8 Ch 7 – A Little Help

"Oooohhh," said Aki as he appeared in a white medieval-like room that belongs in a church or a castle and look around in wonder, as he looks around and touched the pure white walls, he felt the cold hard material touching his skin and was surprised at how realistic it felt and how superior it was compared to other games for the IVR pod.

Soon, he went to the pedestal in the middle of the room and saw one prompt.

[Name]

"Hey Ai? Do I just put my username there?" said Aki.

[Yep] said Ai from nowhere.

"NoNameDeity," said Aki.

[CRINGEEEEEEEE!!!] said Ai from the side as she screeches in disgust.

"Hey, it's been my online name for years now okay, and why do you even care, don't you take care of billions of people in the world on a daily basis? Shouldn't there be someone more cringe than me?" said Aki with a blank face.

[Yes, you're not that special in the grand scheme of things but you're special to me, b- baka!] said Ai as it laughs hysterically.

"Yes yes, so I guess I'll change my name to Saint Aki, so what do I do next?" said Aki.

[Do you want to make an in-game avatar or just use your real-life body as your avatar in the game. Note, it is not advised to make your in-game body drastically different from your real-life body as it has been shown that it would mess up your brain in layman's terms. And if you have a controllable mutation type Gift that can turn on and off, you can make your character stay as your base human form. But if it is permanent, it is advised to use your real-life body as your in-game avatar] said Ai.

"What about the Gift you will have in the game? It's random right? What would happen to those who get a mutation type Gift if they already have a mutation type Gift in real life? Wouldn't it affect their brain?" asked Aki.

[Yes, but we have made it that it will either be in line with their original Gift or be another type of Gift altogether] said Ai.

"But what if I have no Gift in-game? I could just reincarnate right?" said Aki.

[Yes, or you could preserve and become strong enough and gain the unique power of Gods] said Ai.

"Mmm, well I'll use my real appearance but I'll change my eyes to be… blue and my hair golden blond, just like a Saint," said Aki with a smug smirk.

[You can't even heal people in real life with your Gift] said Ai.

"Hey, who knows, I might just be the second Saint in this world," said Aki as his body started to change with his hair becoming golden blond and his eyes becoming blue.

[Well I guess see you in the game then] said Ai as the church-like room of white started to disappear into nothing as he asked a question.

"Hey, could you give me a little nudge in-game if you know what I mean," said Aki with a wink.

[Fine, I'll give you a little nudge for your Gift in game] said Ai as the ground below him disappeared as he falls through and saw that he was falling from the sky and saw the whole continent where the majority of humans live along with some other races simply called the Human Continent or the Central Continent slap right in between the other continents.

Soon, balls of light started to surround him and knew this is the Gift Bestowing event that you can get multiple times if you were lucky and got some sources of Gifts, or you can spend enough money and buy the items themselves from the people who find it in-game.

Soon, one ball of light glowed rainbow-like for a split second as it gained a rainbow light and couldn't believe what he saw.

"Holy shit! A Mythical Class Gift!" said Aki in shock as the rainbow-colored ball whirled around him and entered his body and instantly knew what the Gift is.

"Thank you, Ai!" said Aki with a laugh as he hastily falls to the ground at a rapid pace and turned his body around so that his back faces the ground and wore a wide smile.

And as his body neared the ground, he felt himself blacking out and for a split fell unconscious and instantly woke up in the next second and felt the touch of grass touching his exposed neck, legs, and arms.

"Wah!" said Aki as he opened his eyes and saw that he was lying down on a field of grass and slowly stood up to see a field full of greenery, with the sun in the sky and clouds flying through the air.

He looks down on his body that was sitting down on the grassy ground and saw that he was wearing a white shirt and black pants and felt the feeling of cloth touching his body and was impressed with how realistic this game was.

"Status" muttered Aki as a floating screen appeared in front of him.

[Aki]

[Title: ]

[Race: Human]

[Class: Jobless]

[Body: F]

[Mind: F]

[Energy: F]

[Skills: ]

"Holy fuck! It's fucking mythical rank Heal!" muttered Aki in shock as he quickly looks around to test if it was as strong as he read from forums and grab a random stick from the ground and slowly bled himself a bit and felt the realistic pain.

"Wait… why am I feeling that weird feeling again? I know this feeling" muttered Aki as he suddenly noticed the weird feeling he felt when he actually first entered the IVR pod and put his consciousness inside the IVR world.

"Is this… no, it's different" muttered Aki as he grabs some grass and felt its lifelike texture, the life-like sense of touch, everything was too real.

"Sigh, it seems like more mysteries just keep popping out of nowhere, well it doesn't matter anyway, if you don't fear what most mortals fear, then nothing is really a problem to me" muttered Aki as he looks at his bleeding forearm and use his Mythical rank Heal Gift that only two people have in-game, and it was the Saintess in-game that was actually an NPC as propaganda of sorts for the real Saintess in the real world, and just like real life where he can also rival the Saintess in terms of healing prowess, he, ironically enough, also gained a Healing Gift that can revive anyone from the dead in-game.

Soon, a warm golden glow covered his bleeding forearm and felt a sense of warmth covering the gash and saw it healing at a visible pace and without any difficulty at all, it just shows how powerful mythical rank Gifts are, as only a few people in-game ever got one, there is a restriction of sorts for Reincarnation that if you kill your character, you will either have to get a source of reviving like the Saintess or reincarnate, you would lose all of your progress, items and more but you do get a new Gift, and this is where the restriction for exploiting the reincarnation function comes.

You can only reincarnate once per day, now that may seem not much but the chances of gaining a powerful Gift are already low, so it encourages others to instead just play and train their Gifts to rank up, and there is also one more incentive. If you were powerful in your previous life, accumulated lots of good karma, have a magical item that works only at reincarnation and some other stuff, you can actually reincarnate with a guaranteed chance of gaining a mythical Gift but only a few were able to do it with how hard the requirements are, and the thought of sacrificing everything you work hard for and just drain it down the drain for just a mythical class Gift and now needing to start all over again doesn't really seem that appealing, besides, you might as well get very powerful and look for a way to gain a new Gift that doesn't require reincarnation.

"Ngh, let's do this!" said Aki as he walked towards the prosperous town in the far distance as his adventure in this New World shall now start.

AN: Now why would a super AI who governs billions of people worldwide, would help our dear little Aki? Its kinda weird right, just saying.

And just a little hint, I am giving massive foreshadowing for the future arcs with this and the previous chapter alone, like if you didn't notice the strange hints I wrote then your just like those stupid MHA: Telekinesis readers not understanding the very much simple plot.

The Sword of Damocles hangs above each and everyone one of you with its ever present threat of despair, so send me some power stones with your power of friendship and save the thousands perhaps even millions to come who will read this masterpiece immortalized in the tunnels of time.
