17 Chapter 17: Meeting the Evans

It was finally the day to go to the Nue village again. We were getting our bags ready to go while Zaylen was playing in his playpen. We were also waiting for Keelo to come pick Zaylen up. "Ok. I'm all packed. I better check on Camilla. "You ready Camilla?" "Yeah. Just about." "OK got everything. Now I'm ready." Not long after she got ready there was a knock at the door. (Knock Knock). Mom opened the door and it ended up being uncle Keelo and aunt Frostine. "Hey guys. Come on in." said Mom. "Ok Keelo. The bag is ready with what Zaylen's stuff. Mom will give you the key if you need anything for Zaylen that you run out of. Have a fun business trip mom and dad." said Camilla. "Keelo be good to our son ok?" " Haha. You know I will. Plus your mom and dad live here too. Don't forget." "That's good then." I picked Zaylen up and said, "Mommy and Daddy are going to go on a long trip. Be good for uncle Keelo, aunt Frostine, grandma and grandpa ok buddy. I love you." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and gave him to Camilla. "Ok little man. Be good ok. Don't give everyone a hard time. Mommy and daddy love you." Then we both hugged him and told him goodbye. "Alright uncle. He's in your hands." "yay me. Hahah. Just kidding." "Alright. You two be careful." "We will. See you guys later." So we were off.

We met Zeno at the gate. Then we headed out on our long journey. We were walking along talking about what the village and the people are going to be like. I explained to her the types of things I saw at the village. " I wonder what the people we are staying with are going to be like?" I said. "I'm sure if Zonan picked them out they would be interesting people. I'm sure they will be nice people and welcoming in their own way." "Who are you going to stay with Lucia?" said Zeno. "Oh we are staying at the Evan's house." "Oh the Evans huh? You are right. They are interesting people. They have a strange way of welcoming people. I would keep your guard up with them. Especially with their twin boys. I swear your boy will be safe. None of the boys will harm or scare the little one." "I hope your right." I said. "I will be staying next door to you for now. In fact as long as you are staying there I will. Just to be safe." "Thanks Zeno. I feel safer with you near by. For some reason, our son really likes the feel of your scaly skin." "I know right. I never knew a kid who liked it that much." Said Zeno.

"Ok so what do we talk about on this journey? Hmm. Oh I know. Zonan is supposed to be training me with the sword to work out its special power. I had to bring it with me. Also the dagger I never leave home without. When our son gets old enough, I will pass it down to him. Camilla if anything happens to me. I'm not saying it will any time soon but it it does, I want you to give this dagger to our son ok?" "You need to stop talking like that Lucia but yes I will make sure it goes to him when he's of age." "Hey Lucia. Don't worry about it ok? I will make sure you don't die. I will protect you even if I die in the processes." "Now who's talking nonsense." I said. "Ok boys just calm down." "No one is going to die right now anyway. So lets worry about it when the time comes ok? Thank you."

We were walking days and nights until finally we were halfway there. Just as we were about to leave, we saw someone walking towards us. Zeno and I put our guard up to protect Camilla. Then the man got closer and we saw it was just Zonan. "Oh its just you uncle. Don't scare us like that." I said. "I assume you have already heard about the Evans from Zeno?" "Yes Uncle we have. Are they really good with babies?" "I'll tell you what? I'll let you meet some of the parents that have the Evans as a babysitter and let them give you there opinion ok?" "That's a good idea Zonan. Thanks." Said Camilla.

So we walked on till we got to the gate. As we were walking up to the gate, we saw 4 people. Zonan said, "Those are the Evans." "All right." I said. So we finally got up to the gate and I said, "Nice to meet you Evans family. I'm Lucia. I'm looking forward to staying with you in the future." Then Camilla spoke. "Nice to meet you. My name is Camilla. Its just us right now. It would be a long journey for the baby." "Nice to meet you both too." Said Mr. Evans. "My name is Zack. My wife's name is Zadia. Kids introduce yourselves please." "I'm Tony I'm the younger twin." "I'm Rodey the older twin. We are 10 years old." "I'm sure you heard from Zeno here what our adventurous boys do." "Yes we have. We are still willing to stay with you if that's ok?" I said. "Of course it is." Said Zadia. "Lets head over to our place and get you situated." "Thank you. Mr. and Mrs. Evans." Said Camilla. "Oh you can call us by our names if you'd like." Said Zack. "OK thanks Zack." I said.

We finally got to their house and it looked normal enough. When we got inside it was just as normal. The Evans Showed us to our room. "This room will be for both of you." said Zack. "Thank you Zack and Zadia." said Camilla. They left so we could get our stuff situated. We closed the door and put our bags down by our bed, and laid down to relax.

After a bit we decided to join them and see what's up. "Hello everyone." I said. "Hello Lucia. Did you both have a good rest?" said Zack. "Yes we did. Thank you." said Camilla. "Well there are really no rules except to be here at Dinner time. You are free to use any food we have here in the house. Just let us know when anything is low or gone. We will pick it up. Dinner is at 7. We try to be in bed at 9 or around that time." Said Zack. "Well thank you guys. We are going to take a walk around the village if you don't mind?" "Of course not. Have fun." Said Zadia. "Boys you stay here. Don't bug them their first day here." said Zadia. "Aww Man. OK. " Said Tony. So we went off to explore.

After we were gone aways from the house, I said, "Phew. They are interesting for sure. I'm glad we can get away for a little bit at least." said Camila. "Oh Camilla. I want to show you where I will be working. I have to stop by and talk to the boss there anyway." "That's fine." "You ok Camilla?" "Huh? yeah I'm ok. Just thinking about our son." "He will be fine. He's with Keelo my mom and dad." "Yeah your right. Your mom and dad are there. Thanks Lucia." So we finally headed for my future work.

We finally got to the place where I will be working, I said, "Hey is the boss in today?" "Oh Hey Lucia. Good to see you again." Said one of the workers. "Yeah. Let me go get him." So he went off to get the boss.

The boss came out and said, "Well look what the cat dragged in. Lucia. Good to see you again." "Likewise. Can we talk out here for a min? It won't take long I promise." " Sure. I know a spot hang on. Janice your in charge till I get back ok?" "Yes sir." "Come with me. We went to a spot behind the building where they take breaks. "What's up Lucia. Well looks like I may end up living here after all. Is the job still available?" "It sure is. I told you I would keep it open for you." "This is my girlfriend Camilla. Our son is at Keelo's house right now." "Can't wait to meet the little guy. What did you name him?" "Oh we named him Zaylen." "Pretty cool name. Where you stayin?" "We are staying with the Evans." "Aren't they the interesting ones." "Well the parents seem normal at least. That's a plus." "Hahah. I know right. Its those kids that seem a little weird." "Mind if I get the gang together and let them know?" "Sure." "Ok I'll bring them out. Ok everyone out a meetin." Everyone came out and stood in front of the building. There were 4 of them plus the boss makes 5 and I would make 6. "Ok everyone. Lucia here is going to be working for us. He will be movin in the Evans for a couple years." Everyone cheered and saying "Welcome." "We'd love to work with you." "Ok well. We are just hanging out today and checking everything out. Its my girlfriends first time here." "Oh well have fun then. See you when you officially move here." "See ya boss."

" I like him." said Camilla. "haha. Yeah he is interesting huh? I like that guy too." So we walked around town just to get to know the area. We stopped by a tea house to get some snacks and tea. "Hello Jasmine." I said. "Oh Lucia. Good to see you back." "Nice to see you too. This is my girlfriend Camilla." "Nice to meet you Camilla. Your gorgeous by the way." "Thank you madam." "Oh call me Jasmine like everyone else. Your welcome." "Can we get Some tea please. Camilla. What tea do you want?" "Jasmine please." "Ok we will get two Jasmine teas with some dumplings. Thank you." "I will be right back Lucia." So she left and Camilla was looking at me.

"What? She's 20 years older than me and has kids and a husband. I know she looks younger. She does some sort of spa thing to make herself that way. We have a baby Camilla. Your the only one for me. I promise." "You better remember that Lucia." The tea and Dumplings finally came. "Thank you Jasmine." I said. Then she left and we started eating our dumplings and drinking our tea.

Once we were done, I decided to show her the romantic spots in the village. "I'm going to start with my favorite romantic spot first, then we will go to the others. There are 3 more romantic spots so 4 in total." "OK lets look at two today, and two more tomorrow." Said Camilla. "OK sounds good."

"Here is my favorite. It looks over the river with mountains. At night the moon reflects through the water." We stayed there for about 15 min cuddling and enjoying the view, then we went to the other romantic site not far from this one. "Oh this one is beautiful." "I thought you might like this one. It has Sakura trees and green fields." We stayed there the same amount of time."

"Ok Camila. We better head back to the Evan's its already sunset. We want to rest before dinner at 7 we better do it now." So we headed for the Evans house. We walked in and said "Hello. We are back." I said. "Welcome back. Did you two enjoy your stroll?" said Zadia. "Yes we did. Thank you. I think we will rest a little before dinner." I said. "Ok remember dinner is at 7." Said Zack. We went up to ours rooms and laid on the bed.

"Phew it was a long day." I said. "Lucia? Are you feeling ok?" "Yeah why?" "You don't look well." Camilla felt my head and I had a slight fever. "Oh Lucia. You have a slight fever. You need to rest. I will go down with them and eat. I will bring up some porridge in a little while." "I'm fine really Camilla." I tried to get up but fell back down. "Its probably this heat." said Camilla. "We are used to cold temperatures. I will be right back." "All right honey." So I laid back down holding my head.

"Zack and Zadia? Lucia has a fever. I think its this heat. We are used to colder climates." "I know some medical info." Said Zack. He went in to check on Lucia. "Hey Lucia. I heard you have a fever. Is anything hurting?" "My head started hurting a little bit ago and my body is starting to hurt." Zack felt my forehead and said, "He has a fever alright. I know just the medicine he needs. Are you allergic to anything?" "No I'm not." "Ok that's good. We will make some porridge for you in a bit." "Thanks Zack." "Don't talk get some rest." I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
