1 Ch.1| A new beginning
My name is Umbra Sky, and I'm 17 years old. I'm an ordinary student who got bored of high school and decided to skip it at 15 and get higher education at a college. I'm currently in my second year. I skipped high school because I found out that I could get more and better knowledge at a college, which would let me get closer to my ambition.
But when I was going home while reading my assignment for today, I decided to go to a store and buy some groceries to cook some food at home. When I was in the store and was buying some things I heard some noise at the front when I went to look I could see three men in thug like clothes and they had some weird mask that covered their faces, but I could also see the guns they had in their hands.
I was about to hide and call the police, but when I hid, I saw four kids with a woman.
Umbra: 'By analyzing the appearance, height, and maturity of the kids, I could assume they are 7 to 9 years old, and the woman in front of them seems to be in her early thirties. Damn it!! I can't hide while hoping those men won't shoot or take the kids hostage if the police arrive, but I can't fight three men head-on with weapons, and I'm not some Mc from fanfiction with the IQ of 10 that jumps into trouble and die because of their stupidity, I have to think with clear and rational thoughts.'
After he had that thought, he looked around and analyzed everything in sight and thought of different scenarios that could play out, but most of them succeeded with his death. Then, finally, after a couple of seconds, he finds the best strategy.
Umbra: 'I'll first call the police, and then I will proceed with the best plan in mind. I have to be quick and quiet if I make one mistake, the plan will fail, but it will still let the children and the caretaker get away alive.'
After this thought passed Umbra's mind, he immediately proceeded to do his plan. He first made some noise away from his position, which would lead the leader to send both of his underlings out to get the other individuals in the store. After that, he could take one of them out, then take the others out as well, when he began. His scenario began to play out, and he followed the scenario step by step. When he knocked out one of the men, he took all his weapons away from him and hid them somewhere safe. Then, Umbra began to make his way to the next man. When he got there, he saw the man looking around, so he quickly made his way to him to knock him out as well. When Umbra succeeded, he made his way to take all the weapons took all the weapons from him as well, but he kept a gun he took from the man.
Umbra: 'Just in case the need comes, or I fail to complete the scenario.'
After that, he made his way to the leader, overlooking the caretaker and the children. He could see that the man didn't notice him and looked at the hostages he had in front of him. I made me knocked him out when I got close. I could see one of the children looking at me, which brought the man's attention. Noticing this, I ran with everything I had. I got there in time and hit the man as hard as possible to make him lose focus. After that, I quickly punched him in the stomach, seeing he had trouble catching his breath. Seeing that, I quickly knocked him out. After I did that, I walked forward to the woman and children.
While the woman seemed relieved, the children were excited and happy seeing a movie scenario in Infront of them, I couldn't help but smile unconsciously. But, unfortunately, I could also hear the sirens in the distance, so I decided to take the woman and children out of the store.
When Umbra was about to go home, he saw a man coming out of the store with a gun, and noticing that the woman and children were in his sight, he quickly made his way to protect them.
When he got there and stood in front of them he heard a loud sound and then he could feel the pain when he registered it he quickly turned around with the gun he still had on him and shot the man in the head, killing him instantly.
After he was sure the man was dead, he laid down on the ground to relax his body so the pain wouldn't continue.
Umbra: 'sigh seriously, why is my luck so bad? It's like I'm cursed with E rank luck, and the bullet even went near my heart, meaning there's probably internal bleeding, but at least the people are safe, but I could shoot him before he had the chance of doing anything, but that didn't go as planned well, let's wait for my death.'
While thinking this, he could see the people surrounding him, and some cried while thanking him while the rest looked at him with worry. Finally, he could feel his consciousness fading away after some seconds, so he closed his eyes.
Umbra: 'Where am I? What happened? Who turned the lights off? Did I die? is this the afterlife? If it is, then I'm very disappointed. I mean, there's nothing to look at. Well, it's more like I can feel. I mean, I don't have eyes. It's like a void with nothing in it, but it feels like I've read and seen something like this. WAIT, AM I IN ONE OF THOSE ROB SCENARIOS, wait? If that's it, where is the God, ROB, or the transparent screen with options? Or am I just delusional in believing in all that fiction that I've read'
As Umbra looked around himself, the only thing he could see was the darkness that surrounded him.
Umbra: 'hmm, I don't see or hear any ROB speaking, and there isn't a transparent screen with options. Well, if this is the afterlife, then it isn't that bad. I mean, I can sleep and sleep some more. Okay, I take that back, this is bad I won't be able to take this boredom for more than a month, and that's if I try to recall all the entertainment I've read in my lifetime, lifetime I do when I've recalled all the thing's I've watched and read. You know what? I'm just going to let future me take care of it. Let's get some sleep.'
Two months passed, and our protagonist is currently thinking about his situation.
Umbra: 'This is worse than I thought. I can't even sleep because I don't have a body, and I've already recollected all my memories. Is this hell?
Sees a light that is getting brighter the closer it gets when the light is gone, he can see an older man sitting on some Japanese kind of culture, so he does the logical thing and sits down on the ground the opposite of the older man he presumes to be God.
Umbra: Hi, I'm Umbra Sky, but I presume you already knew that am I correct in my deduction.
God: Yes, yes, you're correct. But that aside, I'm God, or that's what you humans call me anyways, but you see, you died on accident. You were supposed to save the world and bring it to a new era, but you died, which was not supposed to happen. So, you have two options one. You lose your memory and get reborn as a baby and start all over again or option two. You can choose a place to get reincarnated, and you get eight wishes, so which one?
As Umbra heard this, he was so excited but didn't show it, and he began to think about it.
Umbra: Alright, I choose option two with the eight wishes 1. I wish to have all weapons in fiction, non-fiction, anime, fanfictions, and novels, and I want to combine the weapons I have 2. I want a system to help me through everything, so I know what to do and what is what 3. I wish I had the gamer's ability with a shop where I can buy powers, bloodlines, armors, and unique powers, and I want unlimited shop points to purchase everything 4. Be born as God's older brother in high school dxd, but I'm Satan, and we have a good relationship as siblings 5. I want to have Immortality so that I can't die even if I'm erased from existence. Gods or higher beings won't erase me, and I heal instantly from anything 6. I want to adapt/learn things 1.000.000 times faster than an above-average god, so I'm technically a godly prodigy 7. I can know anything instantly to the max level of that technique, but I do it by either hearing or seeing the method, then I will learn it instantly 8. I want unlimited wishes, so if something goes wrong. I can redo it or fix the problem.
God looks at Umbra then he sighs.
God: Alright, if that is all, then goodbye and good luck on your adventure.
