Eddard Stark pov

He couldn't believe the war was over this soon and the city was taken so quickly

He was hastily woken up at dawn to take command and march in but Jon and Robb were already there, the gates were opened from the inside and the red keep was already bearing the Targaryen flag

What happened next was predictable the armies quickly and cleaning took control of the city when most of the people were still sleeping, nobody was expecting them to march in without any warning or alarm

He didn't even make it to the red keep this fast even when Tywin sacked the city during the rebellion,he should not even be surprised at this point after direwolves, giants and dragons but he still was, everyone was expecting a battle or a siege but Jon and Robb took the city with almost no losses and before everyone even realise what happened

When they reached the red keep it was already in control of Jon with lannister guards dead or taken prisoners, Jon had also captured the queen and joffrey last night and they were put in black cells until their trials

He didn't find tyrion or tommen in the red keep but even if they escape they can't do anything against Jon now

As if the surprise of taking the city in the morning was not enough, Jon or King Aegon called all the important lords and ladies to the dragonpit at noon

The whole city watched as his dragons completely burned the ruined remains of the dragonpit into nothing within minutes, he announced that the Targaryen dragons would no longer be chained and bound, they can freely fly to their content, and that anyone foolish enough to get near them would have to deal with dragons and their fire themselves

If by the morning people were still confused then by noon they knew that dragons once again rule the seven kingdoms with fire and blood

Jon/Aegon pov

To say it was weird to be in red keep was an understatement, I am not used to the smell of shit in the air and the red keep doesn't feel like home but I suppose that will change with time

But now I have to make changes to properly take control of the city and then the whole seven kingdoms, changes like when I arrested more than half of the city watch for taking bribes and stealing from the people and added my own personal men in the city watch

But this was a easy change but I have to make some big ones too, like I am not going to rule from a city that smells like rotting shit but some structural changes have to be made in the city to take care of the smell and that would take years to complete

But for now small changes are being made like vetting the servants and people working in the red keep, selecting people for the kingsgaurd and the royalgaurd for the red keep,and move my personal things here from Moat Cailin etc

But things are going smoothly and there are no obstacles yet, by burning the dragonpit I sent a message to the fools who think they can go against me that I can burn them to ashes wherever I want

I am also working on the trials for the Cersei and Joffrey, Jaime would confess that he is one who sired joffrey and not Robert and Cersei tried to kill uncle Ned to hide their secret, I also have the proof of my legitimate claim as son of Crown Prince Rhaegar, I don't need to prove it but it is better to set the record straight when you can

Even now some old fools are trying to go against me in oldtown, the so called High septon and the Most Devout are meeting today to care of the Northern savage or the bastard dragon who somehow became the king, that is me if you are not familiar

These so called men of gods were traveling to Starry sept in oldtown from when they learned about dragons in harrenhal, I have been keeping an eye on these hypocritical old men for years now, you see that the faith and the Targaryens have never really seen eye to eye on anything, and throughout the entire Targaryen rule the faith has been trying to undermine or sabotage us

Now they want to do that to me, they are already planning to slowly start spreading rumours that dragons are an abomination to the gods and how a northern savage and tree worshiper is not fit to be king through the septs, but what they don't realise is that when they will meet tonight a transparent but deadly gas would be released in the room and they would die under their gods in the cellar of the sept, and tomorrow people will find out that a glass cylinder holding deadly glass was accidentally broken and all these faithful men of the gods were sent to their gods in a sept

And then a few weeks later a new High Septon would be chosen, one that is more open-minded and and accepting of the Targaryen traditions and their rule over the seven kingdoms,one who won't use faith to increase their power or influence on the people or else he might also have a unfortunate accident

You see even with dragons fighting the faith head on is foolish, these so called men of the gods would use comman people to do their bidding and they would sit back and watch as innocents die by dragonfire and then also come and blame me for their deaths, so I won't go after faith but the men using them, why would I hack at snake's body when I can clearly see its head

While I can hide behind in the red keep pretend that their deaths has nothing to do with me but the High Septon can't hide they are so called avatar of the gods in the eyes of men, A dragon might burn anyone who go against him but a wolf knows when to hide in the bushes and when to jump and rip their throats out
