10 Chapter 10: Nomination

"Airish, wake up, we'll be late for school." I slightly opened my eyes as I get the pillow and hugs it. "5 minutes Captain." I feel so sleepy...

"Are you kidding me?! IT'S FUCKING 10 AT THE MORNING AIRISH! GET UP." I opened my eyes as I look at him with an angry face. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SCREAMING ABOUT?! I DON'T CARE IF I'M FUCKING LATE KAIJIN!" Sabay taklob ko ng unan. And first of all, I CAN'T FUCKING FOCUS ON CLASS WHEN I'M FUCKING SLEEPY.

Sleep is important AND FUCKING HEALTH IS IMPORTANT!

Tsaka kailan pa siya natakot malate? As far as I know, he's the type of guy who usually cut classes.

"Good job, you really checked it." I said with a calm and well mannered voice. "Your phone is ringing a hundred times by the way." I looked at my phone as I started to sigh.

All of the calls and texts were all from Venice. Why can't I hear it? Napatingin ako sa orasan ng cellphone ko at napabuntong hininga. 10:12 I only have 18 minutes left.

"Do you eat already?" He looks at me with his eyes wide open. "Why're you looking at me like that?" I asked in confusion. He put his hands in my forehead as he speaks. "Are you sick?" I rolled my eyes as I tap his hands.

"I'm gonna get changed." He sits as he puts his socks on. Saglit lang ako sa bathroom at nakapagbihis na.

I put on my socks and high cut rubber shoes and started to arranged my suit. I simply wear a white polo top with a black thin kamison and a black slacks.

Kaijin looks at me so I raised my left eyebrow on him. "What're you looking at?"

"May curler ka?" Kumunot ang noo ko. "Sa buhok."

"I have one, in the cabinet." He smiles. "Good, then sit in front of me." He gets a comb, a hair curler, a hair moisturizer, and a hair spray.

I don't like his plan...

I stand up as I try to get out of the room. "Where do you think you're going?" Napalunok ako.

"I'm not ready to be burned..." In this time, all I want to do is to escape in this room, RIGHT NOW.

What is he trying to do? He's an effin boy what if my hair will burn? Can he replace it? Can he change it?

"Silly," Hinigit niya ang braso ko at pinaupo sa kama. I'm FUCKING SCARED!

"Stay Still." I didn't dare to move. It's like I'm stuck in this bed. Ilang minuto ding tumagal ang pagkalikot niya sa buhok ko bago siya matapos.

"Done." Agad akong pumunta sa salamin at napamangha. He... He's good...

"You're good." He smiles. "You're worth it anyway." Am I mishearing things again?

Pagkatapos ng ginawa namin ay umalis na kami sa mansyon. We ride his motorcycle because we're getting late. He stops the motor and parked it on a vacant parking lot area. She starts bubbling about everything nonsense so I secretly put an earphones to my ears.

Class starts as the prof entered the room. In the middle of her class, some students barge in. "ANNOUNCEMENT. ALL OF THE CLASS ARE EXCUSED FOR THE NOMINATIONS OF SUPREME STUDENT OFFICERS. ALL OF THE STUDENT INCLUDING THIS PERSONS SHOULD ENTER THE MAIN HALL AREA: WE HAVE DANIELLA ENTRADA, SIMON AQUINO, MISSY TANYEGO, GILBERT ASUNCION, BRENT KAYDEN, KAIJIN DEL MUNDO, AND AIRISH LAXAMANA." Pey gets my hands as we stands up. Inalis ko ang kamay niya sa kamay ko dahil hindi ako sanay na may humahawak sa kamay ko bukod kay Kaijin. "Holding hands Lang naman eh!" She said while pouting. "Are we close?" I ask while I walks away. I looked at her and it seems that she got another victim. They're holding hands while they leave. But before they leave, she shows her tongue and childishly make face.

"You're nominated." I said while raising my left eyebrow.

"Surprise!" Tawa niya kaya napairap ako. As we walks to our path, he forgot his wallet so he get back to find it.

Ilang minuto din akong nakatayo sa hallway nang may dumating na grupo ng lalaki.

"What a coincidence." He said while smiling. As far as I know he's—

"Hey, I'm Brent Kayden, nice to meet you." I look at his hands. Should I accept it?

Before he could shake my hands, Kaijin suddenly taps Brent's hand.

"Sinong may sabing pwede mo siyang hawakan?" Maangas na tanong ni Kaijin.

Brent just nods awkwardly. "Uhm—"

"Fuck off Brent." Kumunot ang noo ko. He seems irritated. Well, I guess It's time to tease him. "That's rude." Sabay nguso ko while expressing a fake personality. "Gusto niya lang naman makipag—"

"Gusto ka lang niya maging kaibigan dahil maganda ka, don't let it get to you." Matalim na tumingin si Kaijin kay Brent.

"Dude, I'm not the same as you." A sudden movement surprises me when Kaijin suddenly grabs Brent's polo.

"Repeat." Ngumisi si Brent. "Lust lang naman ang habol mo kay Airish diba Kaijin?" Well, that's rude.. And disrespectful... At the same time...

"I RESPECT HER." My heart beats fast as I heard that words.

Binitawan ni Kaijin ang kwelyo ni Brent.

Kaijin seems piss but I know that he's controlling his emotions.

I looked at him with a worried face. "Stop, I'm not affected." Although he said that he's not affected, I know that deep inside, it hurts. I know him for a short period of time but I know that it bothers him.

While we enter the Main Hall, it's already starting.

"So first, let us all welcome the candidate for the position of PRESIDENT."

"MS. LAXAMANA!" Students shouts as they clap their hands. Ako nanaman? Hindi ba sila nagsasawa? Why're they always voting me into this stuff if they choose not to follow the rules in school? Why they're always involving me if they're not willing to follow the rules of other SUPREME STUDENTS?

It's shit.

I tap the mic as I speaks.

"Keep this in your minds: I WOULDN'T ALLOWED ANY BRATS IN THIS SCHOOL. ALL OF THE SCHOOL RULES WILL BE FOLLOWED. THOSE WHO DARE TO DISOBEY MY RULES WILL BE EXPELLED IMMEDIATELY." Sabay tingin ko sa mga estudyante. Tumigil ang palakpakan. I feel the tension as they began to stay quiet.

"But, voting me means that I should watch you all. I'm not that capable to help you one by one, but you can just approached me if you needed a hand, I can lend my ears if you have any problem. I'll teach you to love yourself and how to manage your time in any subjects. I'll also propose a Student's Holiday and a Four subject Policy to shorten the school hours and to give you time for enjoyment and family and it can be done if you vote me as the Student Master in this Campus. That's all." I said while I smile. Dumagundong ang ingay sa buong paligid nang papaalis na ako even teachers and head teachers can't stop them from shouting.

Minutes past before they stay silent again.

"And for the VICE PRESIDENT, WE HAVE ONLY A ONE NOMINATED FOR THIS POSITION NONE OTHER THAN: KAIJIN DEL MUNDO." Nagpalakpakan ang lahat as they shouts 'TEAM KAIRISH.' Napailing nalang ako. What a childish love team name. I prefer Aijin. It's more mature tho.

Wait what? Did I just ship myself to this boy?

"Glad to be your Captain—" Umakyat ako at inagaw ang mic. Who said that they can call him Captain?

"I'm the only one who's allowed to call him CAPTAIN." I said while I look at the students.

"All of you should call him Mr. Kaijin or Kaijin. Any person who spread bad rumors about him will be punish." I looks at him as I tease him. Inagaw niya rin ang mic at tumingin sa mata mga estudyante.

"I'm the only one who's allowed to call her CHIEF, and all of you should call her Ms. Airish."

"YOU CAN FLIRT, SEDUCE OR EVEN COURT HER, WAG LANG KAYONG PAPAHULI SAKIN DAHIL HINDI NIYO MAGUGUSTUHAN ANG GAGAWIN KO. I'M SELFISH, AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A RIVAL." He looks at me as he smirks. "But then, the decision is in MY CHIEF'S HANDS. If she'll accept the game or not." He's challenging me.

"Are you saying that all of you will vote me?" They shouts as they clap.

"Very well, I'll accept the challenge." He looks at the students as he smirks.

"IT's CALLED KITTIES AND DOGS. You're allowed to VIOLATE the rules, you have your own freedom, and you have your own decisions. BUT,"

"IF WE CAUGHT YOU, YOU'LL EITHER BE THE KITTY OF THIS SCHOOL FOR GIRLS OR A DOGGIE FOR BOYS AND WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS, YOU'LL BECOME A SLAVE OF THE SUPREME STUDENTS, REGULAR STUDENTS, AND TEACHERS UNTIL THE END OF A QUARTER." I nods as I find his game interesting. He gets my hands as we get down.

The introduction of nomination continues while me and Kaijin are just watching.

"You break the rules to create a harsh game?" He smiles. "Parang gano'n na nga." Napatango naman ako.

Introduction end so the head teacher speaks.

"Ngayon na nalaman niyo na ang mga nominado sa eleksyon, all of you will vote online. And remember, Vote wisely and choose wisely. That's all, you may now go to the Main Computer Lab." Tumingin samin ang teachers.

"Kayong dalawa, halata naman na kayo na ang Chief at Captain sa school na Ito kaya you better do your proposals."

"We will." I respectably said.

"By the way, since kayo na ang Chief at Captain, can you do the checking of attendance everyday?" Tatango na sana ako ng magsalita si Kaijin.

"We should give it to the future secretary. That person is the one who needs to record everything right?" Hindi na nakapagsalita ang guro bagamat halata mo sa mukha nito ang pagkapahiya.

"Very well then," Then she left without looking back.

Natapos na ang lahat ng voting at umabot Ito hanggang uwian kaya maaga kaming pinauwi para bilangin ang mga votes.

"SHIT! ANG SAKIT!" He cuss.

"Better shut your mouth Captain." Hinipan niya naman ang daliri niya.

"I'm just amazed that a girl who's born with a golden life likes to eat STREETFOODS." I didn't dare to speak. After all, Si Althea ang nagpakilala sakin sa streetfoods.

Pagkarating namin sa isang palengke ay bumili kami ng kwekwek, calamares, Chicharon, Barbecue, at chicken skin. After that, we ride home using his motor.

Pagkauwi namin ay pumasok agad kami at inihanda ang kakaining kanin at streetfoods na binili namin. Inilatag ang mga plato, iba pang kutsara at tinidor.

"Ms. Nadia, do you eat already?" She nods as she smiles. "We eat already, take your time." Sabay alis niya. Did she read my mind?

We prayed as we start eating. Kumuha ako ng 1.5 liter of coke sa ref at napagtantong dapat na akong bumili ng mga beverages and snacks.

We talk as we eat.

At sa oras na ito, I know that he's the only one that can really understand me.
