19 Chapter 19: Lucia's old wound

It was finally time for us to start packing. We told everyone that whoever wanted to come, meet us at the gate at a certain time. Keelo and dad were watching Zaylen. I was helping Camilla pack and make sure she had everything. She shouldn't need much, cause she can get what she needs there or the Evan's already have it. The only thing she really needed was her clothes makeup hairbrush. She could get a toothbrush and toothpaste there.

"Got everything Camilla?" " Yeah I think so. I will help you pack as well." "All right. Lets rest first. When we get to Keelo's." " Good Idea." Then we started walking to Keelo's and talking to each other as we did.

"Hey Keelo. I'm Back!" "Oh hello Lucia. Your son was waiting for you." "Hi little man." I said as I picked him up. "As soon as we rest, Camilla is going to help me pack." "Alright Lucia. I'll keep watching Zaylen until you do ok?" "Thanks uncle." So we sat down and chilled on the couch.

As I was relaxing, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach where I had gotten stabbed. "Ahh. What the hell?" I said. "Lucia? What is it?" said Camilla worried. "I don't know. All of a sudden I had a sharp pain in my stomach where I had gotten stabbed on the Quest. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse." "I will send a letter today, so by the time they get it we will be a few days in and meet them. Have Zeno come as well. You said it was his people that did this to you." "Yeah. Good idea. Thanks." "I feel fine now. It was just a quick pain." "We should still be cautious." "Yeah I know. Your a worry wart." "Well I have my reasons. Remember when I said I was adopted by Quinn's family?" "Yeah. I do." "Well I told you I don't remember what happened to my parents. I was still a little girl. I have flashbacks of what happened to them well at least I think I am." " Oh Camilla. Is there anything I can do to help?" " If I think of something, I will let you know." "Alright." I gave Camilla a hug and kissed the top of her head.

"OK shall we get packing then?" Said Camilla. "Yeah. Lets go." So we went to my room and started packing my clothes brush and pics my sister made for me. "That's all I really have. I haven't been here long enough to have anything else. Oh and my dagger and sword as well. OK all packed." I said. "Well I guess you wouldn't have much. You just got back home A few months before your Quest. Then just got back after a year. Is all of Zaylen's stuff packed?" "Yeah. I decided to just keep his toys here and buy some there for him. I am just bringing his clothes diapers bottles and pacifiers. His blanket as well and his stuffy." I said. "OK good. Hopefully that will keep him calm enough before we get there. I hope these flashbacks won't continue and your pain doesn't come back and get worse." said Camilla. "Camilla I will be fine. Don't worry. I've come close to death many times in my ten years gone before I came home and a few times in the quest. See I'm still alive." "I know. I'm sorry. I just don't want anything to happen to you again. I love you so much." "I love you too Camilla. I promise you. I won't die." "You better keep your promise idiot." Camilla kissed me on the lips and after we headed out to get our baby boy.

It was finally the day we were heading out. We made sure we had everything and said goodbye to everyone at Keelo's. Keelo wanted to see us off at the gate and told him it was fine.

Finally we were at the gate to get ready to leave for the Nue village. Looks like my sister, Mom, Quinn and Keyon decided they all wanted to come. Camilla's parents couldn't' come but they said they would give us word when they wanted to visit. I would pick them up or mom would take them. I was looking for Wren and didn't see him so I said, "What Wren didn't want to come? Almost everyone here was on my sisters quest." " Your right Lucia. Good memory." said Neve. "Wren said he had somewhere to be and stuff to do." "Haha. I bet he does." I said. "What does that mean?" said Neve. "Oh you will find out soon enough don't worry. Oh since there are few here, Zonan and his buddies said they could take some of us in. I'd feel safe if mom and Keyon stay with Zonan I will just tell the Evans you will be staying with uncle. They wanted to take you in. Quinn and Keyon you will be staying with Archer." After I explained everything, we headed out.

We had been walking a few days taking turns holding and feeding Zaylen. We were almost halfway there when my pain started up again. I was trying to hold the pain in, but my body was weakening so I stopped. I said, "Guys. Wait a min." Then I fell. "Lucia!" said Neve and Camilla in unison. "Lucia! Did the pain come back?!" "Yeah. Something is up I don't know what. Ha...Ha..." I started breathing hard because it was worsening. "Its ok Lucia. Your going to be ok. The others should be meeting us any time now." Said Camilla. "I'll get my brother. Quinn a little help please." "Yeah. Coming." So Neve and Quinn dragged my me to the meeting place. When we got there uncle and Zeno were waiting for us.

When Zeno saw me he said, "Shit. I can see why Camilla wrote that I needed to be here. Put him down here." So they put me down and I was still panting because of the pain. "Lucia. I'm going to have to cut you open ok? Trust me I know what I am doing. Do you have enough energy to use your power?" said Zeno. "Yeah. Haha. I think so." I was sweating really bad and had a fever. "This is going to hurt Lucia. Bear with it. Someone take the baby up a ways so he doesn't get scared." Quinn took the baby up and got far enough away then Zeno started cutting me. Of course I screamed because it was painful. "Ahh..." "Hang on Lucia. Don't die on us. I'm going to help you. Hold on!" Zeno spit some saliva into my wound. "Hopefully that should cover it. Lucia can you freeze your wound to heal it?" " I think so." I was able to do it but barely. It froze the wound and stopped the bleeding, but not close it. "That should hold til we get to the village." I said. Then I passed out. "Shit. Lucia! Hang in there. I will get you there. Hang on." The next thing I knew I was waking up in the Nue hospital.

"Hmm..." "Lucia?" Said Camilla. "Lucia are you finally awake?" "Y-yeah. I guess I am. Ouch." " Stay still. Your wound still hasn't healed. You have been in here 4 days." "Are you kidding me? 4 days?" "Yeah. The Evans are in the waiting room waiting for you to wake up. Zaylen is with Neve at the moment in there as well." "When can I get out of here?" "I don't know. I'm going to get a doctor and let them know you are awake." "Alright."

Camilla found a doctor and told them that Lucia was awake. That he needed to be checked up on. "OK lets go take a look at him." said the Doc. So they went in Lucia's room and the doc introduced herself. "Hello. My name is Doctor Jayden. How are you feeling right now?" "Like I got carved in the stomach." " Well according to your chart that is what it looks like to us as well. Lets take a look at your wound." The doc removed the gown to see his stomach. "Well from the looks of it, we can take the stitches out today and you can leave in 2 days." "Thank you doc." I said. Then she left to her other patients.

"OK I'm going to let everyone know your awake. That you will be ok enough to go home in 2 days." said Camilla. "Yeah. Go ahead. Hey have Zeno come in here while your at it. I need to talk to him alone." "Sure."

Camilla went out to the waiting room and told everyone he was going to be ok and that he wanted to talk to Zeno alone. "OK I bet I know what its about." said Zeno.

Camilla took Zeno to Lucia's room and left for the waiting room. "Hey man. How you feeling?" Said Zeno. "Well I feel like I have been carved into. That pain from earlier seems to be gone now." "That's a relief." Said Zeno. "So I heard you wanted to talk to me alone about something Lucia?" "Yeah I do. Its about what you did to me." "Yeah that." Zeno sighed. "OK here's the thing. Only a few know of my healing ability. I can't cure just anything. It can only cure certain poisons. I have a special power. My saliva has healing power. Like I said it can only cure certain poisons. When you were stabbed in the stomach from my kind, I was worried you were going to have some affects. After a year I didn't think you would. I guess it just depends on what you are." " I see. So it has to be in the wound where they hurt me." "Yes It has to be in your bloodstream or it won't be cured at all. That was he quickest way I knew how." "I understand. Thanks man. For helping me out. How is my son?" "Oh he is fine. I seem to be the one that stops him from crying when no one else can." "Haha. That's funny." "OK Lucia. You should rest. Your sister and the Evans will be coming in to see you in an hour or so." "Alright. Thanks Zeno." I almost immediately closed my eyes to rest.
