3 Chapter 3: First Day

[Airish Laxamana]

"Miss, please wake up." Light touches my eyes as i began to open it. The Hell... My eyes...

Tinakpan ko ang mata ko at napahilot sa sentido ng ulo ko. Darn it... I feel dizzy..

"Your breakfast is ready, an Earl Grey Tea with 2 sweet freshly baked Black Forest doughnuts and a 10 pieces of grapes." She gets the trolley and set a mini table on the upper bedsheet. She sets those breakfast in the mini table as she sets an Auburn Towel on my thighs. I smiled at her.

Inamoy ko ang tsaa tsaka ito hinigop. Napangiti ako. This tea always make me happy. Because it always reminds me of her...

Tatlong beses na pagkatok sa pintuan ang nakaagaw ng atensyon ko. "Come in," sabay higop ng Earl Grey na iniinom ko. Pagkapasok niya ay inilahad niya sakin ang isang envelope. "Your schedule for today Madame for your Business Management." Binuksan ko ito.

"Room 101 10:30-11:30 is your Marketing Management."

"Room 201 11:30-12:30 is your Finance Subject."

"Room 301 12:30-1:30 is your Operational Management."

"Room 401 1:30-2:30 is your Human Resource Management."

"2:30-3:30 is your Break."

"Room 501 3:30-4:30 is your Business Law and Policy."

"Room 601 4:30-5:30 is your Cost and Management Accounting."

"Room 701 5:30-6:30 is your Computer Practice."

"And Room 801 6:30-7:30 is your Entrepreneurship."

"Is that all?"

"No Madame. The son of Mr. Del Mundo wants to have a meeting with you after class will you agree?" See? It's just a matter of time until we meet again. Looks like we have the same business in here.

"What's his purpose?" To make sure that this isn't a waste of my time.

"He wants to talk with you about business." I nod. "He only have 15 minutes. At the conference room at exactly 7:45 Tell him to wait for me." She bowed as she get out.

Tinapos ko ang agahan at napatingin kay Miss Nadia. "Where's my mom?" I asked out of nowhere.

"She left 45 minutes ago. She have flight going to Chicago for some business." Bakit hindi niya sinabi sakin kahapon?

I sigh. "If that so, when will she come back?" Napatayo ako. "2 days Madame." I look at her and smile.

"Airish would do." I take off my clothes at sinuot sakin ni Nadia ang palda ko. Ako naman ang nagsuot ng uniform ko.

I wear a Red polo blouse, a simple white palda, a white small socks, and a white boots to start my new day of HELL school.

At syempre, hindi ko kayang makalimutan ang locket ko. It was a gift from Althea anyway.

Nagpulbos lang ako at nagliptint tsaka nagsuot ng black thin gloves for some reasons...

Pagkatapos ng pag-aayos ay bumaba na kami ni Nadia. "Good Morning Madame."

"Good Morning Ma'am."

"Good Morning Ms. Laxamana."

"Good Morning Ms. Airish."

Maids greeted as I passed by so I just smiled for greeting. Nang makalabas na ako ay pumasok na ako sa loob ng Bugatti Veyron.

"What time is it?" Tanong ko kay Nadia. "10:20 Miss Airish." I look at the tinted window as I see some students walking while talking to each other.

I just smiled. It was like the old times when me and Althea are still in a relationship.

The car stops as it reaches the Laxamana campus. It was my mother's idea. I don't really want to own a school like this...

I just want to live with a normal life. But I guess, I'm still living up within their expectations.

Nadia open the Burgatti as I stepped out. Nang makalabas ako ay napatingin sakin lahat ng estudyante.

"We will picked you up at exactly 7:30 pm ma'am." Ngumiti ako tsaka lumakad papaalis.

Every step I make there's this crowd who always follows me. Is it because I'm a Laxamana?

Napabuntong hininga ako. Wala kang maririnig kung hindi papuri tungkol sa 'kin. Subukan ko kayang babuyin ang itsura ko? Will they still accept me for who I am?

Hinanap ko ang room 101. Good thing nasa 1st floor lang at pinakaunang room pa. Nang makapasok ako ay napatingin ang lahat sakin.

I just sigh. Honestly? I'm not used to be the center of attraction.

Marahan kong ibinaba ang hawak kong case at inilagay sa likod kung saan may locker. Kinuha ko lang ang isang notebook at isang ballpen para sa klase.

Napatingin ako sa relo ko. "10:31 AM." If mother was here, that professor will lose her/his job at the first day of school. Because for mother, Time is the essence of success.

Ilang segundo pa, nagmamadaling tumapak sa klase ang hinihingal na guro at napalunok. "I'm sorry, I'm late." Napatingin siya sakin at halata mo ang kaputlaan ng mukha kaya nginitian ko siya.

She closes her eyes as if she's ready to be fired. Pero hindi ako umimik. After all, she's a girl.

Tumikhim ang teacher bago nagsalita. "Uhm—ahh—I'm Cathalina Urmok your professor at this subject which is Marketing Manage—" Napapikit ako ng biglaang bumukas ang pinto.

Napadilat ako at napangisi. Hindi ko alam na magkaklase pala kami ng lalaking 'to.

Looks like Fate is playing with us.

His eyes widened as he points his finger on me. "You!" He happily shout.

"Who is he?"

"He's a fuckboy. Kaijin Del Mundo."

Napangisi ako. A fvckboy huh?

He carelessly sits besides me which makes the students go wild. First day of school? Or First day of ISSUE?

"Ok class, that's enough. I would like to continue. I'm Cathalina Urmok. Your Marketing Management professor. I would like to clear some of my grading system. Your grade is Zero Based, meaning that your grades will be based on your performance which is 80% of your grades." Sambit ni Ma'am Cathalina.

"Now that everything's clear, you may now introduced yourselves." The introduction starts at the back. Time passed by as the last and middle lane was finished and now, our lane is the next one who'll introduced ourselves.

Napatingin ako sa mga estudyanteng nagpapakilala. I already memorized their names as I listened very carefully.

Tumayo na si Kaijin. "I'm Kaijin Del Mundo. Pleasure to meet you." Mukhang hindi maganda ang timpla ni Kaijin dahil sa mga nagbubulungan. So, he's affected until now is he?

Tumayo naman ako. Maybe a short intro will do. "I'm Airish." Without telling them my surname. Alam ko namang alam na nang nakararami ang apelyido ko kaya hindi ko na kailangang banggitin ito ng taas noo. It was like telling that I own this effin world if I say it.

"Airish what?" I just smiled. "It's for you to find out."

"Why won't you tell it?" I looked at him with a smirking yet happy face.

"It's more interesting right?" Isa pa, he doesn't need to know anything about me. I can't trust him for now.

Time passes by and I didn't even bother to take a break. I was busy typing on my phone. Waiting for someone to respond on my effin text.

Sa asar ko ay tinawagan ko na si Venice, my Bestfriend.

And luckily after several phone calls she finally answers.

"30 minutes late Venice." Sambit ko. "Where are you?" She asked.

"Room 401. Hurry up, I'm effin hungry." Sabay patay ko sa kanya ng tawag.

"Aren't you taking a break." I looked at him and smiled. "I'm waiting for someone."

"Boyfriend?" Sa isip-isip ko ay nasusuka ako sa sinasabi niya. A boyfriend? That's funny. No one or person can replace Althea. She's my perfect match after all.

"A Bestfriend." Sagot ko sa kanya. "Is it a boy?" Napakamatanong niya para sa isang lalaki.

"A girl." A moment later, the door opened up. "AIRISH!!!!!!!!" Napahawak ako sa sentido ng ulo ko. Kailangan bang sumigaw?

She sprint into my place as she held my hand. "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO FLIRT ON MY BESTFRIEND!" Napailing ako.

"He's just an acquaintance of mine." Venice grab my hand as she placed me on her back. "Diba ikaw yung fvckboy na si Kaijin?" Students look in our place.

"Don't you dare to flirt with AIRISH NAIINTINDIHAN MO?!" She's making a scandal... It'll ruined her image...

"Tsk," mukhang nabanas ang lalaking si Kaijin kaya tumayo siya at lumabas.

"Ayos kalang? Is he flirting with you? Did he make ou—" pinitik ko ang noo niya. "Para saan 'yon? •^•" she childishly asked.

"I'm hungry, and your 32 minutes late." She just pout like a freaking duck.

"Sorry na!" I smiled as I pats her head. Pumunta kami sa cafeteria at umorder ng pagkain.

"Diet ka?" Natawa ako ng bahagya. "Junk foods are bad for your health Venice." Napatingin kami nang marahas na bumukas ang pinto. It's Kaijin with his dark Aura. And I can tell that he can effin kill a person who dared to step in his way.

"Such a jerk." Sabay irap ni Venice. "You'll regret that you say that." Sambit ko naman.

"Let's see," pagkatapos naming kumain ay nakita kong kumakain ng mag-isa si Kaijin. So he's a loner huh?

Hinatid ako ni Venice sa room 501. "Airish, sabay tayo uwi." Sabay hawak niya sa kamay ko.

"I have a meeting."

"Mas mahalaga ba 'yan kaysa sa Bestfriend mo?"

"It depends my future." Hindi na siya nakapagsalita. Binitawan niya ang kamay ko at umalis na. I can tell na nagtatampo siya.

"I'll treat you anything that you touch tomorrow." She turned back. She formed a smile using her lips and nods.

Papasok na sana ako ng unahan ako ni Kaijin. I guess we're in the same class... Again...

He smirks as he looks at me. What the effin thing is this guy thinking?

Umupo ako sa pinakadulo. Napangisi ako. It looks like he doesn't expect me to sit in this way.

"Hi, Airish right?" Another effin boy...

"Yeah." Sabay talumbaba ko. "You're Clark, right?." Tumango siya.

"So you know me! That's good." I already know him. But I'm not in the mood to talk to boys.

They're not my type.

Classes starts as the professor enters. Same grading and same introductions. That's how this first day end.

I get my phone as I enter Nadia's number. "We're here." Sambit niya kaya pinatay ko na ang cellphone ko.

Pagkababa ko ay lumabas na ako tsaka sumakay sa Burgatti. "How was your first day?" Napatingin ako sa bintana.

"What's new?"

7:40 nang makarating kami ng Laxamana Company. Pagkapasok namin ng Conference room ay saktong 7:45 na pero wala pa siya.

I'm starting to be annoyed. Didn't he know that time is special when it comes to meeting?

I'll give him 5 minute allowance.

At hindi nga ako nagkamali. He almost arrive. And he's 5 minutes effin late.

"Don't waste my Time Mr. Del Mundo." Nanlaki ang mata niya. "You're——"

"I'm the second daughter of Lexie Laxamana. I'm Airish Laxamana." Napaupo siya.

"Fuck off this is perfect!" I let him shout as much as he wants.

"You only have 10 minutes. Inaksaya mo ang 5 minutes ko Kaijin you better hurry." Tumikhim siya.

"Your timer starts now." At inorasan ko na nga ang pagsasalita niya.

"Can you be my wife?" I knew that he would say that but I don't expect it to be this straightforward. He really is into something.

"What's my benefit?" Interesado kong tanong tsaka tumalumbaba.

"You can take half of my dad's—" I cut him off. I don't want such things. I'm full. Can't he see that?

"I don't want it."

"Then what do you want?"

"I want you to be my slave." Napaamang ang bibig niya. "What?!" Hindi niya makapaniwalang sambit. I stand up as I get his chin.

"Work for me, Kaijin." I smiled devilishly as I pinch his chin.

"And never ever dare to betray me."
