35 Chapter 35

[A/N: I have been working for the past couple of days so we have a larger chapter and a normal chapter that will come out tomorrow]

Hours passed as Coulson continued to travel through the Mansion, solving puzzles and killing zombies, and on the way he has slowly been getting better and better at the game and has died 2 times during his play session so far, earning himself two more achievements since he earned 'First Kill'.

These achievements were 'First Death' and 'Novice Puzzle Solver'.

The reward for the first death achievement was Minor Pain Resistance while Novice Puzzle Solver was a Minor Intuition, which would give subtle hints to the person that something is wrong.

All of the achievement rewards were useful in some way.

Heck, I even added an achievement reward that many I think would enjoy, mostly the Sentient NPCs in the Sanctuary Server.

Of course, this achievement was the hardest possible which required the players to play on the hardest difficulty and beat the game while finishing all additional objectives.

As I used my workshop's spectate ability to watch him play, I couldn't help but laugh sometimes as I watched the Agent get jump scared multiple times and even die to the slow and weak zombies twice.

Which was sort of understandable since they lunged at him from his blindspots or revived when he wasn't looking.

Besides that, Coulson slowly got used to the horror-filled mansion, and due to his skills as an agent, so long as he could see the Zombies he could kill them easily whether it be via his marksmanship with a pistol or his melee mastery with the bowie knife.

I leaned back into my chair and continued to watch with amusement as one of my most favorite characters in the Marvel Universe played Resident Evil.

...

After playing the game for 8 hours, Agent Coulson found himself standing before two metal doors with water up to his knees.

Coulson was still equipped with his knife and gun but now had a shotgun on his back for easy access whenever he needed to use it!

With his pistol and knife in hand, Coulson slowly pushed open the door and once he was inside the room, had his gun raised and ready to fire.

Once he scanned the room he froze as he felt his body fall under the control of the character once again as he laid his eyes on the person on the other side a catwalk under the water who was holding onto the wall behind him for dear life.

Feeling one of the very useful and somewhat supernatural abilities that he was given for obtaining the achievement 'Novice Puzzle Solver' which was a 'skill' that was labeled as Minor Intuition, which so far has been a godsend in this horrible mansion.

And as Coulson was forced to watch as his body moved over towards the team member known as Richard, his intuition flared up as it warned him that he was in great danger and needed to move!

But just as Coulson's body reached out for his teammate Richard, Richard looked to Coulson's left before shouting "No! Getaway!" before pushing Coulson out of the way.

Coulson watched with horror as Richard was then eaten alive by a shark...

As Coulson stepped back and watched as the shark dragged Richard's body into the water he couldn't help but back away.

Suddenly a system screen flashed before his eyes!

[It has been determined that your Mental State has reached the limit and the system sees fit to log you out manually for a minimum of 24 hours! Feel free to come back once your mental state has recovered!]

Suddenly trusted back into the real world, Coulson found himself in an agitated and disorientated state as he felt someone grab his arm and reacting instinctively, Coulson grabbed the person's arm and jumped out from the seat he found himself in and locked his arm around the person's neck.

"Wait!"

"Stop!"

"Calm down, Agent Coulson!"

Finally hearing the voices of the scientists that surrounded him, Coulson calmed himself down as he remembered where he was...

"Are you all right, Agent Coulson?" Asked a voice Coulson was familiar with, the Director.

"U-Uh, Yes, Sir...what happened?" Agent Coulson asked the director.

"While we were monitoring you for the past couple of hours, we noticed that your heart rate began to rapidly increase...what exactly happened in there, Coulson?" Nick asked.

"I...I think I should start at the beginning..." Agent Coulson replied with a now calm and steady expression.

...

Meanwhile, in another place in the world on a mountain in an old compound, a very powerful man who was distraught and depressed was informed of the discovery of the 'Nexus'...

And in yet another place, a certain place of Mystic Arts, the Ancient One was informed of the existence of the Nexus as well...

...

Meanwhile back in Sanctuary or now the newly named 'Garden of Eden' to prevent confusion with my home and the sanctuary server in Nexus.

After I found that Agent Coulson was logged off manually by the game's system, I logged out from Spectate and leaned back into my chair.

That particular feature that logs the player out manually is meant to safeguard the player's mental health state, due to the psychological trauma the game could cause, this system was set in place so that it would activate allow the player to rest once their mental state deteriorates past a certain point.

After all, if the players were allowed to continue playing once their mental state has passed the threshold then they could start developing something like PTSD...

Putting that thought behind me, I pulled up the statistics of all of my games.

Looking at the success I have had with my games as of late, I couldn't help but smile as I found that I currently had over a hundred million points!

You see, since I have in total 3,012,930 Players and each player would give 5(previously 15) points every hour of playtime, I would earn 45,193,950 points if every player were to play for an hour every day...

Right now I was sitting on 167,980,650 Points!

I was sitting on such a huge amount of points that I could possibly create any kind of game I wished, and that is why I planned on creating a new game soon within a couple of days or next week, but for now, I wanted Resident Evil to gain popularity first.

Sadly, the NPCs do not give me points for them playing and they do not count towards the player count, but they are within the thousands for the sentient NPCs.

My only question was, what game should I create next?
