6 Tests

The line into the large gym took a bit but with most of its various entryways, almost everyone could enter. The gym was filled to the brim with students with enough space for examiners to watch over the students.

Four sections are made with a small divider showing each. Mainly divided into Civil Duties, Math, Tactics, and Electives.

The whole exam's main purpose was to sort out those who wished to fill in the Union officials, who had more distinct control over the common soldiers.

To pass the exams, he would need to excel in two subjects and he would be legible to get an average grade compared to other students.

The school usually riles everyone's score to allow an average to grade off of but a bare minimum was counted for since they too had standards over troops.

Bai Li had a great memory so passing the Civil Duties would be easy if he chose not to do it himself.

But due to his focus on history courses over others, he would at least be able to pass with an average score in Civil Duties.

Everyone was writing in unison and with no regard to their surroundings, examiners were watching with the eyes of the hawk to catch if anyone cheats.

As of now, one student was brought out for sneaking in a paper inside.

His yells could be heard being forcefully removed as the guards began escorting him. These students were there to scare them off and are usually employed by the school to scare those who attempt to cheat. But nobody knew if it was real or fake.

With the powerful guards, they must've already known most of the cheaters with their perception but the moment they tried to, they were immediately caught. Those in possession of materials were only given a slightly reduced score and those who did would be expelled and would not be considered a space citizen to the Union government.

Citizenship was needed to go to the other planets and so those who do cheat would be unable to explore other regions of the Soul Realm which limits their progression a deep amount.

Occasionally people wouldn't care about it and were fine living off the Soul Realm in Golden Star's Region.

The bell rang which signified the rotation of students taking the exams.

Everyone moved including Bai Li, taking on the math section.

Though Bai Li had an excellent memory and remembered mostly all equations, the actual application and calculation were outside of Bai Li's mind. Many students were also like Bai Li and were stumped taking the exam. Some even just gave up and answered a few of the questions without trying the hard questions. Bai Li was trying his best to push his mind to the limits trying to finish the exam.

Some sections allowed the usage of calculators and were even still unable to solve questions.

He had little hope of passing the math exam but that little hope also had chances of getting a passing grade.

The bell rang with many people with pale skin, they most likely knew that they weren't gonna pass the math section which gave a lot of pressure.

Tactics was also another memorization but needed the application to use it.

Some were modified and situations in the paper test showed different scenarios and events. Even some questions were rigged so they would try to not lose too many points from the hard parts. Tactics wasn't really a vital part but it was very nice to know in actual combat situations so that they knew their role in the army if they chose to join.

It was all very easy to some, including Bai Li. and in the distance, Zhao Fei was also taking it, his cold demeanor with no interactions with other students made it hard to believe.

He definitely had the money to hire tutors and a personal instructor to help him take the test. He had an unfair advantage compared to the rest of the students but nobody could do anything about it. The Zhao Family was the family of the governor, his role made it easy to access former soldiers from the Union to personally take on tasks for them.

Bai Li was seen as the dark horse when they compared them, a man without any direct benefits except his own two hands had brought him to second place, compared to Mo Tian, he was a favorite to all of the students who had the same start as Bai Li.

The bell rang and the usual sequence of people with pale faces was seen.

The last but not least is the Elective section.

It was an unorthodox course where several section was open to take, several courses that weren't very popular among the students were in these sections and students were mandatory to take one.

The history section only had about three seats, showing the whole importance that in all the cycles of students who take a class every week or so, the most the class ever had was three. an utter disappointment with people with pride over their ancestor's history and such.

He took the test which was mostly things to do with memorization and some using context to try to identify details.

The day ended just like that, the body fitness test was the day after with the remaining time of the day to either hone their skills or rest.

The body fitness test was way easier by just identifying their body fitness number, the average of the score from their instinct, strength, and speed.

Bai Li felt he had a small breakthrough when training and finally reached the 9 region, he was now a fully-fledged righteous part of the Bright Star Dojo since every other genius had the fitness level of 9.

He was able to surpass his original speed of 14 meters per second to about 16.

Zhao Fei didn't reach that speed so he was number one in terms of speed, but in everything else, beside instinct/perception, he had the highest grade for.

So his body fitness was indeed higher compared to Bai Li with his perception being a bit more than Zhao Fei.

Just like that, the scores came in to see who were accepted in the academy, which was really hard to get denied as they accepted many people to their minimum standard. Only about ten students had failed and would have to retake it next year with less bonuses.

Bai Li had passed the written form and the fitness test with passing colors and was now an Elitist Cadet in the Golden Cadet Academy.
