4 —[Chapter 4]—

The Game went on mostly without a hitch and for some reason the events leading to the first scenes of the series and introducing these guys went on mostly the same and now here I was mindlessly rolling dices and playing the early games of DnD.

And before I knew it in my dazed state my brother called for me.

" Luke!" He shouted bringing me out of my daze as I looked around at everyone as I watched them pack up with only me still sitting.

" Oh it's over? Time to go?" I asked standing up and stretching earning the chuckles of my friends.

" How you get dazed while doing things automatically still baffles me, great skill though." I heard Dustin say as we walked up the stairs leaving Dustin who grabbed the pizza box and followed us.

He walked off upstairs to my sister's room I presumed.

And I led the others Lucas and Will alongside my brother, Dustin joined us just after.

" There's something wrong with your sister." He said as we were outside with everyone getting on their bikes.

" Well….she has her moment's." I said defending my cute bigger sister.

*Scoff*" You only say that because she actually likes you." Mike said.

" If you tried actually being nice to her and 'sibling' like she'd like you too micky." I said earning a couple of chuckles from the others still not used to my odd nickname I gave Mike a month ago.

" Well she used to be nice." Lucas said.

" Yeah like the time she dressed as an elf for our DnD game." Dustin replied with a goofy toothless smile that made me chuckle.

" That would have to be the time when she didn't have boys in her mind, we'll reach that stage too one day." I commented watching as they got ready to ride off as I stood there with mike.

" Impossible, our party will always be the same, no girls will change that." I heard Mike say besides me and the 'Yeah', 'Right!' and agreements of the others making me roll my eyes.

" Well I'll be going now, still trying to make that broken computer work." I said making the others say their goodbyes in advance as I walked off to the basement.

I didn't really need to any computer, I had already made one and it stayed safe in my treehouse and even though it was ahead of time from the computers of these days I thought it could be better with a bit of parts I would need to make myself as nobody was making them yet.

" Lucian, call for your sister. Food is ready." My mother called out from the kitchen making me wince at my plans crumbling due to dinner.

Good thing my plans weren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

" Okay mom." I said with a sigh as I walked off into my sister's room and stood just outside the closed door.

" Hey sis." I called out not too loud but enough for her to hear.

" Yeah?" I heard behind the door.

" Mom said to come down, food is ready." I replied and opened the door popping my head in.

" Oh and have I told you that you look beautiful lately?" I asked with an innocent smile making Nancy fold as she gave me a smile.

[ + 2 Affection With Nancy. ]

' Hehehe…' I thought looking at the pop-up.

" Oh you charmer, get out of here I'm on the phone." Nancy said and focusing I did see that she was holding a telephone.

" Don't be late!." I shouted before walking out and focused on the screen infront of me.

This was a new feature I had unlocked just a couple moments after I had Awakened two months ago after talking to my brother.

It was the affection and reputation interface where I could keep track of my affection with others and where I stood emotinally with them.

' Reputation Status. ' I called out brining up all my current affection scores with the people I actually have a fuck about.

[—Reputation—]

—Michael[ Rep: 79/100. ]

—Nancy[ Rep:89/100 — Aff: 51/100 ]

—Lucas[ Rep: 89/100]

—Will[ Rep: 75/100 ]

—Dustin[ 93/100 ]

….

..

.

—[]—

There were many names after these but I really didn't care for them, rep everyone had and was probably the behind people liking you and then Affection which was for love interests and how much they felt for you. And having my sister have the affection statistic along the reputation one was weird for a bit before I decided to see where it went and now I was slowly grinding up those points to make dicking her down easier.

' God I'm 12 and here I am still thinking of fucking my sister…' I thought with a chuckle as I walked down to the basement.

On my side of the house there was a lot of items laying around, a EMP device I had made once to spite my dad so he would miss a football game, and a lot of other small tech that were either unfinished prototypes or just worthless as I kept most of my things up in my treehouse.

Going down I grabbed an item I had been making, it was something that I had put together to help with my alchemy.

I had found that 'insta-creation' of my potions made them lose 'potential' in what they could be in a way that they could not evolve past their base form unlike 'Manual' type potions where I had to put in the effort to actually create the potions.

Like for instance these two potions I had made, both of the same grade but oh so different, the first was created through instant creation and the second through manual.

[—Item: Health Potion.

—Grade: Rare.

—Description: A perfectly made potion of health able to heal and stitch back any physical wounds done to the drinker.

—Effects: +40% Instant Health ]

Rare was the highest grade I could make right now with the normal ingredients I could make but the manually created potion put this one a bit to shame

[—Item: Rejuvenation Potion.

—Grade: Rare.

—Description: A potion of rejuvenation able to heal grievous amount of wounds and even grow out a limb if the potion is entirely drank or poured into the affected area.

—Effects: +80% Instant Health, +2% Permanent Healing Factor.]

The second potion even gave out a permanent bonus but now I was confused as to whether health potions couldn't get over the rare grade or not because the potion was close to a full heal potion now and was still considered just a rare potion by the system.

Shrugging at that I looked at my machine I had built to help out with my alchemy.

I had built it from some items like juicers, blending machines and such.

[—Item: Alchmax 0.9

—Grade: Ultra-Rare.

—Description: An unfinished item created by the player Lucian which allows them to extract and turn all ingredients into 'essence' of any material into liquid for the use of alchemy allowing them to create a variety of concoctions.

—Effects:

•Can automatically create potions depending on ingredients supplied.

•Decreases potion making time by 80%.

•Can extract the most amount of 'Conceptual' ' Essennce' out of an ingredient for future alchemical use.]

This is what I was able to make and this was only possible due to my high level skills in engineering and crafting which has allowed me to make items that are borderline supernatural and my Potion Making skill gave me knowledge on some items for alchemy and how they work and I incorporated in into this machine.

And now back to my machine.

It was a bit bulky but with my inventory I didn't care nor mind as I could take it anywhere I wanted, but it wasn't complete yet as I needed to find a good enough energy source for it to tap into.

And while thinking of maybe just using the makeshift generator I had in the treehouse I scrapped that idea as that generator was already on its last legs already with all I had it powering up.

But my focus was cut by the screen that suddenly appeared before me.

[ Quest Complete ]

[—Quest: To the Flow—]

—Allow Will to be kidnapped by the Demo-Monster.

—Reward: 1 Epic Gacha Ticket, Random Skill.

—[Claim—Y/N?]—

" Ah shit…will got nabbed already. And so it begins." I said to myself as I pulled out a stamina potion from my inventory, had a bunch of those from using some energy drinks to make them.
