8 This Is A Warning

Sister Liz seemed to read what he was thinking so she continued

"I've gathered all of us here today to clarify something." she paused,

"As long as I am the head of this orphanage no one can do these vulgar acts. Unless you kill me, I will make sure that all of the faces you saw in this videos disrespecting our beliefs will have to be punished."

As soon as she said this more hulking, hooded figures entered the conference room to chain those who have sinned. The priest and nuns in the orphanage are religious people and never in their mind did they think that someone would go to such lengths so they never bothered to learn how to defend themselves. Outnumbered by the hooded figures, no one dared to fight back except for Sister Min who had just snapped out of her daze.

"How could you do this Sister Liz! I am also a nun here and I am even older than you! How could you disrespect me and the priests!" she wailed.

"Why not?", Sister Liz replied nonchalantly.

"Have you not done such vulgar actions, would you be asking me that now?"

With that, Sister Min snapped and shouted,

"You think too highly of yourself, woman! I know you're not as clean as I am! I know you sold your body to get to that position, you whore!"

Sister Liz looked at her in dismay. Before she could signal something to Sister Leia- PAK! another hard slap was heard. It was the nun who had slapped Father Sev.

"I'm sorry Sister Min but I had to do it." the nun said angrily.

Everyone knew that from all the nuns in the orphanage, Sister Liz was the one deserving to be the head. When the orphanage was facing hard ordeals it was Sister Liz who worked the hardest to keep it standing. She was the only woman in that room who was really committed to live up being a nun after the downfall of religious sects.

"The worst thing to call a nun is a whore, you whore." the nun spat.

She turned her back and started to walk away but she stopped halfway. She faced Sister Min again and landed another hard slap on the other side of Sister Min's face.

"This is for the children you secretly beat without any reason.", she said expressionless.

Sister Min's face was numb from both the hard slaps.

"As one of the senior nuns here in the orphanage. I would like to use any power in my position for Min's dismissal as a nun." the nun declared looking at Sister Liz's direction.

"I will make sure to do this, Senior Sister Agatha." Sister Liz answered politely.

Hearing this, Min seemingly lost all her energy lowered her head in defeat. She didn't fight any longer and has accepted her fate. Sister Min was once an innocent woman who wanted to serve the Almighty but she was vulnerable. This vulnerability allowed her to be corrupted and become the person who she is now. She has no one to blame but herself.

Seeing the commotion, a cold sweat ran down Father Sev spine for he knew what is going to happen to him. He knelt to the ground, and pleaded hastily,

"I'm sorry! I gave in to the devil's whispers and did such acts. I hope that you could forgive me."

In his mind it was all just an act so that he can buy time to plan on how to get revenge. Everyone in the room knew, however, he was acting. There was not even an ounce of sincerity in his words and was set only to selfishly save himself.

"The Almighty loves the children the most. Those who hurt those innocent children, who can't even fight for themselves, deserve to be given a punishment worse than death." Sister Liz maintained firmly as she looked at all the people in the room.

"This is a warning, just because our religion was made weak by the Surge doesn't mean you could go against your vows."

Now she looked at Sister Leia and the hooded figures,

"Bring them to the black room and put the right punishment for the sins they had done."

When the chained nuns and priest heard this their faces sunk in fear. The black room is known to all of them as the punishment room. This is where they normally put the children who commits grave sins for them to reflect and repent. For the children it was only a dark room with no lights. However for the nuns and priests, they knew, it was hell.

Some of them held Sister Liz's hand and ask for forgiveness saying they won't do it again and repent on what they had done. Some of them were on a daze knowing it would be the end of them. Some of them were trying to free themselves from the chains to runaway but they couldn't. They were all afraid of what is ahead of them.
