As a flash of blue light appeared in front of my eyes, I appreciated the new skills I have gotten from just getting a new class and started to think about my future plans for a bit.

Hmm, so I can gain exp by killing or healing because of the class's effect, killing would help me learn Killing Intent but it's more of a status effect giver by making other players lose control over their body and giving a debuff to them. But I already have killing intent in real life so I could probably also use it in-game if I need to. Hmm, I really don't need a party right now so I guess I could go hunt on my own in the wild.

After deciding on my game plan in my mind, I look towards the left and saw the Adventurer's Guild in the far distance and remembered how it was formed.

Nearly everything player-related in the game was almost made by players, from the Adventurer's Guild, the Merchant Guild, the ability to trade in-game money for real money, nearly everything was developed by the players so this could be considered a real New World that has started from scratch.

I then started to walk towards the Adventurer's Guild along with many new players as I looked at their starter gear and could estimate what their classes were from appearance alone.

Hmm, I should learn some support skills right now like Enhance Strength and Enhance Speed. Light Arrow should last for a long while so offensive spells don't matter much. I should also probably focus on leveling Energy first so I can stay alive longer.

As I was contemplating my game plan, I arrived in front of the wide-open doors of the Adventurer's Guild in this little starter town at the west of the central part of the continent I am in that is simply called Central Continent where many races gather in peace.

I then saw the receptionist lady standing at the counter and instantly activated my strange ability to be charismatic in a sense that anyone I encountered wouldn't want to hate me but instead even please me, but I only use this rarely at the start as I feel like I'm doing something that somehow… makes me feel weird in a sense, not physically but more of… spiritually.

But I got used to using it after a few years of being bullied at school, though they did do it indirectly so I didn't care about my classmates much, I even forgot their names already even though it was just like a day after the end of middle school so I guess I have a few loose screws in my head.

"H- Hello," I said to the receptionist as I still couldn't believe that the girl I am seeing right now is fully an NPC made out of 0s and 1s, it's like they have a soul of their own at this point.

"Hello there!" said the receptionist with an amicable smile, probably happy that she gets to interact with a cute little boy.

"Uh, I want to be an adventurer!" I said with shining eyes.

"Are you sure? You know that being an adventurer is a dangerous job right?" said the receptionist in worry as I clearly felt the emotions of care well up inside her.

"But! But! I want to explore the world and help the people I meet along the way!" I said as the receptionist lady sighed in acceptance.

"Well I can't deny that, well come on in, we will need to take your name, class, and more info about you to give you the appropriate rank," said the lady as I followed her towards a room and started to list out my status to her.

Hmm, I should be ranked F right now if I say that my Heal is uncommon in rank so I should bump it up to rare.

"Rare rank heal?" said the lady in surprise just like I expected as healers were quite rare nowadays.

"Y- yes!" I said as the lady chuckled, probably at how cute I am right now.

"Mmm, well that should bump you up to rank E but because you're young, you will be Rank F. You know the procedures to rank up right?" said the lady.

"Yes, you need to accomplish a certain amount of quest at your own rank or accomplish a quest higher than your own rank. It can also be that if you are strong enough, you can rank up with that alone" I said as I gave her my knowledge that has grown over the years by watching New World on Metube and Twatch.

"Well there we go, congrats on being an adventurer!" said the lady with a smile as she gave me my card that shows my surface-level info like Class and rank, along with a white-colored badge that shows I am F rank.

"Thank you!" I said while I put on my badge at my chest and pocketed my card for safekeeping.

"Pleasure doing business with you," said the lady while I followed her outside the room as she went back to her post on the counter while I look at the available quest on the quest board with people hogging around it.

I should aim for a hunting quest for the chance of getting a skill book, perhaps even something like Danger Sense. Hmm, should I base my build around my Gift? I could realistically go for a berserker-like build by continuously Healing myself with my Gift, eh, I'll just plan along as I go.

As I look around the quest board along with the other players looking for some quests to take, I found a perfect one for me to take.

[Quest: Help! I need ten horned rabbits! Come and meet me at this location if you finished hunting the ten horned rabbits, it doesn't need to be perfect, I just need it to be relatively intact.

Reward: 2 silver, Carving Knife]

Hmm, horned rabbits should have a chance of giving me a skill book and that's ten, I could also gather some materials along the way so I guess horned rabbits it is.

I then took the hunting quest notice from the quest board and walked towards the receptionist lady and gave her the quest notice.

"Would you like to take this quest dear sir?" said the lady with a smile.

"Y- yes!" I said as she chuckled and made me sign my name on the quest notice as proof that I took the quest and is now my responsibility to finish it.

"Have fun hunting" said the lady towards me while I nodded and walked away from the Adventurer's Guild and towards the exit of the town where I entered from before and went towards the large open green fields where horned rabbits are more likely to appear at.

"Hmm, they should appear soon" I muttered while I was hiding in a random bush and felt the twigs and leaves sticking to my white cloak but ignored the sensation and sneakily moved my body around until I suddenly saw a horned rabbit appearing in the distance interacting with another horned rabbit.

As I saw the rabbit peacefully standing in the distance, I took a deep breath and went into a state of pure focus with my eyes dilating in response to this hyper-focused state and stretched my hand towards the two horned rabbits and activated Light Arrow at F rank, soon, particles of light gathered at the palm of my hands to form a column of light hovering in front of my palms and waited for the perfect moment to shoot.

"Now" I muttered as the two horned rabbits luckily turned around and shot the arrow straight towards the butt hole of one of the horned rabbits and saw blood leak out of its hole while the other rabbit instantly ran away but I hastily shot another light arrow and manage to accurately hit its butthole just like the other one and breath out a sigh of relief.

"Oh god, success," I said as I stood up and felt the bush scratching against the exposed parts of my skin and saw it slightly bleeding and sighed at how realistic the game was and activated my Gift, my real Gift.

"W- wha- guwak!" I shouted in pain as I felt that sense of loss once more just like last time but this time it was more severe but probably because of me stealing what was presumably the souls of two people, it didn't damage me too much as I just spasmed on the ground for a few seconds.

"Huff, puff, what the fuck happened?" I muttered as I felt weird all of a sudden but didn't notice anything too different and looked around in confusion.

"… I didn't heal anyone else just then, so why did the sense of loss suddenly happen?" I muttered in confusion and quickly timed out of the game and went back to my real body in the real world but didn't notice any changes in my real body and my presumed soul didn't seem to be damaged and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Hmm, well I guess that incident will remain a mystery for me for a good while," I muttered as I went back in the game and continued playing.

AN: This is 1593 words by the way, you're welcome.

So I tried writing in 1st Person POV as you can see and it was kinda weird now that I have to write in a non omniscient manner, and also I don't have to go 'word' thought Aki to write Aki's thought, I just straight up include his thoughts in the paragraph.

So I plan to develop my writing style for a bit and mix 1st and 3rd person POV at the later chapters so yay I guess.

The Sword of Damocles hangs above each and everyone one of you with its ever present threat of despair, so send me some power stones with your power of friendship and save the thousands perhaps even millions to come who will read this masterpiece immortalized in the tunnels of time.
