1 Prologue: The Retracers
In the year 24XX, scientists have discovered that all of the humans have a common ancestor. This ancestor was unexpected as it didn't come from the theorized natural evolution, but rather the exact opposite.
The humans' ancestors are gods. These gods aren't any normal omnipotent and omniscient god, but instead the primordial gods that govern the universe. Finding this out, these scientists tapped into the hidden god blood within them and awakened it, turning into the first generation of ascended humans, the Retracers.
These Retracers retraced their blood back to the common ancestor, which enhanced and evolved their genetics. As they continued to go further through their retracing, these Retracers had answers to questions that were previously unanswered. One of the most famous unanswered questions were whether the gods that the humans worship exist. The Retracers answered with one statement.
"The gods of our religions are all high ranking Retracers."
These first generation Retracers realized, that retracing was common in the ancient times, but became forgotten somewhere in between.
With continuous retracing, power filled their body to the brim, giving them a false feeling of achieving anything with one hand. Starting world peace, ending world hunger, or...
...dominating the world.
This thought filled the first Retracers' hearts and started the first war that devastated the lands of the Earth, the Grand Retracer Apocalypse.
From this war came the second generation of Retracers, those that awakened their god blood through a faster process. They fought valiantly to fight back against the first Retracers, but most of them died without a corpse.
In the end of that decade long war, billions of innocent people were killed, leaving the lucky ones and of course, the Retracers.
The Retracers realized that their war broke the lands of the Earth and made it inhabitable. This forced them to work with the lucky humans and start colonizing Mars. Then the other planets. After five years, the humans had full control over the solar system, entering a new age of humanity.
With peace spread out through the solar system, the Retracers decided to create an alliance that would protect humanity for years to come, the Solaris Alliance.
With the help of the alliance, the humans expanded beyond the solar system, colonizing other solar system, and even taking control of a whole starfield after 400 years.
Throughout these 400 years of expansion, many generations of humans awakened, becoming a Retracer of the Alliance. These Retracers enhanced the human's quality of life, achieving a state of utopia, allowing them to enter another Golden Age of Humanity.
After another 150 years, one of the founding Retracers of the Alliance broke through a certain threshold in retracing their god blood and instantly ascended beyond mortals, giving off an aura of power and grace. That Retracer formed his own strand of divinity, becoming a god.
Taking that Retracer's experience, the other Retracers also broke through that threshold, becoming gods as well. With that, the Solaris Alliance became a force to be reckoned with.
