Catelyn Stark pov

She watched as her husband and son once again going to war, but this time it was to make her nephew king

The boy who she thought was the bane of her existence, the boy who she thought was her husband's bastard, the boy who she thought was going to take everything from her children

While she was consumed by her own anger and shame, Jon always looked out for his family,she could never see the love the boy had for his cousins all she saw was a threat

She more than once wished the boy to die but thankfully that didn't happen, because if Jon would have not been here,her husband would have been dead, while her daughter be prisoner to the lions, her homeland ravaged by war,and Robb would have to face all of this alone

She will never be able to forgive herself on how she treated the boy who was now her king, she couldn't even love a motherless boy,she shunned the boy at every turn and found threats in everything he did

She thought he was corrupting her children and she was proud of Sansa that she stayed away from him, but she was the one who failed to teach her children, while Robb, Arya and Bran all grew up being honourable and just with jon, Sansa gave up on her own father to be a queen to a bastard prince

She failed as a mother,as a wife and as a aunt, she failed to instill basic sense in her daughter, even after years of marriage her husband couldn't trust her with Jon's real identity, and oh how she failed her nephew

But the gods have still gave her a chance, maybe she can still fix her mistakes

Kingslanding

Tyrion pov

Things is kingslanding are reaching a breaking point,with Stannis declaring Joffrey as a bastard born of incest, people already attack their king in the streets once if things don't get under control all their lives would be forfeited

When the food stopped coming in the discontent was already high but now this we will soon have a full blown revolt on our hands, and the boy and his stupid sister are only making things worse

His sister thinks just because she killed the king and put her son on the Throne that the seven kingdoms would just bow down to them and accept their rule

He tried making an alliance with dorne but with the shared history between their houses it didn't go well, all he could do was marry Myrcella to Trystane Martell so dorne would stay out of the war, a bad deal against a princess but he took what he could get, they are surrounded by enemies he would have pefer to win an ally but he will settle for one less enemy, and Myrcella would be safe there from all of this mess

It would seem that the wolves are getting impatient they marched on his father with full force, that's the best news he heard in a while, he needs their enemies to make mistakes, mistakes which we can use against them

One thing that is bugging him is Stannis, yes he declared himself a king and called his banners but he just suddenly turned quiet after that, the Baratheon brothers should be at each others throats by now but no news is coming from Dragonstone

He can't deal with surprises now, not when they are neck deep in their own shit, even Varys little birds have turned quiet regarding Stannis, he doesn't know how much he can trust the spider but he is the only one who is helping him keep the city from falling into chaos

He cannot ever be sure about Varys, is he a friend or a foe, who exactly does he serve

Eddard Stark pov

He didn't think he ever would have been proud of his boys for waging war but here he was proud beyond words of his sons

He heard the tales of his boys decimating the lannisters forces from the trident,how the young wolf outsmarted the lannisters at every turn, and how the white wolf became a killing god on the battlefield, the people of the north are always hard to please but lords and men alike love the white wolf and the young wolf

There are tales on how the young wolf and white wolf are blessed by the old gods, how they can turn into direwolves and how giants fight for them

He thought that giants were one the old Nan's tales but here he is marching with those giants, Maybe the old gods really do favour his boys

But even with all this they are facing an uphill battle, Even after 300 years the walls of harrenhal are still strong, No sane man would march his armies to harrenhal, the proper plan would be force Tywin out by attacking west but Jon and Robb are completely focused on Tywin

He can understand their point if we can get Tywin then the lannisters forces would completely fall apart but it's a very risky move, the morale of their men is in all time high after winning battle after battle, they think with the wolves they are unbeatable but just one defeat will change all that

But he is not going to doubt the boys now, even though he won two wars with Robert none of their victories even came close to the whispering woods and green fork

He will trust them, they have more than earned it, and while he has never been able to read Jon but Robb is his son, he watched him grow up, he knows his son and Robb is complete sure of victory, he doesn't know how but he didn't even know about giants but here they are, the boys have something up their sleeves he just doesn't know what

All he can be sure of is that winter is coming for the lannisters, winter is coming with fire and blood
