Alaric continued with his usual routine, practising the Cultivation arts, performing the breathing technique and gaining insight into the Cultivation Arts. He could now perform 12 of the moves from Heavenly Sword Art and the basics of The Sky Monarch's Walk.
He was confident that he could escape when confronted with a Golden Core Mid stage cultivator. He doesn't need to consume the Body Tampering Pill anymore and could continue to accumulate the ShopCoins again.
There were 3 days left until the academy started and he was waiting to gulp down the knowledge of the academy with nano's help.
Seven years was too much for him, he could become a Grandmaster level proficient in two years with nano's and Chaotic Mind's help.
Alaric continued to meet with Wei Li and the others as they were a tight nit group. He mostly looked forward to talk and make advances towards Wei Li, and being a girl in her teens Wei Li was falling for his advances, she was already in love with him. Alaric could easily read Wei Li's facial muscles, how they contract and relax with nano's help and continue his advances keeping that in mind.
His efforts were mostly blocked by Qi Huiling with a charming smile that would melt any boy's heart, but Alaric cleverly dodged Huiling as he knew she was not really in love with him and only a small interest and attraction due to her age.
Qi Huiling just rolled her eyes when ever she saw Alaric and Wei Li together as she thought he was just attracted to her cold outlook. She was experienced at these things and Alaric was the only male who ignored her teasing and advances hence she developed an interest in him.
The days passed like this and the day of academy's opening was near. It was the day of selections and students who were not registered would participate in the entrance test to get a seat in the academy. Registrations were only for students with high status and talent, normal crowd would have to give the entrance test to have their chance at studying at the Jie Academy.
The Entrance test would be held for six days, and on the first two days written tests would be conducted. Whoever passed the written tests, would have to participate in the martial arts tournament and the top 500 would have the chance to enter the academy. Alaric wanted to watch the tournament.
He was eager to see if there are any special physiques that he could recruit under him. After all special physiques were hard to find and there were no techniques to find if one have a special physique. This made it hard to find people with special physiques, as sometimes the person him/herself were not aware of their special physique.
It was early morning now and as usual Alaric was practising his Cultivation Arts and Breathing technique, Alaric broke through the Middle stage of Foundation Establishment Realm due to the Pill's effect. His body was now strong enough to practise the Heavenly Sword Art and flexible enough to practise the Sky Monarch's Walk. After gaining a major breakthrough on both the techniques, he would be invinsible in the same realm and could go toe to toe with a cultivator who has a Golden Core Mid Stage Realm.

Two days have passed and the written tests were completed, today was the start of the tournament and Alaric wanted to find talented subordinates for himself, Alaric reached the Academy with Shi Ya and said his greetings to Meihui, his headmaster. He was sitting in a separate room with Shi Ya standing behind him, the stage was clearly visible from where he was sitting.
The start of the tournament was not very interesting as students were just shouting their cultivation art and attacking in a straight forward manner, Alaric felt bored but continued paying attention. They were four more days left of the tournament and he was sure he could find at least one special physique with nano's help. From the books he read, he knew that special physiques have special energies in them which helps them to have a unique skill. For example the first Emperor of the Song Empire could manipulate gravity while having a strong cultivation base. Alaric concluded that it must be because a special energy or a part of the law was embedded onto them, resulting them to manipulate a small part of that law or energy.
Alaric was sure that with nano's scan function he could surely find out any abnormal energy in a person's body, so he continued to watch.
"It is boring" Alaric muttered
"Well, they are just in the Qi Gathering Realm young master, we cannot expect much" said Shi Ya adding her perspective as the tournament continued.
Alaric was looking for useful pawns for his future but all he saw was disappointment, well it was given considering they are just 14 - 16 years old.

Wan Hu was now 8 years old and was growing well, he looked handsome and charming but nothing compared to his brother, he was just returning from the family dinner and heard the maids whisper at the turn.
"*~Young Master Hu is already 8 years old but can only read the children's section books while Young Master Xiu already read the history section at his age.~*" said a maid who was cleaning the floor.
"*~Yes, it's the difference in talent, Young Master Xiu is a genius after all, his brother cannot compare to him~*" a maid who was dusting the curtains said.
"*~Shush you two! You will get punished if someone heard what you are talking about~*" a maid who was cleaning the vase quickly said before adding
"*~But it's true that Young Master Hu cannot compare to Young Master Xiu's looks as well~*" all the maids giggled after hearing her.
Hearing them Wan Hu was shocked, angry, depressed and slumped. Wan Hu just took the long route to his room, not having the courage to confront the maids who spoke ill of him. If Alaric was here now he would see Wan Hu generating a dense negative aura which was black in colour.
Wan Hu slept just like that, he felt inferior to his brother and just before he slept Wan Xiu's dazzling smile came into his mind and that smile turned into a disappointed face before leaving him in the dark all alone.
