20 Ch 19 - Training
(A Few Days Later)
Inside a cozy-looking living room filled with the color white, the family of four could be seen sitting around in their own couches doing their own stuff.
"So, Aki, the entrance exam for Hope Academy is coming up. And we know you've been going to the hospital with us along with your brother, so do you want to enroll over there?" asked my father who looked at me with curious eyes.
"… Maybe?" I said in confusion, I unfortunately didn't gain any Gifts in my ventures at the hospital for the past few days but at least I gained more data on my Gift.
"So you do want to enroll for Hope Academy," said my mother with a nod full of understanding.
"Well, I guess there's no harm in trying," I said with a shrug as my parents chuckled.
"Ooooh, are you going to be a Hero nii-chan!" said Shiro with sparkling eyes by the side.
"Hehe, I don't have an offensive Gift, so maybe I'll just be a support like a healer," I said while ruffling Shiro's hair.
"Well don't worry, because I will be a great hero in the future who will protect you," said Shiro with a smile.
"Okay okay," I said while my parents chuckled from the side.
"Well I'm going to train for now inside the forest," I said to my parents as I stood up from the couch.
"Remember to come home early," said my mother.
"I will!" I said as I went inside my room upstairs and put on a tracksuit that was colored blue with white stripes all around the body.
After that, I got out of the house and started to go towards the place I train at and it is inside the forest a few kilometers away just outside the city.
After jogging for a few minutes, I arrived at the forest with slight sweat dripping from my forehead with rough breathing.
After recuperating from that short cardio, I did some stretches and prepared to do my usual training.
Soon, bugs started to surround the area I was standing on as they grabbed some twigs, leaves, and other stuff you can gather from the forest, and in less than a minute, a training dummy stood in front of me that I could use to practice some stuff.
I then walked back a few meters away from the dummy and pointed my right index finger at it and activated one of my Gifts, as power coursed through my body, my right index finger inflated to an unnatural degree as the air was sucked inside it.
"Bang" I muttered along with my finger discharging a bullet of air towards the dummy squarely hitting it on the head even though the distance between me and the dummy was quite vast and watched how the bullet pierce through the head and a few other trees behind it.
I then took a deep breath as more bugs soon surrounded the area along with balls of dirt, twigs, and leaves soon started to float all around me.
And with my eyes dilating, I pointed each of my fingers at the ten floating balls of random materials that my bugs controlled and within a split second, my fingers inflated and release a bullet of air towards the ten balls, squarely hitting them in the middle making tons of bugs die in the process which I revived because I don't want to accidentally run out of bugs to use.
After that, my body started to float in the air and took off to the skies filled with trees that acts as my obstacles and started to rapidly fly around the forest, agilely dodging the trees with ease as my training paid off with the stuff I am capable of doing right now and decided to go faster.
And as my speed increased, the leaves near me that acted as a roof ruffled from the wind pressure I was producing and flew around the forest for a few more minutes until I felt exhausted.
And as I levitated towards the ground, I sat down on a random boulder and recuperated for a bit.
And with a heavy breath, I activated one of my Gifts and felt my arm becoming more durable than steel and my finger sharper than the greatest of swords and stab it towards the boulder, and as my finger pierce through the boulder like butter, I move it around and wondered how this supernatural thing works, maybe my molecules and atoms were rearranged to be sharp?
After doing that, my form then changes into Akira, then the delivery guy who died as collateral damage from the start, the lady I used to kill those two idiots inside the alley, and finally reverted back to my real form with sweat dripping down my head.
"Phew, finally finish," I said and lied down on the rough bolder and looked at the leafy sky while sweat coated my body.
"Ugh, I wish I could have a cleaning Gift right now," I said while I felt my skin sticking to the sweaty tracksuit but I can't just kill people without a care because of the number of heroes inside Hope City.
"Sigh, do I even apply for Hope Academy?" I wondered in confusion because I really don't know what to do with my life currently.
Hopes and Dreams, aspirations and goals, so many stuff to think about for my life.
Power? Power seems appealing, to be at the top of the world and not worry about anything.
I don't even know what to do with my necromancer powers because it's currently useless, I could make an undead pawn who would act as a villain and just go on a rampage but then how would I heal people and gain some Gifts?
It would just put more suspicion on me with how I am always coincidentally there when a villain attacks.
Eh, I'll just cross that bridge once I join Hope Academy.
And with that, I jump off the boulder and fell face-first onto the earthy ground and felt my face bruising up, with a sigh, I healed my face and wondered how I became this tolerant to pain.
But as I stood up, I felt a presence looking at me as my sixth sense was tingling and looked to the left and saw a giant wolf?
Huh, that wolf's a bit too big, probably affected by some random villain's concoctions like a steroid pill.
And as the giant wolf with dark blue fur looked at me with shining yellow eyes, it growled with hostility and decided to see how strong I am in real life.
So with a chuckle, I stood up with a smile and looked at the beast with crimson red eyes, a crazed grin with red miasma spewing out of my body that started to scare the beast.
"Die," I said and as those words got out of my mouth, the red miasma around me seemed to come alive that scared the living shit out of the beast, instantly falling to the ground with fear, paralyzing its body with just my killing intent.
I then slowly walked towards the beast with a smile while my hands became sharper than a sword and with one swift blow, I… rolled up my sleeves because fuck blood and then stabbed the wolf on the head, killing it in an instant and felt the flesh, brain matter, bones and other gross stuff covering my hand.
"Yuck," I said while I swung my hand to the ground to make the blood fly off and looked at the dead wolf with interested eyes.
"Eh, I'll just revive you and let you live again, of course, under a thread that I can always take back to regain control," I said while I revived the wolf in an instant and watched the hole in its head healing back and saw the wolf's lifeless eyes regain back its glow.
"You're welcome, remember to not disturb me next time," I said to the wolf while patting its head and saw it nodding at me in confusion who quickly run away in a hurry and just put the thread between me and the wolf at the back of my mind to not disturb me.
"Yawn," I said while I looked up and saw that it was already almost night as the sun was setting in the distance.
Then with some stretches to relieve the stress from my strained body, I slowly floated into the air and flew out of the forest at a relatively fast pace and felt the fresh breeze hitting my face and smiled in wonder.
Ngh, can't wait to play New World again after I finish doing the entrance exam for Hope Academy, it should be easy for me because I just need to heal some people and if they see that I can heal severe wounds with ease along with some limbs with slight difficulty, they will instantly want to invite me because I would be as good as my dad if I can do that at a young age and my worth would skyrocket in terms of being a healer.
Then as I got out of the forest, I was greeted with the beautiful open field of grass along with the sunset and put on a wide smile as life seems to just get better with each passing moment even with the problems I will have to face, I just hope I'm not part of something far bigger than what it already is because holy fuck, that would severely suck.

But beside that sentence that only a few would understand, I'll keep it a mystery on why I cut it out ;)
Nope, I just realize how everyone's mental state would degrade on that cesspool of shit so don't follow me there, you know what, I don't think anyone should even use it.
