10 Mission 2

After I've accept the mission and register myself, I walk to the east gate of White River City. Because White River City is one of the biggest City in the Clover Kingdom, it's have 4 gate. East, South, West, and North gate. The Academy is located close to the east gate. Just need a 5 minutes walk from the Academy front gate. For a west gate, it's close to the river harbor where many ship locate, and south and north gate is where many of merchant from another City come in to make a trade. Only east gate which not connected to other City or river. The east gate is only connected to the mountain range where many of powerful monster live and reside. It have a forest which called 'Star Forest' in outer region and if someone go into deeper region there is rumor that you can meet another area like Mountain, Valley, or even Wasteland. That's why not only student who go into the mountain range but a many of adventure did too, but of course most of the adventure go into the deeper area. Well it's called mountain range because you can see high mountain wherever you stand in high place. It's look closer but actually it's so far away that only a few people who ever see with their own eyes.

"Hmm.. alright then. I'm ready, let's do this" I said and try to motivate myself so that I won't make any mistake when I do the mission.

After a few moment I arrive in Star Forest. I keep my guard up and stay caution. Maybe because this is my first mission, I walk slowly and see around me. My mission is subjection monster. I need to hunt ten wolves, bring their core and take their hide. Even though I don't understand why there is a wolf who live inside the forest but seems like there is really wolf who live inside the forest in this world. The time limit is 1 day, so that means I must complete the mission today or next morning. This is 2 star mission actually.

"AI, can you tell me where can I find the wolves ?" (Rudeus)

"Ding.. no master. If master want to find a monster or others living being in the vicinity, master needs a sense ability" (AI)

"Sense ability ? What's that AI ?" (Rudeus)

"Sense ability is an ability the can sense the presence of other. Some of sense ability can even the sense of invisible being master." (AI)

"Hmm.. How can I get it then AI ?" (Rudeus)

"Master need to fulfill the requirement to get an ability. Different kind of ability have different kind of requirement master. Some of it hard to get and some of it is easier master" (AI)

"So are you not gonna told me what the requirement is AI ?" (Rudeus)

"No master. Master need to found its by own." (AI)

"So that's mean I must explore much more huh. Seems like I must risk myself if I want to get stronger. Sigh..." (Rudeus)

After a few moments of walking, then I found it. A wolf that alone eating its meal, Seems its hunts a giant rabbit. I never seen any wolf in past life, but I believe the wolf in front of me is bigger. Its height almost 4 feet and length 1,5 meters. It scared me really. After all I'm only stand at a bit more than 6 feet. Alright then, so what I'm gonna do now ? I have a knife in my pocket inventory, but I don't that if I can ambushed it. No, I should use my arts, after all Warrior use arts to fight against monster. Maybe because its still eating so its has lower guard. I keep closing in with silent. Now there is only 5 meters between us. And I make a quick decision, I run to it and when there is only 2 meters I jump and use my arts.

"Arts Battle Skill : Echo Fist... Bamm.." maybe because its confused to what happen and still savoring its prey, so my punch hit its body.

The wolf staggered a few moment and then its growl

"Ggrrr.."

I know that I must kill it before its recover so I punch again, but before my fist is connected its dodge to my left side.

I know I lose my chance already, so i keep my guard up. The wolf then walk in circle around me, as I keep stare at it, It begin to run. After a few second it runs around me, I can not keep with its speed any longer and then it pounce at me.

I raise my left arm high to block it but its bite my arm. My left arm is really hurt but I know I must counter right now. I can not let it recover again.

So with my right arm I hit its head with my arts

"Arts Battle Skill : Echo Fist"

It release my left arm and then shake its head. This time I know I must end it so even though my left arm is hurt, I pounce at it and then use my battle art a few time

"Bam... Bam.. Bam..." It can not escape my punch cause I hit his head hard before, so all my punch is connected.

Now its dying in the ground because I can hear the sound of its breath. I take my knife from pocket inventory and then stab it. Now it really die.

After the fight is over I know I can't relax yet, I must collect everything now before the others monster come. So with a knife, I skin it to collect the hide, take its left fang and search the core. I put everything in pocket inventory. In just a bit more than 5 minutes I get everything that I need and left scene.

When everything is over I find a hiding spot that I use to recover a while. I begin to try to calm down my mind. I look into my left arm and surprise to see that there is no wound at all, only a bite mark. That's means the wolf bite can not pierce my body at all.

"AI, show me my body battle arts" (Rudeus)

"Ding.. Body Battle Skill : Iron Clad Battle Skill [common grade] (level 7 : 19%)" (AI)

"Hmm.. that's means the wolf bite only make my body battle skill increase 4% huh. Seems like I don't need to be afraid of the wolf then, as long as I protect my head." I thought

"AI, can I take down many wolves at once if the wolves can not hurt me ?" (Rudeus)

"Yes, master. But It will take kinda long time for you to kill it them. You kill one wolf with 5 times arts battle skill. It cost twenty of your energy to perform your battle arts Echo Fist for one punch." (AI)

"So that's means that I use 100 energy huh if I want to kill one wolf. Seems like I must increase my battle skill first. Well let's just hunt a lone wolf then." (Rudeus)
