6 Tricking Old Men...

Chapter 6

Title: Tricking Old Men...

Andy... or as he is known now as Alex was truly thankful to the game... it showed him who he truthfully was... Alex did some cruel things to the NPC's early in the game. He even killed a child in front of her mother to see how they would react. After all they were only NPC. Truly a cruel thing, exposing the very basic nature of humans their curiosity, Alex simply wanted to know how the NPC would react, he had no hate against them, since in his eyes, it used to be just a game and the NPC were not real people to him. Of course that has changed now… but humans are adapting creatures.

But truly though in the real world Alex had no purpose... no excitement... sure he could join the army on some war to gain some exciting experiences that will get his blood pumping but he doesn't like the idea of dying just for some fun. He wanted something exciting, where he would also be safe, without risking his life… and the game was the answer to all of his problems.

In real life Alex had built a wall of good deeds to hide his real self... he was the nicest person in real life... but in the game he would express his malicious desires… his manipulative personality, his greed, his envy, his power lust and many, many more bad traits of his.

In the Game he was the Ice Emperor, the God of Ice, Cold, Snow and cold wind. He was the Mage who took the authority of Ice from God. The man who kept challenging The Monk. The player who schemed against thousand year old monsters. The man who controlled everything from NPC to even players themselves to do his bidding, the boogie man. He LOVED manipulating people in the game and playing it smart. Feeling that even one mistake might kill him… it is EXHILARATING.

In The Game he was himself. He started to study harder and he even started getting better grades even in real life. After getting rid of all the negativity and stress inside of him he became.... truly happy...

....

Alex gets rid of those needless meloncial thoughts and just looks at the homeless man in front of him. He could see the old man's shaking and his breathing patterns also showing that he is truly asleep. Of course though, Alex knows better than this.

So he gets close to the man and...

*Pow*

He kicks him in the stomach. The old man's eyes immediately widened as spit came out of his mouth.

"Wake up old man." Says Alex with a haughty voice. Trying to make himself seem as arrogant as possible.

The old man is shocked to see that it was a kid who kicked him, his hands started shivering heavily and words can't come out of his mouth.

"P -Please don't k -kill me young lord." Says the old man while shaking with a slight quiver in his voice, showing his fear.

Alex is still unconvinced by this, he just silently observes the old man and thinks. 'His acting is pretty good. Though he should shake a little more and he should act more groggy if he wants people to believe he just woke up. Overall I would give him 3/10 on acting'

His high intelligence, already made use of his memories of when he himself was acting or not, Alex also analysed when other people were acting in front of him, so he had an easier time to recognize the old man's acting.

As Alex looks at the old man. He gets a little closer to him, to make sure no one listens as he whispers just loud enough so only they can hear what is being said.

"These violent delights have violent endings." Says Alex with a calm voice.

The old man's body stops shaking, even though it was laying on the cold ground. He calmly gets up from his crawling and bagging position. He gets up and lightly dusts himself off, even though that didn't help his hygiene at all. He looks at Alex, and unlike his scared persona from before, he had a weird dangerous aura around him. The old man, who now seems giant around two meters tall, whom in comparison to a six year old Alex, he seems like a giant.

With one of his bony hands, the old man just fondles his long disheveled white beard. But contrary to making him look like a beggar, the disheveled beard and his pure dark eyes give of an invisible pressure as they seem full of madness. Suddenly the old man smirks a little and says. "So the Blood Cult has new blood. You are around six years old. You should be in the Blood Cave training with the other youngsters. So who are you kid… tell me."

When the old man says that, instead of his beggar persona from before, his voice holds a certain power to it. Because even though it seems like he just asked a question, Alex knows that by the hard tone the old man used… it is an order...

But contrary to the old man' expectations, Alex isn't intimidated by the old man at all, instead he too just looks at the old man with a cold face and he puts his hands in his pockets.

"Shut the hell up old man." Says Alex with a cold voice. Though it didn't sound as intimidating as it should, because of Alex's young age, small body and childish voice.

But as soon as Alex says that, the old man frowns and an overwhelming pressure descends into him, trying to crush his spirit. But Alex immediately analyses the technique, using his knowledge of countless KI techniques that he had seen from the game.

'This is intimidation KI. A technique from Wayne Kingdom's evil factions.' Thinks Alex as he tries to stay straight. Of course he is just a child… but he is also a Rank 2 Magician… and magicians are known to use tricks.

The Intimidation KI technique is used to suppress large numbers of enemies and if the user has an overwhelming mastery in it… he can even break a person's mind using this technique.

But Alex has an indifferent look on his face. He doesn't even budge from his place.

Then suddenly… the pressure stops and the old man's face morphs into a smile, and his missing teeth can be seen.

'So the next leader is truly strong.' Thinks the old man fondly. Having misunderstood that Alex must be the child groomed to be the next leader if he was released from the blood cave so young.

Even though he can't read minds, Alex can already guess what the old man is thinking. So he takes the hands from his pocket, and unknown to the warrior, a small red magic circle that was inside Alex's pocket disappeared.

The real reason why Alex didn't fall down wasn't because he has a strong willpower, after all he was just another normal guy, whose only real willpower training is him cramming for his college exams.

He knew that so… he had just used Blood Paralysis Spell on himself, making his body rigid, to stop himself from buckling under pressure. After all even though the old man was only Rank 2 which is the levels 6-10. He is still a KI cultivator and magicians aren't known for their strong will or unshakeable body… they are known for their intellect, tricks and monstrous experimentations.

The old man turns around… and goes to the end of the alley while Alex follows behind the old man. As the old man goes to touch the wall. He completely let his guards down for a split second as he thinks of the password to the cave. But this split second was all Alex needed.

He immediately reaches out for the knife hidden in his shirt, and he lunges towards the old man.

*Squish!*

He stabs the old man on the back, even though he knew he would be a little disturbed by doing this to a real person, when he went for the stab he knew that he might hesitate or panic, so he pushed his body and aimed for the spine, aiming for a critical hit.

As the blood starts coming out of the wound, it seems as if it is not affected by the gravity, it starts flying towards Alex and when it gets close to him it turns into red mist and gets absorbed into his body, through his nose and mouth.

"Blood Sacrifice "

This was the effect of blood sacrifice, immediately the old man's body loses its colour and becomes even thinner like all of his blood was sucked out of his body.

He immediately dies. Even though the old man is a Rank 2 Warrior, Alex is a Rank 2 mage also, so a sneak attack by him is fatal. Especially since he is a Blood Mage, the class which is known for its high critical damage.

'W -What.' Were the last thoughts of the old man, not truly understanding why Alex would do something like that. When he finally understood that Alex had tricked him from the beginning, he… he couldn't do anything as he was already dead. Due to him being a warrior, if he had the Game Interface, he could see that his stats are mostly concentrated on strength and agility, plus due to his old age his strength had already fallen too low, and his vitality was severely weakened. So he is easily killed by Alex.

Also since this is the Reach Kingdom, the Blood Cult didn't dare send someone stronger from their Cult this far away, or the scrupulous merchants would definitely scheme to kill the person… or in a worse case they will even bribe the person to come to their side. After all, in the extremely wealthy Merchants Guild's eyes, everyone can be bought… it simply depends on the price. So the Cult sent the old man, who the leader was sure that he is absolutely loyal to the Blood Colt, his job was mostly as an informant for the Cult about the situation here in The Reach Kingdom and Gungai City.

But Alex knew all of the secret codes and even acted like a young master of the Wayne Kingdom… the old man didn't even see what hit him.

Alex just looks at the first person that he has killed in this world, his eyes didn't have any panic, nor did they have any joy in them… they were simply cold.

If he had fought the old man head on, he had high chances of winning…

'But why take the chance.' Thinks Alex, his brain already thinking of the possibilities on how to get rid of the body.

AUTHOR NOTE:

Yep... Alex really doesn't respect the elderly. Also the whole arrogance thing was only an act. In the Wayne Kingdom it is common for people in high power to act like this. This is why the Wayne Kingdom has problems.... which will be introduced leter in the story. Also the Wane Kingdom, is a place like in those Xianxia stories where the MC is arrogant and such thing.🤣🤣🤣

P.S: Other places aren't like the Wayne Kingdom. But each one  of the countries has their own 'culture'.

P.P.S: Alex doesn't have the Hero Syndrome like some other MC... he will use tricks, underhanded means, or just straight out cruel and evil methods if it benefits him... hope this doesn't bother you or make you dislike the story.
