15 The Jade Amulet

Sister Leia turned the video off and leaned on her chair. She heaved a heavy sigh of relief as she stood up and proceeded into the elevator. The lift slowly made it's way down.

'Ting' the doors opened and both of them were welcomed not by a surging heat but a warm light. One of the hooded figures was there to greet her.

"Right this way, Sister Leia." the hooded man said. Sister Leia just responded with a light nod.

Soon they arrived in a white room where a total of 18 people were lying on the each of the beds with lots of apparatus connected to them.

"How are they?" Sister Leia asked the hooded man.

"They're all currently in a state of coma due to the impact of what happened in the cubes." the hooded man answered.

"Check on them regularly. Inform me immediately if something happens." she instructed.

"Understood." the man acknowledged.

Sister Leia walked over the beds of the nuns and priest and stopped in front of Sister Min. A lot of electrodes were connected all through out her body. Sister Leia gave out a gentle smile. Like she had succeeded on something.

Back when the nuns and priests were entering the black room they were knocked out and were injected with a drug that would make them forget some of their recent experiences. It will also let them be in a deep sleep as Sister Leia work on her tab to control the happenings that would play in each of their minds.

The truth behind the punishment room was that it was all an illusion. Sister Leia had been working over the improvement of the punishment room ever since Sister Liz had become the head. Both of them had talked over on how they could make the punishment room retain its purpose without physically hurting those who will be punished. They introduced hypnotic and mind altering technology as a way of keeping physical violence out of the punishment. Instead of attacking them physically they targeted the mind. Indeed, it was more effective than the past procedures.

Sister Leia walked out of the room and proceeded to report the matter to Sister Liz. Upon arriving, however, Sera was the only one in the office.

"Sister Leia." Sera said as she bowed her head slightly.

Sister Leia gave a single nod, "I'm here to report something to Sister Liz. Is she here?" she asked.

"Sister Liz sent the children to the library. She told me to tell you that you should have a cup of tea first for a while as you wait for her." Sera said as she poured the hot tea on a tea cup and give it to Sister Leia.

Sister Leia sat down and accepted the drink. "Thank you." she said. Sera just gave her a smile.

Sera looked at Sister Leia as she drinks the tea. Sister Leia noticing here gaze looked back at her

"Am I that pretty?" she jokingly asked. Sera snapped out of her gaze and looked down as she shyly said "yes". Sister Leia gave out a gentle laugh.

"I see now why Sister Liz liked you so much." she said. Again Sera smiled shyly.

"How do you feel about your new family?" Sister Leia asked again.

"They seem very kind." Sera answered honestly. She really liked the Stedores because they were very kind to her during their first meeting. The Stedore's gave her a welcomy vibe.

She felt that Sera really liked the Stedores. Still nothing is certain yet, so she didn't trust them easily, especially that her own family, just like the Stedores, are magi. She reached out something on her pocket and passed it to Sera.

"Sister Liz values you so much. Everything that Sister Liz values I value as well. Always keep this with you. In the future if you ever get into trouble this will help you." Sister Leia said sincerely.

Sera looked at it carefully. It was a jade amulet. The jade was shaped into a sphere and a golden dragon was coiling around it. The jade didn't look very simple as there seem to be a white light coming in from the inside.

"This looks very valuable Sister Leia, I- I can't take this." Sera said honestly as she held the item in her hands forward to Sister Leia.

"It's fine I don't have any use of it anyway. Take it as my farewell gift. But remember it is its only kind in the world so don't ever show it to anyone you don't trust fully." Sister Leia reminded her. Sera realized that Sister Leia really wanted to give it to her so she accepted it and put it in her pocket to be secured. "Thank you Sister Liz." she said.
