"Is that latex?" Finnia asked. She saw a milky liquid that swirls on the edge of the bowl. It seems to be really fresh.

"Yes. I'm planning to create a suitable skin for Kimi. She will look a lot better without those visible wires and metals." Grandma Anne has been thinking about how to fix Kimi's skin. Even though Kimi is working fine, she will look better if her internals is not readily visible.

"Would you like some assistance? I can actually create some really good stuff from a fresh rubber sap using my nanites." Finnia replied. She's free at the moment. It wouldn't hurt to play around with some other things.

"Sure, here it is." Grandma Anne handed the bowl then stepped back while keeping a good eye on what will happen.

Finnia went to the table with the bowl in hand. She carefully placed it down then disappeared for a few seconds. She came back with a cup of some light brown dye which she extracted from a plant nearby and a sheet of smooth plastic in hand. She placed down the cup on the nearby chair and she laid the plastic flat on the table to cover its whole surface.

After covering the table, she sent a good number of nanites on the liquid then started to pour it on the table. As the liquid spread on the table, the nanites worked on the coagulation and the rubber started to form. Nanites dye the coagulated rubber and some of them work in keeping the sheet on the desired thickness. The nanites also injected some minute levels of Silka energy to each rubber particles. This made it more resilient and resistant to external forces and harmful substances.

Finnia gestured to Grandma Anne that it will be ready soon. Grandma called Kimi which was in the other room. Upon hearing the summon, Kimi hurriedly went to where Grandma is. Grandma explained what is happening and informed her to get ready. Kimi removed her dress so the wires and metals are again visible.

Finnia looked over to Kimi and started her surface scan. She's creating a three-dimensional image of Kimi so that she can get an accurate measurement of every section. After the scan, her nanites started cutting and shaping the improved rubber skin. After a while, it is all complete.

"Come on over, Kimi. Finnia will fit in the new artificial skin for you." Grandma Anne urged her to move over to Finnia so that the skinning can get started.

Kimi walked over with widened strides. She stopped around one foot from Finnia and spread her arms wide to the side. At this point, Grandma Anne's face had traces of excitement and anticipation.

Finnia started with the skin on the head, making sure to connect the touch endpoints for the nerve endings. The end-to-end of the skin were joined together at the back of the head.

"Seems like we need a hair for the head as well." she casually remarked. Enryl and Grandma nodded as they agreed. Kimi will look aesthetically better and will look more human with hair.

Finnia continued to work on the rest of the body. It didn't take a while until the whole body was covered with the new skin. The skin looked more real because Finnia made sure to shape the surface so that it mimics a human skin with its uneven surface due to pores and such. If she left it as is, Kimi will look like a toy if she has a shiny skin devoid of any imperfections.

"Every surface has been covered. Please run a Level A Diagnostic Test." Finnia looked over to Grandma Anne. Grandma understood and issued the command to Kimi.

"Affirmative. Entering Level A Diagnostic Test."

"Checking the touch endpoints.. 0%... 50%... 100%."

"Checking heat resistance... measured. Complete."

Kimi goes on with every diagnostic test. Since this is a custom-made skin, data needs to be gathered and attribute values need to be determined to update the entity's new defensive capabilities.

"Level A Diagnostic Test complete. New protective layer grade is High." After a while, the tests are complete. Interestingly, the quality of the new skin is High. Just one lower from Supreme. Take note that the highest quality level on this time period is Supreme and High is just below so this means that Kimi's defensive capabilities are on par on this grade. Any attacks that are lower than High won't make a scratch.

Grandma Anne was over the moon. The new skin was better than she expected. She asked Kimi to come over to her. Kimi disappeared from her spot then instantly appeared in front of Grandma. She touched Kimi's left hand and press on the palm lightly. It felt real. The skin provided pressure feedback so that the touch felt soft and natural like on a normal human.

Grandma was brimming with happiness. She hugged Kimi tightly and teasingly said, "Hmm, it seems like I'm hugging a stuffed toy." She can't hide the wide smiles on her face.

She looked over to Finnia and sincerely said, "Thank you."
