15 Confrontation against human authorities! (2)

By nightfall, the mountain range was not as quiet as it had been earlier that day, and many figures were pouring in.

These men with loaded rifles were in the thousands, typically rare for the public eye to see, but they now gathered for one collective purpose.

And what they were facing was no ordinary criminal. It was a giant.

This creature, which exists only in myths and legends, is the challenge they must face.

To kill the monster, to save the hostages, and to kill it before it does any more damage. These were their objectives.

The screams of the children echoed through the mountains. The army could and did locate their target, but they dared not go close without a plan.

"Take cover and report any movement immediately!" Captain Li Jian ordered.

"Yes!"

The soldiers beside him replied and fanned out to search.

"I heard that the monster is several meters tall and has a human head," one of the soldiers said to his companion.

"What are you afraid of? Even if it has eight heads, can it stop bullets?" Hearing his companion's words, the soldier relaxed.

Not far behind them, a large hand raked the bushes, making the sound of footsteps. A pair of large lantern eyes were locked on their prey, and its vast body was oppressive, its powerful arms uprooting trees from waist height.

It launched the trees at the men.

"Watch out! AH-" Bang! A soldier dodged and was hit by the flying tree, spitting blood and dying a miserable death.

"Roar~~~!" A notable figure appeared, leaping high into the air, the tree in his hand smashing into the crowd again.

"Shoot! Aah! Aah!"

"Ta-da! Ta-da! Ta-da!" Dense gunfire rang through the deep forest, and the birds and other animals scattered in alarm.

"Hurry! It's this way, get support..." The forest was ablaze with fire and screams of terror.

"Roar~~~!" The giant's large body grabbed the trees and crushed them with force, the formation was shattered, and many people were even killed and injured by the crash.

The giant used the ground to hide every time it attacked while defending itself from the other side's sneak attack.

Within moments, the well-equipped tactical squad had been routed and wholly neutralized, leaving corpses all over the ground.

Swoosh! A rocket grazed his shoulder and exploded behind Li Feng, flames shooting into the sky, igniting many trees.

"Ow~!" In a mountainous area, a police dog walking with its head down suddenly stopped and raised its head to bark.

"There's a view!" the soldier in charge of the fiber rope yelled, reporting the situation to his allies.

Immediately after, the dog popped up, running furiously, head down, followed by the same soldiers on leashes.

There were about a dozen of them, each about the size of a calf, and their terrifying fighting power was such that even a lion or tiger had to avoid them.
