number of people that visiting our site", said Dave to his friends, they were young lads who put up a website 'UnderWorld' that mainly focused on everything, anything anime and games.

"But how?" asked Ivan, then Macky, the youngest among them think of something,

"Why don't we include 'Review' section?," he suggested. Dave looked at him, "it's like someone will watch an anime or try a newest game then write an honest opinion about it, then it will be posted on our site," explained Macky.

"It's like blogging," commented Ivan, "and it is quite a trend nowadays," Stephen, who leads their group were listening carefully on their discussion.

"It is a good idea..." Dave faked a cough, "but the thing is no one among us is patient enough to create a review," he reminded them. Ivan and Macky looked at each other, it was quite true they thought.

"Then we will hire someone who will create a review for us," decided Stephen,

"But we still don't have a physical office to hire additional employee," intervened Macky.

"We can hire thru online," suggested Ivan, "But we need a strategy to attract a good reviewer," he added.

"Macky what is the newest anime?" inquired Stephen, "The Slayer," he answered. "Dave, make an announcement on our site that we will have a contest, review-making on that anime," instructed Stephen, "Ivan, create a separate page where the participants can submit their entries."

As they work on their assigned tasks, Dave asked him, "By the way, what will be the grand prize?" smiled Stephen,

"He will be hired by Fenrir," Fenrir Inc is the name of the company they put up themselves and also responsible for the operation behind the 'UnderWorld' site.

In the online world Stephen and his friends were the webmaster and moderator of 'UnderWorld' site which just started a year ago. In a matter of months their website gained popularity among netizens for being up-to-date in trending topics. Also, in reality they were popular at their university for being genius students of Computer Science department. No wonder why most of the girls fall in love with them especially with Stephen as they considered him a perfect student who always do his best in everything.

"It's time," announced Dave, he and the others logged out from the said site. They went straight to the registration office of their school to enroll for this year first semester, all of them were incoming Third Year student. Upon seeing their group, some of the students were giggling while the others took this chance to take pictures of them. Stephen and his friends were used to this kind of attention and they act as if it was a normal everyday scenario. After enrolling, they were about to leave when another known group of students shown up, this time, the School Editorial Club, composed of Dean's lister and honored students lead by Kevin of Mass Communication department. Everyone's attention were now centered on these groups as they faced off, since it's very rare for both to be in one place at the same time. The tension rose up as they stared down on each other.

Aya is one of the new student and incoming freshman this year, she came late because she almost forgot that enrollment is being held today. She woke up late due to playing her online game last night until 2am in the morning. While looking for her registration card in her bag, someone pushed her accidentally. "Hey!" she called the guy who pushed her, "Miss I'm sorry!" he said, she were suprised when suddenly he ran off. Then students started running towards the end of the hallway and she wondered why.

To her disappointment, the students she saw running earlier gathered in front of the Registration office. She had no choice but to cross that sea of students, "What is going on?" she asked no one in particular. "Another show-off," a familiar voice answered her, then she was pulled out from the crowd. It was her friend, Claudia, a Sophomore student, major in Psychology, "Where have you been? We been looking for you!" she complained. "Don't bother to ask, I"m pretty sure that she just played online game last night and she woke up late," another girl chimed in, it was Nina, she really do know her well. Both of them were her childhood friends and they were a year older than her. "By the way, what's happening?" she asked them, "Oh that?" Claudia pointed at the two groups that were in the middle of the crowd. "See those guys at the right? they were students from Computer Science like you, AKA as the famous geniuses," she said. "And the other group belonged to the Mass Communication department," added Nina. "I've heard those two group were not getting along ever since their first year days." Aya looked at them and puzzled why they were not in good terms with each other. Then her eyes landed on the good-looking guy that were standing in front of the Computers Science students. He was tall with medium built and can be mistaken as a commercial model for his looks. Her friends saw her staring at him, Claudia smirked, "Dream on girl, but if I were you I wouldn't fall for him," Aya furrowed her eyebrow at her, "What do you mean?" she questioned. Claudia and Nina looked at each other and burst into laughter, "You're a freshman, no wonder you don't know him, by the way he was Stephen, the most handsome student of our University," bragged Claudia. "He was called Mr. Perfect," said Nina, "he was good at anything and everything he do, sport, literature, history, mathematics, name it." Aya took a second look on him, "Wow," she uttered, "And he was also known as Ice Man," blurted out Claudia. Aya was confused, "Because he was very cold towards girls," explained Nina, "So if I were you don't let him touch your heart or else you become an snowman," all of them laughed at her silly joke. "Aya before I forget you should better go now before their close the enrollment," Claudia reminded her, "Crap!" Aya ran as fast as she could and squeezed herself through the crowd to get to the registration office.

Meanwhile, Stephen decided to walk away since he has no intention of making a scene and his friends followed him, "Giving up easily?" Tom, the vice president of Editorial Club said out loud, the crowd were shocked. Stephen halted and sighed then his sinister smile appeared, "We have no time to show off cuz we're kinda busy with our online business," he replied in a confident voice, the people around awed with amazement pissing Tom in the process. "What the h-" Kevin the President of their club stopped him from cursing, Stephen didn't looked at him and they continue on their way out. Kevin clenched his fist in silence while staring at them.

When they were out of earshot, "Honestly I've already forgot the reason why were at war with them," commented Ivan, "Maybe they still can't move on with the incident happened last two years ago," muttered Macky. "Are you kidding? It has nothing to do with us nor Stephen," snorted Dave, "Don't let it bother you" sighed Stephen. They were walking at the university ground when someone shouted a unusual name that caught Stephen's attention, "RAREHEART!" He saw a nerd looking guy waving his hand, out of curiosity he followed where this guy were looking at then his eyes settled on a girl who were wearing a gray jacket with hood, larger than her frame. It was paired with short jeans while her legs was covered with black tights matching a blue sneakers and her hair was tied on a messy bun. The moment she turned around, Stephen lost sense of his surroundings, he didn't noticed that his eyes was already glued on her. For that brief moment, this girl captured his heart in instant, he can't explain how she did it. He memorized every inch of her face and even her smile already imprinted on his mind. While observing her, he witnessed how this girl ran and tackled the nerd guy. "I've told you not to call me that!" he heard, "Because you were one of the famous top ranked pla-" the nerd guy did not able to finish his sentence because she covered his mouth and pulled him away. A smile appeared on his face, "RareHeart?" what a unique name," Stephen thought while looking at the direction where the girl have gone.

This is my first time to post my story online and I'm no expert in story writing. English is not my mother tongue so do expect an error and please bear with me. I'm really sorry for mistake in grammar or spelling if there's any. All the situation/scene is just a pure imagination none of them happen in real life. I could say that this story were inspired by a drama that I watched before but I tried best not to copy it. Thank you for the time reading my novel, it means a lot to me.
