Chapter 3

In a brightly spacious room, a girl was lying down on her bed. Her sleeping face was delicate as flower, her petite body sunk comfortably on her mattress. It was afternoon and the sun was shining so brightly.

The girl slowly opened her eyes, her ruby like eyes shimmered giving her small face a mature look.

Staring blankly at the ceiling for a moment, she then realized her surrounding is different. Quickly getting up from her bed, she rushed out of her room and slammed the door open startling the people from outside. The maids looked at her confused

Kaitlyn's heart was jumping out of her chest.

'W-what the heck?! Where am I'

As her mind was about to explode, memories of someone suddenly popped in her mind. Her head began to ache that she cannot bear the pain and fainted on the spot

Maids panicked and quickly brought her back to her room and laid her down her bed.

"What happened to young miss?" A maid asked.

"I don't know, didn't she just faint this morning too? Maybe it's a sign of disease or something? We should quickly tell the lord," a maid then ran out of her room.

It was already midnight when she woke up. Kaitlyn's mind was steadily coping with the changes, this time her memories we're different. It seems like someone else's memory collided with hers. She remembered she got hit by a car and died, was she reincarnated to another world? It was totally different from where she lives.

Anyway's what matters most was that she has a second chance to live again.

In what the girls memory says, she was an only child loved by her parents, her mother died after giving birth to her and her father raised her all by himself. When she was 13 years old, her father remarried a woman who has two children's, and after a year her father died because of lung cancer. Catherine was never fond of her step mother Agatha and her step sister Jenneth. However, she was quite close to Livia, or so what she thought. When she was 20 years old, she was poisoned none other than the sister she thought she trusted the most, Livia.

Kaitlyn was thinking deeply in her own world when a faint light emitted on her dark room. She looked up only to see a young girl looking at her, her body was glowing faintly.

For a second Kaitlyn thought she saw a ghost and was petrified on her bed, but only did she notice her face and figure was exactly the girl in her memories.

"Are you perhaps the girl in my memory?" Kaitlyn asked faintly.

The girl looked directly at her eyes. After a second of staring at her, she nodded slightly and opened her mouth.

"You must have already known me by now, my background and history right? You we're probably sent here for a reason and I too have a reason as to why I need you," the girl slowly walked by the bedside and sat down, "I know I might be asking for too much but I have a favour to ask you for, I want you to take revenge for me from those people who have hurt me, my soul shall not rest completely unless they have been destroyed by your own hands," the girl swept her eyes around the room and looked outside the balcony.

Kaitlyn was silent. She didn't know how to react nor what to response, and so she looked at the girl facing her back from her.

Somehow she has this feeling that her heart was being squeezed just by looking at her innocent face that has gone through a painful time. She wanted to embrace and help her but not knowing the girl completely she just silently stared at her.

"I'll help you"

Catherine was taken aback. She wasn't expecting for her to agree knowing full well what danger might lie in the future.

"I'll help you because if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a chance to live again. I still have so many things I wanted to learn," a faint but sweet smile crept into her lips.

Catherine couldn't contain her emotions and burst into tears, "Even if I am a spirit I still have emotions, but I can't believe you would actually help me. Thank you so much," holding each other's hand the two girls embraced each other, and as time passes Catherine's spirit began to fade away and so they break each other's embrace and stared at each other.

"Kaitlyn if it wasn't for you my soul would have never rest in peace. Thank you for your help, goodbye," as she bid farewell to Kaitlyn her spirit has already vanished.

Kaitlyn on her quiet and dark room stared outside of her balcony. Her ruby eyes dazzling under the moonlight, "Goodbye Kaitlyn," and so she closed her eyes once more sending herself to slumber.
