7 Old man's past

Reaching her house, Elizabeth immediately closed the door and went to the bedroom. She started crying after reached the bedroom. It was not because she was sad, it was because she was happy, she was very happy that she can't even control her tears and her burst of emotions. She just collapsed on her bed and continued.

While she was crying in her home, the old man did throw a feast. Since he was the head guard of the village, he had the power to do so. Saito got along with the old man very well. They talked about what they faced, drinks, Kingdoms and womens. Saito couldn't follow him on the drinks and women parts as he already made up a story for the adventure he had part. He seriously underestimated the old man, his womanizer talk gave him chills running down his spine. "Master Christopher, there are kids here you know? I think its better if stop these kind of womanizer talks, they still have an innocent life ahead of them, they can learn about these kind of things when they become teenagers" Saito said bluntly which made the old man cough awfully.

the old man said, "My apologizes Master Saito, I got carried away and I didn't realize that they were here". The old man now viewed Saito in a new light. Previously, he saw him as a great warrior with amazing skills, but now he sees him as a good man with a kind heart. The old man remembered his days of pride and arrogance. He was very well hated by the people in their territory. Only after joining the army did he learn about how he was in his young age as whenever he looks at the nobles, he would understand why everyone hated him, even he himself wanted to hate him after seeing those nobles act all arrogantly. The first thing he did when he returned was apologizing for whatever he may have done and paying gold to compensate for the deeds.

The people were stunned to see his change, but nonetheless they all accepted him and his apology. He was really moved at that time and he cried silly before everyone. Then he trained and trained and trained harder till he became an elite and the most strongest and the most skilled swordsman of the kingdom.

He got a chance to be appointed in the royal army and got promoted to be a guard for the royal family. At that time, he got to meet the king, the queen, the prince and the adorable little princess. The king and queen were always good to the people and the soldiers. They were very well loved by the whole kingdom, justice and truth prevailed in their ruling. The prince was a talent who is almost unparalleled. His academics and combat skills grew day by day.

The princess wasn't lagging behind either, she was only a little girl yet she showed interest in academics, diplomatics and combating as well as strategizing. She possesed a unique trait. A girl of age 9 learning diplomatics made everyone in the throne hall speechless. Even themselves started learning diplomatics when they were 12, yet a 9 year old girl was learning those boring things. They could only say that their kingdom will thrive after she grew up.

Even her brother once put a bombshell on the ministry, nobles and the royal family. He said, "why don't we let her be the queen and take over the kingdom? I'll be the shield and sword while she be the one to wield me! If we do that, then Daria will thrive extremely than other kingdoms, do what you all say?".

Hearing the crown prince say something like giving up the crown is never heard of, so they were all flabbergasted but still admired his thoughts. The king almost broke into tears. One of the nobles said, "Prince William! It will mean you won't be king! Are you fine with that?". William just smiled and said, "Well I don't have a wish to be king or anything. I just want our people to live a happy and comfortable life and if my sister can give it to them, why not give her the kingdom? I'm sure we can expect an extraordinary rule under her". Hearing the prince be confident in the little girl, they could only nod their head. But there were some who opposed the idea of it.

The now old man Reinard saw all this when he was standing guard in the throne room. He let out a *sigh* when he thought about all this. Seeing that everyone were enjoying themselves, Saito slipped out of the crowd. He found a secluded place near the wall and lay down beside a tree, looking at the starry sky. He started remembering his past life while staring the sky filled with star. "I wonder if I can go back? If I can't, can I at least find her in this unknown world? While she recognize me? Will she still love me?" There were many questions in his mind. He wanted to find her, he wanted to hug her, he wanted to feel her, he wanted to cry on her shoulder. He wanted to do many things with her and yet he had no idea on where she is.

While he was thinking about her, tears started rolling down his eyes. "Master...." A feminine voice sounded near his side. He wiped his tears and looked to his side and saw that the his familiar partner was in her wolf girl form. She looked a bit concerned.

He then put a smile on his face and asked her, "what's wrong, nirashi?". She bit her lips when she saw him smile and asked him, "Master, that's my line! I can feel your emotions, so even if you try to hide it from me, it will not work! Tell me master! Did I do anything wrong?". Seeing that his act was seen through, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "well.....I can't hide anything from you, can i? ". "Ah- i-i- I am Sorry master!" She hit her head right on the ground. Seeing her act like this made him laugh and forgot the sad mood he had.

He then said, "no, its not your fault, I was just thinking about someone.....someone... Special.... Anyway let's not dwell on it and just find a place to sleep" he said. "Yes, master" that's all she said before going back to a blade.

He got up and went to the place where the feast was taking place. He found the old man drinking. He went near him and asked, "Master Christopher, can I get a place to stay?". The Christopher looked at him and said, "let me ask around, there should be one for you to stay". He then got up and went around to ask.

Saito just enjoyed the company of little kids who were gathering around him and asking various things such as where he came from, what he saw on the way and lot of curious things the kids will ask about. he then looked around and saw that Elizabeth was not here. Curiously he asked a boy near him, "hey do you know where Ellie is?". The boy looked at him indifferently and asked, "why do you want to know?". Saito replied, "Well....she's the first person I saw and was wondering what she's doing" he said while scratching his cheek. The boy seems hesitant and said, "well, what she's doing is none of your concern, so don't worry about it". The boy seems....concerned?

Saito just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. Then a little boy and girl came to him and asked, "Mister, are you looking for big sister Ellie? She's in her house, its that way! Come with us we will take you there!" The little girl said.

"Kids! What are you doing!? Do you want me to talk to your parents!?" The boy he previously asked growled at them. The kids got scared and nearly went on tears, "we..... *sniff* we just wanted to help him" the boy said with teary eyes.

Saito stepped in and said, "calm down dude, easy now, why are you shouting at the kids? They just wanted to help they said and what's wrong with that?". He then sized up the boy, he looked nearly his age, only a year or two short.

He came near Saito and pointed his finger on his chest and said, "well you don't need to know about our issues, outsider". They made quite the scene so everyone started looking at them. It was straight provocation.

Saito then said, "don't do that alright?". The boy once again pointed his finger on his chest and said in a mocking tone, "what? You mean this? I'll do it how many times I want to, what will you do outsider?".

Saito couldn't take it anymore. He smiled and grabbed his wrist and twisted it which followed a punch right in his upper stomach and a strike on his leg which made the boy lose his balance and kneel while Saito still holding his left hand. It all happened in 3.5 seconds.

Everyone had their mouth hanging wide. Clyde just provoked Saito, the Samurai from the east and got his ass kicked in 3 seconds. This is something they don't see everyday. Clyde is considered as someone who is strong and also is good on combat. Everyone knows that Clyde has an eye for Elizabeth, some even thought of them as a good match. Elizabeth only treated him as a friend and he never conveyed his feelings.

But looking at him now, he looked like a immature kid.

Saito said in a cold voice, "don't try to provoke me or get in my way, if you do? You will regret it!". His voice sounded like the devil from hell, he was scared to pants.
