Thomas's Dreadful Plan

Staying in the house on which doorstep Thomas and Sam were standing was the best option to stay. So, they knocked on the door.

The door instantly opened. The fifty years old decent-looking man was standing at the doorstep.

"How can I help you?" The man asked politely.

"Sir, we came here from another city in case of an urgent task. We don't know how but the work was completed too late. So we have no place to stay here". Sam confidently told a lie.

The man felt strange thinking about why they couldn't stay in the hotel as they were looking from a wealthy background. However, he couldn't refuse them because he respected his guests.

The man said that he was poor. That was why there was only one room in his house. So, they would have to sleep with the man's son.

When the man reached his son's room to introduce him to them, he found himself lost from there. He was worried about where he could go late at night.

It was 4:00 clock. The man called his relatives, his son's friends, but nobody knew about him. Sam and Thomas also helped him a lot by searching over roads and police stations.

The man requested Thomas and Sam to sleep as he didn't wanna disturb his guest's night.

In the morning, they left the man said goodbye with best regards.

Sam told Thomas that there was some time left in the rays falling. However, Thomas asked him to move towards that point before the rays fell. In that way, they would know how it happened.

The tracer took them to the barren and menacing forest. They were discussing the rays when they heard a groaning voice.

"Someone here, please save me. Save my life."

Thomas and Sam tried to find the specified direction of the voice. Just that moment, they saw red rays falling.

The whole ground was damaged and cracked. Inside the ground, something appeared like a soil mixture. The rays moved inside the soil mixture. The human hand was buried under the rock.

As rays moved inside, the soil began cleaning, and the human body appeared. After an hour, the body started melting due to hot rays.

After some time, the melted material was remixed into the shape of a baby except the hand that was still under a rock.

Thomas and Sam couldn't believe their eyes. They hadn't seen such a reaction as it was banned to perform dangerous experiments on humans. For that purpose, animals were used.

Thomas was about to die because he couldn't take the rays back. They had been inserted into someone's body. So, they went from the forest as it was so menacing for humans.

They went into their time machine and started a discussion. Sam advised that they should take the baby with them. In the future, they would have better ways to take ray's energy back.

Thomas reminded him that time travel was not allowed for humans less than two years. Moreover, the baby could even die in that risky traveling.

He clearly told Sam that they would not return without rays even if they had to stay there for a lifetime.

Sam couldn't determine why Thomas was so serious about the rays. He hadn't ever cared about Mr. John's any gadget like that before. So, he decided he would do something that Thomas would tell him that reason on his own and then said:

"Sir, you're wasting your precious time on these rays. Let's go back and try experimenting on other gadgets."

"Sam, I believe you, but…." Thomas suddenly paused.

"Sir, we're not only work partners but also friends. So you can share anything with me. Not only I'll keep that secret but also help you as much as I can."

Even though Thomas was so clever, his words convinced him. Thomas thought adding Sam to his plan would be extremely beneficial. So, he confidently told Sam everything.

He was working to take control of Mr. John's every gadget. He was getting access to all passwords and codes.

Not only that, he wanted to control Mr. John's brain. That was not too simple. Mr. John's brain would have to be seized.

That was why he was working on a mind reader to convert that into the mind controller. In that way, he just remained the remote control robot for Thomas.

Thomas hated Mr. John too much due to his higher status. He wanted to get that status, but he couldn't kill him. With Mr. John's death, the science lab could be highly affected. Many secrets about machines were stored in his brain that nobody knew.

He was very upset because one of the two gadgets from which rays fell was a mind-reader.

That was just the single step of Thomas' game. He didn't only wanna get John's status. However, by getting benefits from that position, he wanted to attack the whole world.

He wanted to see the whole world controlled by his remote. And the mind reader was powerful enough to do that if converted into the mind controller.

Thomas could only trust Sam. That's why he wanted to include him in his dreadful plan. He tried to give Sam greed for status and money.

He told Sam that he would be the Prime Minister of two continents after attacking the whole world. Sam's eyes glowed with happiness. He showed a little hesitation but somehow agreed.

Then, suddenly, he remembered he had left his wallet in the man's house. So, he went to take that, leaving Thomas in a time machine.

When Sam returned, Thomas couldn't believe how Sam came within a short time as the house was so far from that place. He was just to discuss with Sam that he received the call from the future. That was Mr. John.

"Where are you?" Mr. John seemed angry.

Thomas was astonished as Mr. John had never talked to him like that. He calmly said: "In the past with Sam."

"Are you planning to attack the world and control my mind? I have known all that. Let's come back and see what happens to you". Mr. John said that and cut the call.

Unintentionally, Thomas saw the last call that was done with Mr. John with that phone. The phone screen showed the notification:

"Last call: Between Sam and Mr. John for 45 minutes".

Thomas couldn't control himself. He slapped Sam's face so hard that the blood flowed inside his tongue.

"How dare you do all that with me? If you disagreed about the plan, you could tell me. I'll kill you. Your life is a burden for me anymore".
