5 Childish Rambles

"Rubbish, I believe it to be quite fair if I were to use my armor with you!"

His name was Mo Tian, a rather prominent family on the Golden Star Planet.

The Mo Family holds much of the shares of the soul crystal mines and is a patron family to the governor of the planet.

Their Golden Mo Crystal Company was expected to reach new heights after receiving their investment a few years back. They have small stocks on other planets as well which shows their size.

The Union states that all governing families are unable to own property outside of government gains. But that didn't stop investing in other companies and such. Those that were invested by them had strong backing from the governing family.

"Do you think wearing those types of stuff will aid in your strength? Expect in years' time you will be completely useless later if you continue to use those."

Bai Li was trying to be sincere but came out sounding as if he held little care of his use.

Mo Tian definitely tried to pick a fight with Bai Li since the Mo family definitely had their own MPCA equipment with a higher grade.

"Why not! Money is also a proof of power you know?"

He held a defiant smirk, Tian's father had actually skipped conscription with the help of the governor and was like a pig who gobbled everything he saw as an opportunity with the disappearance of competition of his age.

The Mo Family now owns about one-fourth of all shares in the Golden Star Planet.

Rules applied in each duel when anybody could challenge others with their position.

Bai Li grasped his heart.

"I am not trying to embarrass brother, for I am sure you will surely lose even with your armor. I am merely giving my heart in my response."

Part of his response was true in how he could deal with his armor and defeat him.

"You..."

His veins bulged as Bai finished his last word.

"You... Watch your back!"

He knew his place and knew the power of Bai Li, but still challenged him.

He couldn't tell his two bodyguards to do anything once inside the dojo since the other soldiers, who had a residence in the dojo would all come to aid Bai Li.

It was merely impossible to deal with him here and it was almost the same as outside.

He was called Rook for a reason.

Someone with a strong will and who crushes everything in his path, a true Rook indeed.

When he first entered the Bright Star Dojo, he was given enough points in the middle point of the scoreboard.

It was given to help those who placed near last to continue climbing and help newcomers climb as well.

200 Students all requested a duel with Bai Li and as if he were mad, accepted each and every one of their requests.

Following the rules of consequential battle, he had to battle 20 people a day in a 30-minute resting period in between each duel.

He had won each and every battle in the same manner but at varying times, and he didn't fully master his Art of the Body yet either! His accomplishments had led him to be the second on the leaderboard, even beating Mo Tian fairly being the last duel of the day, where he would be extremely tired.

They did not care whether he was talented, with billions of people on this planet, passing a genius was normal. But the level of hard work and bulwark of Bai Li's resolve, they couldn't stop and not be jealous of someone who clawed their way up in this world.

He became an urban legend with what he did and he was revered not as a genius among them, but a hard worker.

In about weeks time, the exam would start and those who wished to join the logistics and analysis of the government would have to pass.

Mo Tian walked begrudgingly to the gateway of the dojo with a wave of his hand, and the two bodyguards followed behind.

Mo Tian definitely had an ulterior motive or some secrets to have the guts to take on him once more, and always to be named third.

But the way he presented himself made it extremely obvious and mind.

Being pampered by his family made him totally indulgent with little care for other people around him.

There was an ongoing rumor that a child accidentally spilled milk on him and he was so angry that he sent his henchmen to destroy their house and even sent them to jail with laws usually not enforced tightly like others.

Warriors are unable to harm the general populace unless believed to be an appropriate requirement.

Killing anyone in the Union grounds is absolutely illegal but spars that don't end with death are all allowed. But those laws don't apply in the Soul Realm, only strength dictated the environment and basically being law of the jungle.

Nothing much happened for the past few days as he continued alternating the days he went to the dojo and the library. Honing his skills and memories of historical events key in what we have today.

The three important goals were to explore both the frontier of space and the frontier of the Soul Realm. And the final being their goal was to acquire Earth or what is left of it.

Many untouched things are in the Soul Realm and which brought much importance when taking the courses.

The Shika had also been around longer than we could imagine with elevated intellect and mythical technology we are unable to comprehend and completely duplicate.

The Dominion had always been a foe to the Union with their rivalry told with no known intent.

And just like that, days go by and it was time for the examination period.

Bai Li awoke from his slumber in his one-room apartment and got ready, wearing the most comfortable things so he could completely relax to keep a level-headed mind. Tieing his shoes, he left with nothing holding him back, he walked with great force toward his first goal.

The first examination was where he was headed.
