26 Lone Wolf

In just a matter of 5 days, they had arrived in the city.

The same busy streets numbered through the city and they were in the outpost.

"You are currently 5 days due from the original date, you must pay 51,000 as your charge. Lucky for you, I won't take commissions from your time out."

It was the first person they met that had heavy respects to them when they first checked in, he wasn't quite happy when they were over the date, but looking at Tomahawk's condition, he gave them a little lee way.

"Ehe thanks."

"Don't mention it."

He donned a smile as they began walking off to the house they were renting in the outpost.

They saw the same manor that Mo Tian was taking and it seemed they renewed their lease, they must be in a rigorous spree or found something worth their time.

"Well, we'll get back to our residence to let Yue Su to recover, here's our mercenary card, call us when you need us."

Ju Dun was gonna stop by to his contracted blacksmith to get his shield in check, his weapon was now damaged and he would need a new one to operate efficiently.

They were basically letting Bai Li off of his so called leash by the Academy. He was free to do anything he wanted as long as he took care of his own.

He was afraid and excited at the same time, not knowing what to do.

"Oh yeah, about your rewards, go to this place."

If a teenager gave them the corpse of a Saint blood High tier Beast, rumors could spread about a newcomer having such luxury and would spread unwanted attention.

Fire Axe gave him a business card which read.

Monster Carcass Firm

Class A Investor

Jia Yan

Most warriors that hunt large crops usually wanted to be kept hidden, unless they specifically wanted the attention, they would contact groups such as these that keeps the name of their clients anonymous and they would receive fair prices, and the Monster Carcass Firm was the largest.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it, we're blood brothers."

They both shook hands and looked each other sternly to the eyes, they had formed a bond that would never be broken so both could grow to new heights.

Both went their separate ways and began heading out once they finished packing.

Most people looked at Bai Li strangely as his bag was awfully very big, he had modified his cowl to a far extent to vaguely cover his face and was the hidden form of the cowl, if he wanted, he could keep the demonic mask and scare away others, but as of now, it was quite hard for a teenager like him to roam openly. So he opted out for a simple shades and a bike face mask. It made him look very suspicious but nobody paid heed as he wasn't harming anybody or interfering in their business.

He wandered aimlessly throughout the streets as he was lost, asking other people for directions and finally coming up to one of the largest towers.

He opened his mouth in awe but it wasn't visible, he would also need to get use to the sighting as he brushed it off and went in.

The interior of the lobby was very simple, a few rows of chairs along with some control panels. Exotic plants were in place at each end of the rows and a reception desk was in the far center.

He walked in through the large gates where numerous workers go to and fro about.

Their was a beautiful lady in the front wearing a simple black suit with a miniskirt. With such simple fashion, it highlighted her natural beauty.

"What is your name and which agent do you belong to."

"Jia Yan." He handed his card to her, to which she was in shock. An A-Class Investor as your agent was hard to come by and meant that they dealt with various materials, and to rise to an A-Class is difficult enough.

A special mark on the card represented the agent's approval.

"Jia Yan's office is right on the 38th Floor, you can ask the reception there for more information."

She kept a business like smile as they would not want to offend their clients, and one coming from an A-Class.

"Thank you."

He immediately darted to the elevator, this was his first time talking to a beautiful figure like her face to face so he wanted none of it.

The elevator opened, revealing a much more luxurious design unlike the lobby.

Encased inside was simple purple Berat and outlines of gold inside. It was a sight to behold as this simple elevator would cost more than his life.

He went in and dialed in 38. With quick shifts from each floor, it arrived in just mere seconds towards the 38th floor.

Inside was a spacious area, like a lounge. Lawn chairs were placed throughout with a spiraling exotic exhibit of plants and running water.

Some chairs were occupied with people most likely talking about their jobs and such.

"Are you Bai Li?"

A simple man, bald which made his head glisten. His visage was proper with a dark blue suit, lined with purple.

"Yes."

"I've received a contact from Yue Yong, you have something I'd like to see?"

This time Bai Li nodded.

"Very well, come this way."

The man, most likely Jia Yan, was leading him to the numerous doors from all over, the quality of the door was made evident to which room was which grade. A-Grade was very defined with a barrier from the rest with a lion engraved on it with a gold mane.

An exquisite door.

The door opened which revealed a simple room with a desk and two chairs from each side. The walls were layered with a chalk-like material as it would most likely not audit to the surroundings of their deals.

Both sat in the chairs as Jia Yan was on a computer for a bit, making a personal record of his dealings. Agents with clients were usually paid or promoted by the deals they make to gain higher ranks.

Seconds after typing in some keys, he looked over and shifted towards the open area.

A small crevice allowed for a strange machine to pop out from the desk, with a simple laser and a numerical value displayed in a hologram above it.

"Now please take out the material, you don't have to care about the size as the table would expand by in relation."

"Okay."

He placed his large backpack over the desk and unsealed it, the usually stretchy material of the backpack was squeezed to the maximum so the moment he lifted the seal, it all let out.

The snake's carcass was separated by both its scales and different cuts of meat.

Large vials were also located as it was the snake's blood.

Jia Yan looked at it and grinned.

"Definitely a Yue Yong work, he always does everything he can to make it simple."

Usually warriors wouldn't care for packing their gains neatly and usually the body would be too damaged, so they would reduce the total price by how poor they handled the material.

Not only that, if they took all the valuable parts in certain categories, it made more sense to just separate them and make it easier for them.

The machine grew in unison with the desk, a strange contraption indeed. The ray of the machine went all around the desk, the calculation being presented on the display.

After a few minutes, it finally finished, grading the quality and the identification of the material.

"The total price I could give you for this High tier Saint blood carcass is 25,000,000 Credits. The market price of the raw product is usually 15-20 million but if done by a expert the price could go up to 30. The carcass was damaged prior due to two strikes, damaging parts of the scale and some scales and blood taken from the original measurement. I would actually give you only about 20 million but due to the circumstances, I'll give you the rest as a bonus so if you get anymore, please work with me."

He processed everything he heard and mustered a reply.

"Definitely, thank you."

"Agreement finished, please place your card here."

The desk on Bai Li's side opened to show a card inserting icon.

He took it as granted and placed it inside, shortly disappearing before coming back out.

"25,000,000 has been added to your account, thank you for doing with business with us, most importantly me."

He held a business smile, the competition in this type of occupation was very hard and brutal. If he didn't maintain his quota he would receive a reduction and if he were to do well, he would become a section manager.

They both finished and he received another card as a reassurance if any other broker would annoy his client.

The meeting was quick and simple, he feared that the transaction would be much longer but it ended quickly, he truly liked it and left earnestly.

He went out to the market and bought many essentials as well. Though his Berat sword was now broken, he sold the scraps which ended in about another 13,000,000 due to it being fragments.

He had gained a hefty sum that even Grade C mercenary party would earn in two years, Bai Li was truly ecstatic as he cheered within his mind.

Though he was quite sad for the sword breaking due to it being sentimental to the dean of the academy, but he would most likely understand if he took it upon himself to aid him in need.

And now he wouldn't really need a weapon, as his cowl could now morph into a small blade for him to use, but having extras was always a good idea.

He bought a Primordial Blade called Scorch Horn from a Scorching Rhino of the High tier beast so it was about 1,000,000. Even though he spent quite a large sum, he would still need more to prepare for his journey back to the cave.

He heard from Fire Axe they were gonna extend his internship so he could do more stuff and have the freedom, to which he showed his appreciation before.

He sent money from his account to the grandma next door in the material world, paying for the highest level of treatment so they could give her the ability to function correctly, even paying for supplements that would raise her soul energy so her life span naturally increases.

Both shared a happy moment together on their devices which naturally ended.

He was now fully geared to exit out, he materialized his cowl and the fearsome demonic mask materialized.

He headed to the outpost once more to go back to the cave so he can begin studying the numerous books left behind by the man who gave him the foundation qi that was important in the battle with the Nightmare Cobra.

He would pay his respects and make his burial proper, for his prosperity in the afterlife and gratitude of death.

He would be essentially by himself for the maximum internship of 10 months as he would need to return shortly after, making the most of it through his journey back.
