Overlord

Standing in the middle of the command room, Adam is looking at the mountain below. His Destroyer is suspended ten thousand feet in the air.

Four years ago, he promised little Niome that he will not stop until he completes her revenge.

When she returned that day, she asked for his permission to take her ship and hunt down all mutants. She was crying hysterically at first but when she eventually calmed she made up her mind to take this personal vendetta.

He explained that instead of letting her go at it alone, he will help her to accomplish her revenge. The other girls have promised to help her out as well.

It's been four years since that promise; they have killed over a million mutants by now.

Although they did not kill every Mazoku they encounter, Adam still hunts for their leaders. He often drops special teams of Sentinels on areas that they suspect the Mazoku leaders are hiding.

They capture anyone who resembles anything like a commander and interrogate them for more information.

Eventually they were led to this place. All the information they have gathered so far pointed to this place.

This mountain looks like any other place where mutants congregate.

This particular maintain does not even contain the largest mutant group. Compared to others this group can even be considered tiny.

Adam looked over the latest reports.

It seems that this group is already aware of his presence.

The life signed they Alice detected inside the mountain is slowly moving outside.

He wasn't disappointed when the group stood on a mountain platform and stared at the lone ship above them. Even at this height, it seems that they can clearly see him.

"Well, the cat is already out of the bag. No sense of hiding my presence anymore."

With a simple gesture, Adam was beamed to the ground right in front of the Mazoku leaders.

In the middle of the group is the biggest mutant he has ever seen. It can easily be fifteen feet tall. This guy looks like a body builder in steroid overdose with a body full of bulging muscles. The disfigurements on this guy are very minimal too. He's not really handsome but not really ugly like most of the mutants before. He also carries an air of authority with him. Adam immediately assumes that this guy is the leader.

Besides the guy in the middle, there are four more mutants behind him. All seems to be bigger than normal but not as big as their leader. One even looks like a female.

Unlike the mutants that they have encountered so far, this group of five seems to be intelligent. Adam can clearly see it in their eyes.

"We finally meet human. My name is Jarred."

The leader spoke in a gravelly voice.

"You have been hunting my people for the last four years. What have we done to you?"

Adam was surprised by the question and the way he said in a very calm manner.

"Your people have been attacking and killing humans even before I got to this world. Four years ago you attacked our area and killed someone you shouldn't have. Now here I am to take revenge."

He saw the big guy glanced at one of the mutant beside him. That mutant looked at Adam defiantly then glared at the big guy.

After a few seconds, the big guy seems to have arrived at a decision.

"Our people have spread all over this continent ever since we were transported here from another earth. I admit that he have a deep hatred towards humans. A few hundred years ago we were once humans too, that was until another group of humans invaded our world and turned us into this."

He said while waving a hand over his body. He paused for a bit as if remembering about something very sad.

"In the end we needed to set our earth to explode and we used their technology to breach dimensional barriers and escape to this world. At first we thought that we arrived to their home world. When we got here, the place is already in chaos. Zombies are all over the place and everyone is dead. In our anger we simply assumed that they caused destruction to themselves, I let my people vent their anger towards the remaining humans that we encounter."

Adam sees the remorse in his eyes.

"It was later that we realize that this world's technological level is way below that of the humans who invaded our world. We started gathering evidence that we have arrived to a similar but a totally different world."

He then looked Adam straight in the eye.

"Some of my people have already been consumed by their hatred."

"One of my best friend." He paused then gestured towards the same mutant earlier. "Garan's older brother, have vowed to wipe out all the remaining humans in this world. It's been years since Ferenze came here and talked to us."

Adam was using Alice's analytical software to detect any lies from Jarred's voice. Alice gave him a 98% truth probability. He decided to play along.

"Then can you tell me the location of this Firenze. I will kill him myself."

Adam said while looking at Jarred in a daring voice.

"No! I will not allow you to harm my brother. You've done enough damage to our people, how dare you show your face here. I'll kill you myself."

With that, Garan suddenly leaped towards Adam. His big hands are aimed towards Adam's throat.

In a spit second, Adams whole body is covered in some kind of armor. Like a coiled spring, he burst into action.

The group in front of him was surprised by the speed Adam reacted.

They were only able to glimpse Adam's transformation before he vanished from their sight. He suddenly appeared behind Garan's body and fired a point blank shot behind his head.

Even the big leader has a horrified look on his face when he saw Garan's lifeless body tumbled to the ground. Adam's right fist looks like a barrel of a bug gin and its tip is still smoking.

Adam slowly turned around to face the four mutants as if he don't care that his back is facing them.

All of a sudden, the sky besides Adam's flagship is filled with other Destroyers and their Frigate escorts.

It is an impressive show of force. A force that is unmatched in this earth.

Then hundreds of two meter wide, black metal ball rained down all around them. The balls impacted the ground violently creating deep craters where they struck.

Tall humanoid robots walked out of them covering the whole mountain.

"I don't like threats; I get edgy and kill things when someone threatens me."
