6 Chapter 6: On the way to Nue Village

It had finally been at least an hour since I had been thinking about a lot of things. Zonan was far enough away I could think. He was worried about me so he came by to see if I was ok. "You ok man." Said Zonan. "Yeah I'm fine." I told him back. "Give me a bit longer." "Ok no need to rush." "Thanks uncle." So Zonan left back to his post. I started thinking more.

While Lucia was thinking and Zonan was on watch, there were suspicious people about 4 coming into the woods. They finally got close enough for Zonan to see so he said, "Halt! Who are you 4? Speak!" "The woman spoke up and said " We have some business with Lucia. Have by any chance he came by?" "We are old friends." Zonan said, " I will be right back. Give me a moment." They smiled suspiciously.

"Lucia!" said Zonan quietly." Lucia!" "What uncle. Why are you whispering?" "You need to go to the house now. There are suspicious people looking for you. They said they had business with you." "Its ok uncle. I can defend myself. Let me see them." I followed Zonan back out.

"Hello Lucia. We have come to take you back." "I figured it was you guys. Why do you want me back. Its too late anyway. I already have my quest and leave in about 1 week. Even if I wanted too which I would never. I can't go anywhere until my quest is done." "Hey lady. I have wanted to ask you something for a long time. I heard from my sister you cursed me. Why did you curse me when mom was still pregnant with me?" " I knew you were most likely going to be the fox prince. Has anything bad happened to you recently yet that would inquire a curse?" "No not yet. It may have not went through or worked. It may have been too strong for the curse to even take effect." "I guess we will see won't we." "Now if you have no other business please get off my uncle Keelo's property or I will have to use force." "Oh a kid like you thinks he can defeat me can he? Why don't you try it." I got out my dagger, and when she saw it she stopped in her tracks. "Wait kid. Where did you get that dagger?" "From an old friend. You don't need to know. Now if you don't want me to use it, I suggest you leave now." "Fine! We will be back same day next year. Be ready for us." "You know I will." Then the woman and the 3 men left. I felt so relieved I feel on my knees. "Hey Lucia. You ok man?" said Zonan. "I'm fine. I think. Lets go back to the house. I need to rest." Zonan helped me up and walked me to Keelo's house.

"Hey everyone." Said Zonan. "Lucia! You ok!" Neve ran over to make sure I was ok. "You worry too much sister. I'm fine. Just tired." "I'll tell you later." said Zonan. "OK Lucia. lets get you to bed." "Thanks uncle. Sorry about this." "Its fine man. We are family after all." "Ha ha yeah we are." "Ok here we are. You ok from here?" "Yeah. Night uncle." "Night Lucia." So Zonan left the room.

"I'm back everyone!" Said Zonan. "Zonan what happened out there?!" Neve sounded worried. "The people that took him before, came back. Luckily no fighting was involved. Lucia was calm about it. They said they wanted to bring him back. Lucia told them it was too late he already had a quest and would be leaving in a week. Then they talked about the curse put on him when your mom was still pregnant with him." Mom interrupted him. "That curse was not put on him. She may have thought she did, but it was on me." "Sister? What are you saying?" Said Zonan. "When I was pregnant with Lucia I got sick remember? We thought it had something to do with the Nue sickness but it was much worse. You almost lost me." "So then was that the curse?" "I am assuming so. If not, keep my boy safe. Protect him like Neve protected him." "Sis I promise to protect him the best of my ability. As an uncle." "Thanks brother." "Let me finish the story. After they were done talking, Lucia told them to get off Keelo's property if they had no more business with him or he would use force. Then the woman was egging him on to fight. Except when Lucia pulled out that dagger, it scared the woman. So no fight was involved. She said they would be here again same time next year. After they retreated Lucia felt relief and collapsed on his knees. That is why he was weak when he came in." "I'm glad he didn't involve a fight." said Neve. "I agree." said mom. Then everyone else nodded.

"Ok we should all head home." said Neve. "It's getting late. The twins are already asleep." "Come on Camilla walk home with us." Said Quinn. "Wait a second. I want to say goodbye to Lucia." "OK but be quick."

Camilla knocked on Lucia's door. (knock knock) "It's me. Camilla." "Come in Camilla." I said. I was just reading a book at the time. "Hey Camilla. Heading home with Quinn and Keyon?" "Yeah. The twins are so cute when they are sleeping." "Haha. I bet. They are cute little things." "Well I am all better now. When I get back from my quest, I have something to ask you. Until then I will spend as much time as I can with you until I leave ok?" "I'll miss you." "I'll miss you too." So me and Camilla kissed on the lips for awhile, then she waved and left for home.

A week later, it was finally time to leave. Everyone was at the house since they knew it was the day Zonan and I had to leave. "Ok Lucia. We should be getting ready to leave. Go pack your stuff and say goodbye to everyone." "Yeah uncle." I went into my room and started packing. Someone knocked on my door as I was packing.(Knock Knock) "Come in." I said. "Oh Camilla. Come to help me pack?" " I was just about to ask that actually." "I was just joking but thanks." So Camilla helped me until I packed for a week. "Well. This is goodbye for who knows how long." I said. "I know. Just be safe ok? Don't get yourself killed." "Yeah. I will do my best not to. No promises I won't get hurt though." "I'd rather you get hurt than die on me." "Yeah I know." So we kissed awhile and joined everyone.

"Ok everyone." I said. "Be good. Be safe." Keno and Zain ran over to me and gave me a big hug. "Oh I'll miss you cuties too. Hey Zee. When I get back, I want to meet that little one." "You will. I promise." "Yours too Alyssa and Lycan." "Yeah." Just as I waved and we started walking, Camilla ran over to me and hugged me. "Woah Camilla." "Sorry. I'll just miss you so much." "I'll miss you too." I hugged her back. "Hey I have an idea. Since Keelo's house is closer to your work, why don't you stay there until I get back. You can stay in my room. Let Keelo know I said it was ok. I'm sure it will be for them." "OK thanks Lucia." "I'll miss you too." I wiped my eyes cause I was going to miss her too. Then I turned around and we walked on. She watched Lucia go until they were out of sight.

Zonan noticed me crying. "You ok Man." "Yeah just got something in my eye." "Haha. I know that line all too well." "Its ok Lucia. They will be fine. So will we." "Yeah I know." "Oh and something I forgot to mention." said Zonan. "We will be training you on the way to the village as well. For your Nue situation." "Good. That way when I go over there, I can be a little better than I would have been without it."
