5 Lacrosse Game

I take the money and put it in my status. And then use [Observation] on the blue crystal and book:

[[Status Increase Crystal] A blue crystal filled with energy. When you absorb this crystal, you gain +2 to all stats unless stat is equal to or above 30.]

[[Skill Book: Electrokinesis] A book detailing how to manipulate and generate electricity with your mind.]

These are some OP drops. I immediately regret using my stat points earlier and decide to save them for when I'm in trouble.

I then absorb the crystal and when I pick up the book a window appeared:

[Learn skill? (Warning: Accepting will cause the skill to be absorbed and the book to be destroyed.)

[Accept (Y)] [Deny (N)]]

I hit Accept and the book began to glow as I felt new information appear in my head. Along with the new information, came an indescribable feeling of bliss.

I try to activate the skill and I can feel electricity rippling off of my body. It seems like I can't shoot it off of my body, likely because I just got it, but I wonder if I can use it with my mana wires. I wrap my mana wires around a zombie's head and send as much electricity through as I can. The zombies head explodes, and chunks of brain matter hit my manna shield. I stand there a little stunned. I'm so happy that I still have that up. I then continue my hunt and manage to kill another giant zombie who only dropped another status increase crystal, but hey, I'm not complaining.

Soon after I kill the second giant zombie, I am forcefully rejected from this place and I sit up quickly sit up in bed and turn off my alarm. I immediately open my status:

[Name: William Steel

HP: 300/300

MP: 246/246

Strength: 17

Dexterity: 14

Vitality: 16

Intelligence: 20

Wisdom: 28

Luck: 14

Point: 90

Cash: $1060]

At the rate I'm earning money, I could live on my own. That is if the money is real.

I get out of bed and get dressed for school. I head downstairs and eat breakfast with my mom and sister, dad is still at work. He gets off at 6. I could never be a doctor. I don't want to work 24+ hour shifts and still be on call.

I make it to school. Classes have been more and more boring lately. I think it has to do with my intelligence stat. The higher it raises, the faster I learn, and the faster I learn, the faster class becomes boring. I debate whether or not I should go to sleep and get some training in, but I decide against it. I don't want detention. It's a waste of time and my parents would kill me.

At lunch I tell my friends that my sister wants to meet them and that we'll be at the game tomorrow.

When I make it back home, I finish up any chores that I have then check my skills:

[[[Observation] LV 9] It shows the information of the target.]

[[[Mana Wire] LV 32] Wire made of mana. MP Cost: 20]

[[[Mana Shield] LV 24] Shield made of mana. MP Cost: 40+. Mana Upkeep: 5 per minute.]

[[[Mana Spear] LV 19] Spear made of mana. MP Cost: 30. Number of spears: 19]

[[[Mana Control] LV 9] Ability to control mana. Increases power of mana related skills by 9%.]

[[[Training Proficiency] LV 10] It increases the efficiency of all training by 10%.]

[[[Electrokinesis] LV 1] The ability to control and generate electricity with the mind.]

I've gotten really strong, but there are likely still many beings stronger than me. Since werewolves are real, it's not too far outside the realm of possibility for other mythological beings to be real. Even gods. I need to become strong enough to protect those near me. I don't like the idea that my life and all the lives of my friends and family are in someone else's hands.

I spend the rest of the day with my mom and my sister. We watched a movie marathon and had a lot of fun. We haven't spent time together like this since I've gotten the system, and it helped me further my resolve to get stronger in order to protect these moments.

Before I go to sleep, I start remaking my mana wire armor again, because they've gotten thinner and smaller again. Soon, they'll be thin enough that they won't be able to be seen with the naked eye. Then, I can use them as traps or to stealthily bind someone.

After making the armor, I go to sleep and begin my training. I grind out some more Status Increase Crystals, but some new things dropped. There were two new things I managed to get as well as 4 more crystals. It appears that the crystals are a common drop. The first one was 3 bottles filled with a red liquid and the second thing was a silver bracelet. I quickly use [Observation] on them:

[[Health Potion] Restores 200 HP when consumed.]

[[Transforming Silver Bo Staff] A 6' bo staff made of pure silver. When no mana is channeled into it, this staff becomes a silver bracelet that can be worn.]

I get really excited reading these. The health potion can heal an average person from being half-dead to full health and the bracelet transforms into a bo. They dropped some really cool stuff.

Do I have an inventory? As I think this a screen appears with a bunch of empty boxes on it. I put the bracelet and potions into the inventory, then I continue my massacre, that I probably enjoyed a bit too much.

Soon after, I woke up and start the new day. I have breakfast with everyone, including dad today, then head to school. I release an audible sigh as I enter class, because I know with my newly increased intelligence, class is going to be even more boring. I'm wearing my new bracelet, and I think the silver makes it look really cool. Now that I think about it, silver is one of the most conductive metals for electricity. I glance down at it. Its design is really simple. It's just a plain silver cuff bracelet for men. It really was a lucky drop. It goes perfectly with my electrokinesis.

School soon ends and I head home. I do my chores and then Jane and I head to the lacrosse game. When we get there, I message Allison:

Will: [You at the game yet?]

Allison: [Yeah. We just parked. Are you inside?]

Will: [Nope. We'll wait for you behind the bleachers]

Allison: [Got it. See you in a sec]

Then Jane and I wait for a bit before I notice Allison and her father coming over. I don't think they've seen me, so I wave at them. They seem to notice and begin making their way towards us.

Will: "Let's get some seats." I say as I walk towards an empty spot in the bleachers.

They follow and we sit down, so I begin the introductions.

Will: "Mr. Argent, Allison, this is my little sister Jane. She'll be a freshman next year."

Jane: "It's nice to meet you." She says with a huge smile.

Allison: "It's nice to meet you too. You're so pretty. Are you sure Will's your brother?"

Will: "Hey!" Nobody looks at him

Jane: "Sometimes I wonder too."

Will: "Wow. So, you're both just going to ignore me." I sigh. "Well at least you get along."

Mr. Argent: "It's nice to meet you Jane. I'm Allison's dad."

Jane: "Nice to meet you." She turns to Allison. "I wasn't expecting you to be so beautiful. After all, you know how my brother is." She sighs.

Will: "What do you mean by that!?"

Allison: "I know what you mean." She says as she looks at me.

Will: "I give up."

Mr. Argent looks at us and smiles. He probably thinks this is amusing, but I'm getting pretty annoyed. Allison points out Scott, Stiles, and Danny for Jane, while Mr. Argent pays attention too. I'm both happy and upset that they're getting along. I'm feeling conflicted.

The game soon starts, and I can immediately tell something's off. Scott was completely open, and no one passed the ball to him. Jackson even tackled him. Then Jackson scored the first point of the game.

At this point, Lydia, who I didn't even notice was behind us, asked Allison to help her hold a poster. Allison agreed and she held up a large poster that said 'We luv u Jackson'.

I turn to Jane and say:

Will: "The guy who just scored is a giant tool. If he ever tries to talk to you, feel free to ignore him."

Jane: "Got it." She says with a smile. Then I see Lydia giving me a death glare which makes me chuckle.

Scott sees this poster and I can feel his mana turn chaotic. I've never felt something like this before. He then looks over at a group of his teammates huddling and I feel it turn even more chaotic. It even starts turning a shade of yellow.

I see his level suddenly spike. It becomes 26. I think something is happening to him. If I'm right he's turning. I send my mana over to him and try to suppress Scott's. I've never done this, but I think his mana has something to do with him turning, so I try to stop whatever change is occurring. I'm not very successful, but I can feel it slightly weaken. His level doesn't go down though, so I think he's still transforming.

Then Lydia and Allison hold up another sign that reads 'Jackson is #1' and Scott's mana surges. It blew mine off easily and I swear I see his eyes turn yellow for a second.

The next play begins, and the ball goes flying into the air. Scott then jumps 5ft in the air and goes over a player of the opposing team. He then runs past all of the opposing team and scores. Everyone cheers, but me, Lydia, and Chris. I know he's transformed. The next play an opposing player stops, looks at Scott, then passes him the ball. He then runs past the opposing team again and shoots the ball towards the goal. The goalie raises his stick to try to catch it, but the ball breaks through the netting and makes it in anyway.

The next, and likely final play begins, tied at 5-5. Scott gets the ball Almost immediately and then slows down and starts looking at everyone around him. He stops and is surrounded by the opposing team. Then I hear Allison next to me start whispering.

Allison: "You can do it Scott."

When she does, I feel something change in his mana and he takes a shot as the other team starts running at him. He makes it. And wins the game.

I immediately use this new stability to suppress his mana. It's many times easier and I can feel I succeeded.

Everyone start running on the field, but I run towards Scott. I need to make sure that he's okay.
