1 The World of Ekiron: Chapter 1
An average young man called "Aether" was walking crossing the streets to get to the grocery store, as he looked to his right he saw a truck 2 meters away from him before he could even react, he was already a goner.
Aether wakes up and looks around only to find himself on a beach, he isn't sure how he got here but he knows he isn't home: "Where am I..is this a joke or something? I couldn't have ended up as one of those novel protagonists could I?"
As Aether was just about to get into his deep thinking about what was going on he suddenly hears a technological monotone voice like one of a robot or an AI. "The Gacha system has been activated, would you like to bind yourself to it?"
"Huh? Gacha System?" Aether asks not expecting a reply but getting his expectations betrayed as he hears that monotone voice again "The Gacha System has been activated, would you like to bind yourself to it?"
"Um..Is this my cheat or something I guess I'll bind myself to it...according to those novels this has to be something that's going to make me super overpowered!" Aether clearly imagining himself on a mountain of gold and 2 beautiful woman on each of his sides, he snaps back to reality after hearing the voice again "The Gacha System has been bound, System recommends host to use his first free roll as soon as possible."
"I want to use the rolls but...For now system can you explain what's happening here?" Aether asks as he isn't very sure what he's rolling for.
"Accept. The Gacha System records the data of every creature and weapon the host sees and puts them in certain banner for the host to roll for. The first bronze banner include common 1-2 Star weapons and creatures. The Silver Banner include 3-4 Star Weapons and creatures and the Golden Banner include 5-6 Star Weapons and creatures. The System recommends the host to use his free roll on the Golden banner as it is the highest ranked banner the host has access to.
"The System recommends host to go exploring and meet as many creatures as possible."
Aether thinks for a second for answering "What's classified as a creature?" The System replies "Every living or non-living thing with mythical or magical powers is considered a creature."
"Oh, That probably includes humans then...awesome!"
"Right, I almost forgot but the protagonist of almost every system usually has one I hope I do too..."
"Status!"
