The Beginning

It was night dark and cold. The winters in the Free Lands have been devastating. Few among the resident of this world have access to magic. Some say that the gods only bless those who are close to the elements and have access to the source. But what is magic if it can't be easily tapped and learned. To those nobles who have access to these ancient passages of rites, magic is acquired through fealty and allegiance with the gods. Some say you need enchanted items or natural items blessed by the elements to acquire these so-called magical powers. Others learned magic through summoning the power of the ancient devils and making contracts with beings of the nether realms.

Schools founded on the mainland continent eons ago were deemed to teach the spirit of magic to the younger generations. It has been prophesied in the books of the Jaguars, the ancient race - "When silver turns to gold, a child in red shall mark a reunion of enemies and an age of magic." Believing that the world that they lived in would not be truly free as it is now, they have taught magic and swore to protect the Holy Land from evil. The boundary that separates the Free Lands, Aether, Nether, and Dark Lands must not be broken, and only by the use of magic can they truly protect their homeland.

However, over time, the magic in the air have been gradually decreasing. Leaving only a few gifted people to use such power. They are the ones who swore allegiance to the human kingdoms and to their gods to protect this world from the destruction of evil.

Wizards can cast magic with the use of their minds. Witches have the innate power of witchcraft and curses. Summoners can summon beings from three realms and use them as their fighting allies. Human royalties taught chivalry and priesthood to honor their gods. These are the main fighting force of the human race. On the other hand, the dark brotherhood known for its secrecy has taught rogues, thieves, and assassins. Barbarians, elven archers and druids, and Orcish warriors and priests are the other fighting force of this world. They may have been times where these races are at war but when called forth in protecting their homeland they would once again unite to ensure that freedom is achieved in this world.

But for one child, he acquired it through an ancient method unknown to the current man - contact with the elements through a source. A lucky encounter that changes his life through contact with elemental spirits called familiars. The characteristics of these spirits can only be understood by its invoker - an Elementalist.
