3 Chapter 3 Fire Magic and Awakened Dragon

For the past few moons Jon has been reading from the library in Valariya which he discovered was a real place which was in Valariya hidden under the doom

He learned that the dragons were not the only thing Valariya was based on , it just was a major part but it was also fire magic and various other magical things

The world believes that Valariyans tamed the dragons with their magic but thats not true it's the other way around

The flame of Valariya as the magician call it blessed the Valariyans with dragon blood so they could bond with the dragons and the magic comes from the dragon blood that flows in their veins

But even with that there has not been more than 40 magicians in Valariya at single time which belonged to the 40 Dragonlord families

In fact one of the reasons Targaryens left was because thier magician died of old age and they didn't have a young one to fill his post

These 40 magicians were the real power of Valariya but they were very rare and hard to train , they help the dragonlords bond with the dragons , help made sure the dragon grew up properly , they could also bend fire to their will

The library he goes in his dreams is under the conclave of mages and only magician were allowed there , even the books inside are laid with spells that make sure only people with Valariyan blood and strong magical aptitude could read them

The were also books about dragons and various other things the Valariyans invented ,even cure for grey scale and such

But there was something that caught his eye , the awakened dragon , they were the dragonlords and magicians who were completely immune to fire

While most Valariyans were resistant to heat they were not immune to fire especially dragonfire which he learned was different from normal fire, a dragon's fire is fuelled by thier magic and doesn't need anything to burn , stronger the magic the hotter and more deadly the fire

Even the fire mages who used fire magic were not immune to flames so if they got too close they to will burn in their own flames

But the awakened dragon was immune and had insane amount of magic , there had been only 3 awakened dragons in the entire history of Valariya, and every time they appeared they pushed Valariya and thier magic to new heights

The reasons Jon was so interested in the awakened was because he had started to show signs of awaking , when he would practice the fire magic sometimes his hair would turn silver gold and eyes would glow violet just for a second

This are the early signs of awakening , this would also greatly help him learning fire magic , because the hardest thing about fire magic was not burn inside out from you own magic , if the control is not perfect he would literally die burning form inside

Many young mage trainees have died like this , but if he became awakened he would not have to worry about that and quickly master fire magic

No one knows how exactly to awaken but every time a valariyan awakened they quickly became the highest power of Valariya

Even though he is long way from mastering fire magic he is learning fast because when he started learning fire magic it showed in his skills tab which made him learn at impossible rate

He is learning a lot form the library but he sometimes also gets visions of old Valariya , there were plenty of things the Valariyans were right about but there were things they were completely wrong about , those visions help jon from making the same mistakes Valariyans did

The magic practice also started to awaken the stark blood in his veins , one day he suddenly started dreaming being a cat,at first he didn't put to much attention but after few days warging appeared in his skills tab , he had heard about the tales how the old Starks were wargs and greenseers so he also started practicing warging but even with the skills tab he didn't make much progress in that skill , he would only sometimes dream and enter the mind of the cat

But he was sure he would make progress in due time , if he could share minds with multiple animals this would be very helpful in battle and politics alike

This was a great help for him but he also had a great burden resting on his shoulders he has to make sure the world is ready to face the long night, this was not just about revenge for his family but also survival

He had started reading books about the long night and the white walkers in winterfell and he even talk to old nan about that but most are just rumours and childrens tales he cannot be sure what is true and what is fiction

According to the visions he saw of his father ,his father was sure that the long night is near and it also helped him know what kind of man his father was

He has so much to do and he didn't know how much time he had left , and the his enemies keeps on growing , there were so many things that went wrong during the rebellion , so many innocents died due to greed of few men but he would make things right and make them pay with fire and blood
