It's hard to increase your strength in a normal world, the gamer system revolves around killing living beings to gain power. To gain skills it's best to have a complete system(in the world) whether it's magic or martial arts, it doesn't matter as long as it's complete. The problem is that Regal doesn't have both, he still doesn't know when gates will appear, and the world doesn't have any supernatural system.
Regal spent a lot of time thinking about how to increase his strength and taking full advantage of The Gamer system.
"For the short term before supernatural events, I'll get skills as much as possible. Whether it's active or passive it will do."
"Since I don't know when will the gates open, I'll choose a few of the skills I get to raise their level as much as possible."
"After the gates open it would be mainly leveling up and testing if I can create IDs, it would be nice if someone in the country had gravity control after all I want as many free status points as possible."
"As for long term… Plan Godhood will be put in action."
After putting the general guidelines, the rest should be easy to follow so Regal went to sleep.
The next morning Regal woke up, checked the E-commerce store then drove to the nearest mountain, He rented a car for a month so he could move around more efficiently.
Regal parked at a parking lot in a gas station near the mountain, and then he hiked his way up. With his status, it took him 2 hours to reach the top where he started training.
To gain a skill you must repeat an action, so he did that. It took him 10 minutes to get [Tear Off] trying to tear a stack of grass.
Then he took another branch and started hitting a tree to get [Strong Hit] and [Blunt weapon mastery].

Allows the user to handle blunt weapons freely. 10% increase in attack damage with blunt weapons. 5% increase in attack speed with blunt weapons.]

The action of tearing something or someone off with a strong grip. 30% increase of power when tearing something off.]

Strikes the target with a strong force. 15% increase in critical rate. 50% increase in attack damage.]
'Low MP and low MP regeneration are starting to annoy me. I have 520 MP and a 1% restoration rate. I get 5 MP per minute; I can restore my MP in 100 minutes. Wisdom adds 1% for every 10 points so 2% is 50 minutes 3% 33 minutes. Technically the difference between 99% and 100% is negligible so the higher the wisdom the more useless putting points in it becomes.'
'Of course, all this math talk was time after all if I have 1 million MP 1% matters in battle.'
(If you don't get the math talk it just means the early investment in wisdom has more impact.)
"So, I will put 5 points in wisdom to get it to 20 now I have to wait for 50 minutes to fully restore MP with the 23% buff from [Meditation] it will take 44.8 minutes."
Regal used these skills till his mana ran off, he meditated and started again. He wanted to get mana rope and bind which were bit harder but, on the way, he got [Mana Control]

Regal continued his training but getting mana rope took longer than expected, but he still got it in the end.

After emptying his MP, he started shadowboxing and doing whatever Kong-fu moves he learned when he was 10 before transmigrating. It took some time but eventually he got [Martial Arts] skill?

"Looks like my Kong-fu teacher was a fraud," said Regal with an annoyed look on his face.
Regal stuck with normal martial arts movements nothing fancy till he got. [Hand-to-hand Combat Mastery]

After gaining 8 skills Regal decided to stop after all he could focus on 3 or 4 skills before the gates opened. "Now I'll focus on mana shield, mana spinning arrow, strong hit, and bind. The problem is they are all active. I'll need some skills to increase MP in the future."
Regal continued to train the 4 skills till the sun started setting and he went home.
After going home, he continued training [mana shield] and [bind] which are now at levels 6 and 4.
For the next weeks, Regal adopted the same routine: E-commerce, training, and programming. He even hacked the Civil Registry to see if his family exists in this world, which of course didn't happen.
He assembled a new computer with better specs, but it can't be compared to his old 2024 PC. He also bought some Bitcoin with the coin being 4 dollars he bought 10000 bitcoins.
His PayPal account is growing very fast, he knows it may not be a good thing. If he was to get the money the legal way, he would have to pay double tax. "I will have to fly to the US sooner than I thought."
Regal opened the PC and searched for companies that have experience in dealing with these types of problems. He spent the night hacking his way through their local network and got every piece of data he could.
With his intelligence points higher Regal's programming and hacking skills were evolving fast, 2012 firewalls are like paper walls.
After analyzing what he got, he decided which company to deal with. With the Time zone difference, he called them at night.
After explaining the matter to Mr. Adam and sending some documents, he said that he was more than happy to help. They will help him set up a company in the US enabling him to pay his taxes, Regal will fly there when his visa comes out.
Luckily for Regal, his new identity came with a passport or else he would have to wait for 2~6 months for the passport, then apply for the visa.
The next morning Regal printed the invitation letter that Adam sent him. It took him half a day to get all his papers right before going to the US embassy.
With his perfect English Regal solved it rather quickly, they said it would take 1~3 months for the results to come out.
At night Regal called Adam and told him to help him with the visa process, in fact, this is one of the reasons Regal decided to work with them, they have connections with the DHS. Regal is aware of how bureaucracy works.
Since the problem is going to be solved soon Regal continued to do dropshipping and he even expanded his work more.
'I'm becoming more of a businessman; I want to go back to my nerd mode.' Thought Regal after a tiring day of work.
It took the visa 15 days to get approved, if any Algerian heard this, they would not believe it. Regal booked the nearest flight in business class which is 3 days later.
"Now to the good part… Splurging, I'm going to do business I have to look presentable right?" Regal bought some clothes for the trip with 2 fancy suits being the most expensive.
In the next 3 days, Regal got ready, but he didn't abandon his work, after all, it was paying for everything he was buying.
The flight from Algier to NYC JFK airport will take just under 10 hours, so Regal arrived at Houari Boumediene International Airport in his casual clothes. With the business ticket, the check-in was much easier, you don't have to wait in line.
The flight was smooth, just one hour to Madrid, and eight and half hours from Madrid to NYC.
When the plane finally landed at JFK airport Regal was supercharged, he slept well on the plane and was now full of energy.
The checkout in JFK was a bit annoying with the border patrol asking annoying questions like Regal was some terrorist. Regal knew if he was flying private none of this shit would happen.
'I should get back filthy rich quickly, I have to take it more seriously from now on.' Thought Regal.
After checking out Regal found someone waiting for him, it was the Hotel driver they took him to the 5-star Hotel.
By the way, he paid for this, he's not rich enough for companies to pay this much for him.
Regal took a shower, put on some casual clothes, and went for a stroll in New York, later that day he enjoyed a 5-star dinner and went to sleep.
