18 (18+) Chapter-17 From Death To Birth

It's now been a week since Sam had left to go out of town, I'm now 7 months pregnant with my fourth child and second daughter as this will be my last pregnancy. Jakob's been taking more time off work to help me out as it's been really rough with just me and Liza with our children lately. It's late one evening when we get a knock on our door as Jakob and I both get up to answer it, we see it's two cops at our front door. One of them speaks "Hello good evening I'm detective Barnnaby, are you the family of Samuel Baker?"(Yes!) "I hate to inform you but he was involved in a fatal car accident.The morgue will be contacting you to collect his belongings." I was in total shock to what the detective said it went in one ear and out the other and my world as I know it just changed forever! Jakob wraps his arms around me to comfort me as I break down crying and Jakob's got tears in his eyes as I know he's trying to be strong for me.Two days later I go to the morgue as I walk in the mortician says to me "Mrs.Baker his wedding band was the only thing salvageable from the accident.We highly suggest cremation is the best option." while I am listen to her I put his ring around my necklace he bought me when we was teens. Mr. Alan wraps his arm around me and walks me back out to our car so he can take me home. Three days later Jakob helps Liza get our children ready. As I'm getting ready I get I start having contractions so I run a bath and get in so I can ease them. The contractions are 20 minutes apart and I put my black dress on with a black veil so nobody can see that I'm in pain. When the funeral ends I see a mysterious car sitting there so I walk towards it until my water breaks, I cry out in pain as I lean down as I'm contracting I see the mysterious car speed off. Jakob runs to me and rushes me into the hospital. I deliver Rose prematurely she weighs only 3 pounds and 8 oz, she's in the NICU uunit.All I do is cry since our daughter's premature and I've lost my husband! I never take Sam's and my wedding rings off as I wear them all the time. I only wear the engagement ring he got me. "Sweetheart everything's going to be okay. Rose will get strong and come home I promise. I love you baby." Jakob said to me as he held me. I gotten my tubes tied after Rose was born. As we're home and we go to see Rose everyday and I want her home, I want Sam back, I miss him. I've got his ashes in a urn on the fireplace next to our wedding pictures. A month later while we visit Rose and I'm rocking her to sleep Jakob sits next to us I break down crying so he gets Rose and puts her back into the hospital bed."My sweetheart everything is going to get better I promise you. Rose'll get better and be home soon too. I love you so much and I'm not going anywhere My Queen I promise you I'm not!"He tells me since I get scared every time he leaves to go to work. That night I put Sam's t-shirt on and wear it to bed like I do every night. A month later we get to bring Rose home as she is now strong enough. As soon as we walk in Aleck & Nick, Angelika all come to her as she's in her car seat. "I'm you big brother Aleck your other brother is Nick. So you've got 2 brothers." Aleck whispered to her and sat down next to Jakob. Nick held her little hand as he whispers to her "I'm Nick sissy, Angelika's your sister too." Nick kissed her on her head. It's now 2years later since I lost Sam and we had Rose it's a bitter sweet day for us. Angelika's 3 Nick and Alex are both 6. I take the cake and call everyone in from the pool, Jakob wraps his arm around me while he holds Rose "I love you baby, you've done great with our children." I smile at him "I love you too Jakob." and I kissed him. Sam's mom hugs me "I still miss him very much Avery." Mrs. Baker said, I hug her tightly as my eyes get tears in them "Me to Mom" I said to her. I walk away and go upstairs into our bedroom so I can cry. When I come back downstairs I sit next to Jakob as we eat cake and Mr. & Mrs.Baker help clean up. As I sit there Jakob gets up and gets down on his knee "Avery let's get married!" I smile 'Yes!'. Mr. & Mrsn Baker was both shocked but they still congratulated us on our engagement. I asked Jakob to unhook my necklace so I can put my engagement ring on it along with Sam's and mine wedding bands then he puts my necklace back on me. Jakob slides the engagement ring onto my finger that he bought me,then I get up and walk into the kitchen so I can show the Baker's the ring. They both smile and Mrs. Baker hugs me "Is this the right time yet?" I smile at her as I kiss her on her cheek,"Mom I'm going to marry Jakob because I love him and I don't want him to leave me. I'm scared he'll end up leaving." she smiles. She then hugs me tightly "Do it as long as you're happy! Sam would approve of it." she said to me. I smile as I hug her tightly as I speak "Thanks Mom and I hope he would be happy!" A year later Jakob and I get married and Rose's 3, Angelika's 5 and Nick and Alex are both but now 8 as the three of them just had a birthday.
