7 Cleaning the Residential Building (5)

It was a monster.

While the monster looks human, it's impossible for it to be human due to its enormous size.

Its face, which was the size of a basin, had unnameable liquid dripping from the corners of its mouth. This slid down his neck and onto his shoulders, staining it with a dark red substance.

Even lying on the ground, with elbows supporting its weight, it was much taller than an adult. The arms occupied the entire lobby, and eyes as big as the palm of one's hand stared at the crowd.

Bang! Boom! A big hand came down; a man, trying to dodge it, was hit by the table-sized thing, the ground beneath him collapsing. Then the creature lifted its fearsome paw, and on the ground was a puddle of guts, flesh and bone; the man died and was reincarnated as organ soup.

Li Feng then grabbed the intact parts and threw it into his mouth, a sickening crunch filling the air; it only took two or three swallows to finish him.

Seeing the monster perform a slaughter in front of their eyes, the crowd no longer doubted the supernatural circumstances proposed by the boy - screaming after seeing the gruesome scene, they began to run in the opposite direction, crowding the narrow hallway.

However, though the adults could run faster, the children in the back who were frantically calling behind them could not.

Naturally, Li Feng took advantage of this. Gripping a fallen little girl in his hand, he squeezed, red liquid exploded out of his fist; it was as if a child had squeezed his juicebox too hard.

Thinking of the child as a dessert - as she had no nutritional value nor meat compared to the others - Li Feng threw her in his mouth, chewing on her for two or three seconds, and then swallowed her. He licked the blood left on his palm.

"No… my child!" The woman saw her child being eaten and let out a despairing scream. As she was rushing towards her deceased child, her husband gripped her arm.

"She's dead! Let's go!" The husband was also grief-stricken, tears fell from his eyes, but the child was already dead, and it was futile to lose another loved one.

"Hmph! You can't get away," Li Feng coldly remarked. The palm of his hand slapped the wall, causing the floor to shake, and he casually grabbed a table-sized block of cement and threw it forward, hitting the two.

"A family should be together!" Both hands grabbed the remaining mincemeat that was their bodies, throwing them into his mouth and, after chewing on them, swallowing.

After finishing the married couple, Li Feng locked his gaze onto the remaining targets. In the time it took to eat the family of three, multiple people decided to try their luck hiding.

Liu Wen and a young man ran into an apartment, and another middle-aged couple with their children hid in a separate room.

In the two rooms, both near the outermost side of the building, both with prey inside, Li Feng approached softly like a cat chasing a mouse.

Looking at the middle-aged couple hiding in the room, Li Feng grinned, pulled back his fist, and punched through the wall, the door falling with a boom.

"Ah! Help!" The child leapt into his mother's arms and let out a whimpering cry. The parents were just as frightened.

Faced with the monster closing in on them, the middle-aged man summoned all his courage and shouted, rushing towards Li Feng and clinging to his huge arm.

"Don't worry about me, you guys run!" The middle-aged man gripped onto Li Feng's arm with all his strength, trying to save his wife and son.

Li Feng's huge body almost occupied half of the room, but, in the doorway, it was possible - though improbable - to escape, as there was some space between his legs.

The woman saw the chance to escape with her child, but Li Feng did not entertain her wish. With a wave of his hand, the middle-aged man pulling on his arm smashed into the ceiling.

The man gripped his arm in pain and fell to the ground, and though his bones were broken, he still struggled.

Li Feng could not help but be moved by this scene and did not let him suffer more; a fist smashed into the man's back, ending his life.

Seeing her husband's body fall in front of them, the middle-aged woman wanted to escape. Still, her legs were too weak to make a worthwhile effort, and she simply could not run fast with the child.

The woman knew there was no hope of escape yet had to protect her child, but, in testament to her will, there were no tears in her eyes during this panic.

Li Feng grabbed her child and threw him in his mouth anyway.

"Please, let him go! Eat me instead! Let go of my child! No..."

Ignoring the woman's heartbreaking plea, Li Feng bit down, dissecting the little boy's body with his teeth; intestines and organs fell to the ground.

After finishing with the child, Li Feng began eating the man.

Until the middle-aged man was completely eaten, the woman did not have the slightest movement, only leveling an empty, hopeless stare at Li Feng.

Li Feng does not care; who cares about the thoughts of food? Food staying still is more efficient and saves him the effort to catch it.

After devouring the women, another family together, Li Feng set his sights on the two remaining young men, Liu Wen and another, in the other room.

Although the family of three wasted a few minutes of Li Feng's time, it was not enough to let the young men run out, and even if they tried to, the entrance to the building had long been destroyed. It's impossible to escape without jumping down, but that would lead to death for ordinary humans.

Within the room, Liu Wen and the young man trembled, especially when hearing the feast in the opposite room.

The young man called the police in a hurry and tried to explain that a monster was hunting them, but the police told him not to prank-call them and hung up.

"Now what do we do?" the young man asked Liu Wen.

Liu Wen tightly gripped a kitchen knife, beads of sweat began to drip down his forehead. He has been extremely nervous, trying to figure out how to escape from here, so he completely ignored his companion.

The doorknob gently turned, and so did the door.

Bang! Boom! Suddenly, the room's closed door was smashed open.

Appearing in the doorway, the same monster that slaughtered everyone else bared its fangs at them.
