5 Chapter 5: Talking about the Quest/Kidnapping

The Next morning, I woke up with a headache. "Ow. My head. I wonder if that dream is at the Nue village. If it is, it would be convenient. I guess I will find out today." After awhile my headache stopped then I got dressed and headed out to the breakfast table. "Hey everyone! Mornin!" I said maybe a little too happily. "Morning Lucia." said Frostine. "How did you sleep?" "It was ok. Can't complain. Anyways I'm hungry. What's for breakfast?" "Can't you talk about anything that isn't food?" said Keelo. "Jeeze your just like your old man and sister." "Haha. Really dad only ever talked about food. That's funny." I sat down and ate my breakfast.

"Oh when everyone gets here, I want to tell everyone about what happened when I was kidnapped after I will talk about the quest. I can trust everyone here right? No one we shouldn't trust?" I was curious. "We can trust family anyway." Said Keelo. "None of us will talk." "Ok good. Later on today when uncle and the others show up I will talk. I've got time."

Awhile later it was finally the time that uncle and the others are supposed to show. There was a knock on the door. (Knock Knock) I happened to open the door. It ended up being uncle. "Its true. You are back." said Uncle Zonan. "Hey. You must be uncle Zonan. You look a little like mom." "I get that a lot. Yeah I'm your uncle." "Before we talk about anything, a few others are going to show up." I said. "Ok we can wait. Till then lets do some catching up." said Zonan. "Hey I have an idea. I want to take you out in the forest and start training for about an hour if its ok with mom and dad." "Hey I'm 16 I don't need their permission. I'm not a kid anymore." "Haha. Hey Zayla. He is just like me at that age." "Yeah I noticed." "Ok then come on." "I-I guess." So we walked towards the forest, to a wide open space. "Ok uncle. What are we going to focus on first?" I asked him. "First I want to ask when you turned and how long it took you to turn back." "Well I got back 2 or 3 days ago. I had just willed myself back to human. I was a Nue for a few hours. When I got here I was all beat up because I was in villages that were afraid of me I guess." "Ok then. Lets see. How should we do this. I know. You were close to your sister when you were little. Think of her. Maybe if you have a girl you like." I blushed. "Ohho who is it? Tell me." "Its Camilla Quinn's sister." "Oh boy. Wait till he finds out your back and in a relationship with his sister. Think of her then. To transform human. Then we will worry about controlling. Don't worry if you hurt me. I can take it." "All right. I will try." I said. Getting to Nue form wasn't hard, but getting back was the hardest part.

Once I turned, so did Uncle. "Wow uncle. Your color is awesome." "Yours is pretty cool too. Green and purple with a blue gray coat. OK now. Lets get you turning human." I closed my eyes and thought of my family and Camilla. 'Come on. Come on! Get human!' Then I remembered that day I came home and finally felt myself changing back. "Pfew. That took a lot out of me." Then I collapsed on the snowy ground. Uncle ran over to me to make sure I was ok. "Hey. You ok?" "Ah. Yeah. I'll live." "It hasn't quite been an hour yet, do you want to continue or head back home?" said uncle. "We can try one more time." "That's the spirit! Ok then. Same thing." I turned to a Nue once more, and thought of when I first got here, and turned a little quicker than before. "Pretty good Lucia. What were you thinking of when you transformed back?" "I was thinking about how I returned home and seeing my sister. Just being back home." "Good Good. Now you just have to learn to control yourself around people. Its a Nue's instinct to attack after being hurt like that." "Yeah." "Ok we should probably head back" said Uncle. "All right." I said.

As we headed back to the house, that headache came back. "Ah." I held my head. "You ok Lucia?" "Just a small headache. I'll be fine." "Lets get it checked out by Aries or Neve later." "Yeah. That would be good."

We finally got home and my headache was getting worse. "Ahh. Hey everyone. I'm not feeling good. I'm gonna lay down for a bit." "You ok Lucia?" Said mom. "Yeah. I will be." I went to lay down for bit.

After Awhile everyone was starting to finally show up. The last one to show up during the day was Camila. "Hello everyone." said Camila. "Hey where is Lucia?" "I knew it was a little quiet around here." said Neve. "Where is that brother of mine?" Then uncle spoke up. "Lucia has been having a headache. I don't know how long he's had it. We were actually gonna wait till you or Aries came by to check on him." "I'll go" Said Aries. "You stay with the kids." "All right. Thanks." said Neve.

Aries knocked on Lucia's door. (knock knock) "Its me. Aries." No response which worried Aries. "I'm coming in." Aries opened the door and saw Lucia asleep. He went over and checked Lucia's forehead. He had a slight fever. "Damn! If I knew what this was, I could help him with medicine or my blood. The only thing I can do for him now, is natural medicine for fevers." Aries got out some herbal medicine for fevers, and tried to wake Lucia. "Hey Lucia. Lucia? Lucia. Lucia!" Aries shook him a little and Lucia woke up. "Hmm...I don't feel good." I said. "I know. I came to give you some medicine to help you. This is herbal medicine for fevers and pain. Until I know what this is, I can't help you." I took the medicine then layed back down to sleep.

Aries came out to the living room and said, "Lucia has a slight fever. I gave him some herbal medicine for pain and fevers. Its all I can do for now." "Poor guy. I remember these days with you Neve." "They worried me." "Yeah I know."

It was getting close to dinner time, there was a knock at the door. (knock knock) Keelo opened the door and saw Quinn and Keyon. "Well welcome back home. Come sit down. We are about to have dinner." "Thanks we will." said Keyon.

Neve said, "I'm going to check on Lucia." But before she could get up, I was already in the dining room. "Hey how are you feeling Lucia?" Said Neve. Then she felt my head. "I'm fine Neve. I feel loads better whatever Aries gave me. Thanks man." "Its my job after all." "Oh and Neve. Thanks for the picture." "Hehe. You finally saw it. Good. Your welcome." Everyone sat at the table like one big happy family visiting.

Once dinner was done, it was time for a serious talk. Everyone sat down in the living room and were talking all at once. "Ok everyone. Ok calm down!" said Keelo. "We are all here tonight to hear what Lucia has to say." Everyone calmed down and I took a deep breath and said," Well I actually have 2 things to talk about today. First the important one about my fox prince quest. Zonan. Can you please describe the Nue village? I have a feeling that is where I am supposed to go first before my journey." "Of course. Well there are a mostly Nue of course. So it hardly ever snows. It was grassy fields and lots of mountains." "I figured as much. That's definitely where I will start my journey. What I saw in my vision/dream, is a lot of mountains and when I looked down I saw someone's sandals. I know I'm supposed to take a certain object up a mountain for my quest. I just don't know what. I guess I will find out when I get there. Also as for when I leave, It won't start for at least a month. How long does it take to get there uncle?" " Well for starters, you have to be a Nue or be with a Nue to find it. It took me about a week to get here." "OK so I have about 1 week to have fun before we head out I guess. Then a week to get there. The following week will be my quest. I will be a busy guy. As for my other thing I wanted to tell you, was what happened when I was gone." "Will you be ok talking about it?" said Camilla. "We don't want to force you if it was hard." "Its fine. I'm ok now. Really."

So I started talking about what happened while I was away. " I was....I was taken away because I was the fox prince. That's all they ever talked about. I never saw any faces because they wore masks. One of them was a woman. The voice sounded a little familiar but couldn't remember where I heard it before." "Was it a young woman?" Said Neve. "There was a woman back at one of the villages when I was on my journey." "Actually now that you mention it, it did sound like her. I know its been a long time but I will never forget her voice it was very unique. Also there were other kids there as well. They were tested to see if they were the fox prince before I came. They were all little boys about my age. It made me so mad I couldn't do anything to help them. I was so pissed off I broke my hand at the time. They fixed it up for me. They couldn't have me killed or hurt to bad. They needed me for something. They wanted to wait till I was old enough to understand. I got away before I was old enough for all that. It was already too late for those kids. Poor kids. Even if I did let them out they wouldn't survive. I blew that place up when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I was there for 2 or 3 years. When I escaped, some got away. I finally was at a spot I couldn't get away except for a waterfall. I was a stupid kid. I jumped off the cliff into the water. I thought I was dead or going to die. I just closed my eyes ready to die. Then someone on a boat found me. They got a net and fished me up. I was still not conscious at the time. The people did what they could to bring me back. I finally coughed up some water. When I woke up I was freaking out. I didn't know who they were where I was or even who I was. I couldn't remember anything. They calmed me down and took me to their village and took care of me. They had little ones my age and younger. It was really fun. I had almost forgotten I had Amnesia. I would have come home sooner but I couldn't remember who I was or where I was from. Sorry guys. I probably would have been home sooner if not for that. That is part of why it took me so long to get here. Every time I heard the work sister or mommy or daddy or some other random thing. That's when I started getting headaches as my memories returned. I was about 9 almost 10 when I had my memories return. I talked to the people who took care of me when I had memory loss. They agreed it would be best to see you guys again. They probably miss you. I was getting all packed up and ready to go. It was hard leaving the little ones and my new friends. I stayed with them for a year. I told them maybe someday I will come by and you can meet some of my family. They said they would be happy too. As for the other 5 years, the ones that took me found me again. I stayed with them for another 3 years and escaped again. This time I was prepared. I always had my head covered so no one would recognize me. As I got older, I got smarter. I was 13 now. The remaining 2 in a half years, I was in another village who took me in. I was in a healers place for about a year and a half until I woke up. Once I realized I had been asleep that long I was shocked. I also apologized. I wanted to know who it was that helped me out. Then as on cue the person who found me and brought me in came in. He was in his early 20's. He said he was glad I was ok and finally awake. I really did want to go home, but I thought I had to grow stronger first. So I can protect my loved ones and myself. I told him that too. So he invited me to say with him for a year and that's where I was until I was on my way here. Before he sent me off home, he gave me something. I think I might have lost it on the way here." Neve pulled something out of a pouch she was carrying. "Was it this by any chance? I saw this drop out when we got you to Keelo's." "Yes it is. Thank you so much Neve. It means the world to me. He helped me get stronger. After he gave me the dagger, he said to use it for defense never to use it to in anger. He also gave me enough money to get supplies for my journey home. It was in one of the villages I was resting at that I felt a strange feeling and turned into a Nue. I can't remember which one. They punched, kicked, threw rocks at me in my Nue form. I could have sprained and got scrapes from the way I fell. That is the end of my story."

After the story Camilla gave me a hug to comfort me along with my sister Neve. "Hey guys its fine. I'm fine. Dammit! I guess I'm not." I said in tears but silent ones not the sobbing or wailing kind. "Hey I'm going to go for a walk alone if that's ok. I can take Zonan if he can stay far enough away I can think and calm down. I know they could probably come back." "See you in an hour or 2 guys thanks for listening." So I headed out.
