3. Beginning of a good 'Friendship'?

Now that she appeared as a girl, Lance could start seeing her as more human. Alpim was quite small, only about thirty-five inches. She had long blonde hair, past her feet, a slender and conservative body. She had white tanned skin, matching Lance's, and bright blue eyes. But, there was one problem that Lance had with her, and that was...

'The Hell! Dude, you're naked!' Lance was startled. He tried to look away, but no matter where he looked, she was right in front of his view. Closing his eyes didn't help either. She was there, naked, and fully in his view.

It's not that he didn't find her attractive. On the contrary, he rather enjoyed the view. Just what he would pick for a girl he wanted to court. Small, Slender, with a nice pair of breasts that weren't small, but not overly large, with the right shade of pink for her nipples. Long legs. And Other than the hair on her head, no other hair anywhere.

"I assumed this is what the males of your species liked. So I choose this for your new interface to better suit your needs and desires. Does it not please you." Now that she had an actual face, Lance could see the hint of teasing and the big smirk on Alpim's face.

"No, I do like it, but come on, I can't go around the universe with a naked woman in my head." Lance was still shocked but was trying to keep his mind on track. A teenage boy with teenage hormones.

Alpim put her hand on her mouth bent forward a bit and giggled. "Okay master Lance, if you don't wish to see me like this, then." Just then, Alpim snapped her fingers, and a white, revealing dress appeared over her body.

The dress was long, hanging down to her ankles. It was a nice, bright white color, with some intricate lace around her sides and in a V shape between her breast, going down to her navel. She was showing a fair bit of skin, but not over the top. As far as he could tell, all she wore was the dress as he didn't notice any type of bra.

"Much better. Thank you" Lance said aloud while inwardly thinking, 'good thing I don't currently have a body.'

Alpim giggled again, then looks at Lance. "Your body is here, and I can see it, you just haven't finished the tutorial yet". Alpim kept giggling, hiding her mouth with her hand as her eyes wandered his body.

Lance turned a deep shade of red. He currently can't see his body, but he could now feel it and knew exactly what was going on. "c-can we please continue?" In a very squeaky and embarrassed tone, Lance spoke to hurry the tutorial along.

"Of course. Would you like to choose a name for me before we begin?" Alpim couldn't help herself. She is, after all, an artificial intelligent lifeform. She has a conscience, she feels, has thoughts, and can even grow. She is alive, much like Lance.

"Yeah, Vixen." Without a second thought, he instantly knew what to call her. Fact that she seemed okay being naked and enjoying teasing him, Lance had only one name to call her

"New name accepted. From now on, call me Vixen." after a short pause, Alpim... Um, Vixen, continued with the tutorial. "Okay, The user interface is pretty simple. Since you've played video games, it will be quick to explain. The main thing you need to know is how to access everything. Currently, The commands are locked. There are two ways to access the menu. First and foremost, thought or speech. Simply thinking of what you wanna access will open the menu. easy peasy right?"

Lance was listening intently to her explanation, though not completely. He figured he should give it a try. "Menu", nothing happened. "Open menu", nothing. "Oh, wait. Open status", still nothing.

Vixen was laughing to the point of almost falling over had she not been floating. Tears were falling from her eyes. "And here I thought you were paying attention. I told you, the commands are currently locked. Such a short memory you earthlings have." still laughing, she wiped away the tears.

"Haha, very funny. Can we move on, I would like to see the 'new world'", Lance was visibly angry. He had to deal with people hazing him at school back home, but he had hoped that this new world wouldn't have that.

"Okay, okay. Enough fun and games for now." Vixen stopped laughing and recollected herself. "Okay, the second way to access the menus is by asking me to do it for you. Think of it as automating the process." Vixen gave Lance a smirk, "Now, I'll unlock the menus, and you can try the different ways."

Lance thought to himself, 'such a pain in my...'

"Keep it up and I'll find other ways to mess with you". Vixen stopped Lance before he could finish his thoughts.

"Fine, here goes". Lance focused on the tutorial instructions. "Menu."

*Trling Trling*

With that, the menu opened in front of him. Words floated mid-air, just off to the side. Vixen had been floating to the left of his view, the words appeared on the right.

In order from top to bottom, the floating words read; Status, Inventory, Quests, and Map Data.

"Good job, master Lance. Now, these should all be pretty self-explanatory, so I won't spend too much time on them." Vixen looked over at the words as soon as they appeared. She then floated over to them and began pointing at each one.

"Now, I'm not gonna go in order, so let's get the easy stuff first. I'll automate from this point." She drifted down to map data, "This one is quick and easy." She opened it up and a window appeared. it was just black with one green dot in the center. "The dot is us, obviously. The map is black right now due to our current location. All you need to know, is you can either buy maps from people or just explore. This will fill over time".

She then went up to Quests, "Another easy and quick one." She opened it up and the current quest *Listen to the Tutorial* was the only one on the list. "All quests given will appear here with easy-to-remember details. Some will have a rank to them ranging from F to SS. We will get into ranking in a bit though. All Quests will have experience value and UAC value." She pointed to the two of the numbers at the bottom of the quest window. The number read out two hundred experience, and fifty UAC for completing the quest. "These will increase based on grading after completion, as well as other factors. Just keep in mind, these rewards, are only based on the quest. You can receive other benefits from the quest giver if you have enough respect for them."

"Okay, pretty straightforward stuff. In line with RPG games." Lance mused at the thought of being in a video game.

"Yup!" Vixen said excitedly. "Now, inventory and Status require more explaining. Do you think you can sit tight long enough and focus?" Vixen started to laugh.

'I swear, she keeps this up and I'll...' Lance paused his thoughts, he saw Vixen glaring at him. He swallowed dryly. "Okay, continue."
