The Game of Marbles

Evelyn’s world turned upside down merely a year ago. She just started working everything out again. She started a new job and adopted two orphaned girls. And for once, it seems like everything is falling into place. But one day a man shows up at her door claiming to be the girls’ relative. He is rich, handsome, and self-entitled. Evelyn wasn’t going to give up the very kids she poured her soul into. And definitely not to the supposed uncle who decided to appear a year after their parents died. In the end, they have to work out how to deal with each other to give the girls the best life they can. Mostly because of the court order forcing them to share custody against both of their wishes. Over time they both learn each other’s secrets and it becomes a very different story. Evelyn learns why Callum didn’t come for the girls earlier. And Callum learns why Evelyn wanted to adopt the girls after they became orphaned.
