16 Chapter 16: The Decision

Neve was still at Keelo's, I was still there as well. I had to tell mom about what the villagers told me. I also wanted Neve to stop by Camilla's so I could give her the gift I got her. First I went to Neve.

"Hey Neve." "Oh Hey Lucia. I thought you were going home?" "Oh we will. I just have to tell mom something. Can you drop by on your way home. I have something for you I picked up on my journey." "Yeah. Of course." "OK. Maybe you can walk with us then." "That will work. Aries is at home with the kids already. so no rush." "OK good. I will rush because Camilla has the baby and I'm sure she wants to get home. OK. I won't take long." So I left to find mom.

I finally found her and said, "Hey mom. I have something I want to tell you." "OK shoot." "Lets sit on the couch first. Its required for what I'm about to tell you." So we sat on the couch and I said, "Just as I told everyone they were there for people who passed and I talked to them. Alyssa's father wanted me to tell you they don't blame all Nue. Just the Nue that destroyed it. They pity them as well." "Oh Lucia. I have been wondering that for almost 17 years now. Thank you son." "Your welcome mom. Well. We have waited long enough. Mom I will most likely be staying at Camilla's house. Don't expect me back tonight ok?" "Alright." "Bye mom. See you tomorrow." "Bye Neve. Bye Lucia." "Bye mom." We said at the same time and laughed.

We finally got to Camilla's, and Camila said, "Mom I'm home. Look what the cat dragged in." Camilla's mom and dad walked out and saw Lucia. "Well finally the father comes home." Said Camilla's dad. "Sir. Maam. I am so sorry. I wasn't expecting her to become a mom so soon." I bowed. "Its fine." said Camilla's mom. "These things happen." "I was shocked and mad at first, but then I calmed down." Said Camilla's dad. "Oh Neve. This is for you." I gave her a blue and purple bracelet I picked up at the village. "Thank you Lucia. I wish I could stay but I have to relieve my husband from our kids. See you later Lucia." "Bye Neve." "So Camilla. Now that I'm here, this is for you. (I got her a pretty purple necklace with a C for Camilla with a purple butterfly on it.)" "Oh thank you Lucia." "I also got something for our son." I showed her the bear and she thought it was really sweet. "Here you go son." I said. "So what names did you have in mind?" I said. "Well. Since his name is already Z. I was thinking of a name starting with it. Before I tell you, what names do you have in mind Lucia?" "Hmm. Lets see....I like Zealand, Zaylen...." Before I can say any more she stopped me. "I was thinking of Zaylen as well. That was my first choice." Said Camilla. "OK then. We have his name. Zaylen it is." I said.

"There is something important I have to talk to you about Camilla. I talked to my uncle too about it. I told you I'm a Nue right?" "Yes. You told us all about it." "Well. They want me to move there. I told my uncle if I did I would want you too as well. I would let him know. Uncle will be staying at Keelo's in the guest room. Until tomorrow. I told him I would talk to you first. So What do you think?" We both saw how worried her parents were and Camilla said, "Mom. Dad. I have an idea. I will take a look at the village and see who we will be staying with, then I will let you know what I have decided. If we have decided to live there, we will take you with us to see where we will be staying as well." "That's a good plan." I said. "I agree with Lucia. It is a good plan." said mom. Dad agreed,"All right. Make sure my daughter and grandchild don't get hurt. Got it Lucia?" "Yes sir. I will talk to uncle tomorrow and let him know what we have decided." "Lucia. I'm going to leave Zaylen in the playpen next to you sleeping on the couch." "All right sounds good. Night everyone." I said. "Night." Said everyone. Camilla came over and gave me a kiss on the lips and got a little deeper but then we stopped. "Sorry Camilla. I just missed. You." "haha. Its fine. I missed you too. I think I'm going to l sleep on the recliner chair tonight with you two." "All right then. Night Camilla." "Night Lucia." "Night Zaylen." I said." Then we all went to sleep.

The Next morning, it was still early. I woke up thinking everything was a dream, then I saw my son Zaylen. I looked at him and smiled.'I really am home. I'm not dreaming.' I thought. I saw Camilla sleeping peacefully. I got up and stretched. I went over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. I went out to get some fresh air for a bit.

After I had time to get some fresh air, I went inside and saw Camilla and Zaylen awake. "Hey you two. I went out to get some fresh air. Are we ready to see Zonan and the others?" "Yep. Lets go." said Camilla. I carried my son all the way to Keelo's. My son kept pulling on my hair. I always kept my hair in a ponytail. I liked my hair long.

We finally got to Keelo's, Zonan, Zeno, and the other two were waiting for me to say goodbye. "Hey Keelo." I said. "Hey Lucia. Good morning." "It sure is." Camilla and I sat down and I said, " OK Zonan. Here is the plan. It most likely won't be today, but in the near future. We want to look at the village first together and meet the people we will be staying with before we decide to stay there. After we have decided, I told Camilla's parents we would bring them there to check it out themselves. Then we would make our decision." "That sounds like a plan. Just send a bird to notify me when you are ready ok?" "Yes Zonan. Zeno? What is your plan?" "Well the cold is kind of nice. I was thinking of staying here and following you when you decide to go. I have a few people who offered to let me stay as long as I needed. haha. I told them not to fight over me. I can alternate if I needed." "Haha. Yeah apparently my sister said these people are friendly. I think they are a little too friendly for my taste." I said. "Smoker and Celia. You guys coming with me right?" Yeah we are. Since Zeno will be with Lucia he should be fine." said Smoker.

"Well Smoker. I guess I will see you when I get there huh? You too Celia. Oh I forgot to ask. How was the talk with mom?" "It went ok. I'm so thankful she forgives me and doesn't blame me. I also apologized to your sister for fighting her back then." "Oh you were fine I'm sure. Sister is too soft. She fits right in here. haha. OK Uncle. We will be sure to let you know what we decide. Send us a bird when you get there make sure you haven't died yet." "haha. Very funny kid. See ya." "Bye Smoker and Celia. See you later." We saw them to to the gate and they left. Now it was just me, my son, Camilla and Zeno at the the gate. We all looked at each other and smiled and headed back in to Keelo's.

"So Zeno. Who's house are you going to stay at first?" I asked. "Well I think I will stay at Quinn and Keyon's first. Then Wren said he wanted me so I will go to his Next. I will figure that out next. I will do that until I decide who's house I want to temporally go to until you decide to head over." "Alright. Sounds good. We will let you know when we decide we want to go Zeno." "That's good. Alright. I better be going back to Quinn's. I told him I would be back after talking to you." "Alright. See you later Zeno." "Yeah." We went outside and let Zaylen play in the snow. Camilla and I stayed on the bench and watched Zaylen play.

"So Camilla. When do you think its a good time to head over there?" I asked. "Well I have to talk to my boss at work and let him know I might be moving. Then I have some paperwork to do before I leave." "No rush Camilla. We are not in a hurry. Take one day at a time." Camilla sighed. "You sound just like my parents in the first few months Zaylen was born." "So it looks like our son's birthday is in 2 months." "Yeah it is. Zee and Alyssa are going to bring their little ones over here. Neve is bringing her kids as well." "That sounds good. Do you have a cake picked out?" "No I don't. I was saving that for you to decide." "Ok I have just the thing. When it gets closer to time. So what should we do today?" "Well. Today I have work, I was hoping you could stay here and spend time with Zaylen." "Yeah of course. Have fun at work. I will stay here." "Thanks Lucia." So she got ready and I saw her to the door.

"Ok Zaylen. What should we do today?" I sat my son in my lap facing me. He blew raspberries at me. I wiped my face and said, "Oh is that how its gonna be." I started tickling my little boy and he started laughing. "Oh I know. Lets take you to the park. First we gotta tell grandma and grandpa where we are going." They told me I could call them mom and dad. "Mom dad I'm taking Zaylen to the park. Do any of you want to come with?" "Mom said she will." Said dad. So I got Zaylen's bag ready and I waited for mom to get ready. "Ok lets go Lucia." So we walked to the park.

We finally got to the park and we saw my sister Neve with her two kids there. So we sat next to them. "Hey Neve." "Oh hey Lucia. Is Camilla at work?" "Yeah. We left after she left for work. We decided on a name for him. Zaylen." "Oh that's a nice name." "Well I better go play with my son now. Nice seeing you big sister." "Yeah." So I joined mom and mom left me to play with my son. Mom sat next to Neve.

After awhile it was getting late and time to go home. Zaylen was getting cranky and it was his nap time. On the way home Zaylen fell asleep on my shoulder. "Is he asleep?" I asked mom. "Yeah he sure is." She said. "You know Lucia. I hope you stay with these nice people at the village until you two are at least 18. So when you do decide to move there, you or Camilla need to find a job to afford a place in two years." said mom. "I already have a job lined up for me. When I was there the first time they asked me to do some stuff already. They told me I did such a good job they would hire me if I ever needed one. That way Camilla can stay home with Zaylen." "That's good to know."

Finally we got home. I gently put Zaylen down in the playpen, covered him up and place his teddy I got him next to him. "Sleep well my little boy." "You know Lucia. You almost sound like a natural." "haha. yeah. Well I remember a little of how my sister cared for me. She had to care for me at 10 years old. 7 years older than me."

It was time for Camilla to come home. "Hey I'm home." "Shh." Said Mom and I. "We just got Zaylen down." "Oh ok." Camilla whispered. "Hey mom. Me and Lucia have something to talk about. Could you watch Zaylen for a few minutes?" "Of course." "Thanks mom." We went outside and sat on the bench.

"Is everything ok Camilla? You have a serious face." "Yeah everything is fine. I talked to my boss about the possibility of moving. He told me congratulations. That I had to start the paperwork today. So that's what I was working on. How was your day Lucia?" "Well it was good. I did a tickle fight with Zaylen, I took Zaylen to the park and mom went. I saw my sister Neve there. She had her two kids. I talked to mom about already having a job lined up at the village if we decided to stay." "Oh really? That's cool. What's the job?" "Well it will be part time I will have Saturday and Sunday off. I will be helping out the black smiths. I will be learning to make swords even though they are going out of style now a days people still make them. After a year I can start making my own swords." "That's cool Lucia. I'm so happy. Well I should be done with my paperwork in 2 more days. So I will write the letter and send it to Zonan and tell him we will be leaving in 3 days. By then we will probably already be on our way by the time he gets it." "Alright. I will go find Zeno and tell him the news. When Zaylen wakes up tell your mom or dad to watch him. You need rest. You have had a long day." "Thanks Lucia. Tell Zeno I say hi." "I will."

I found Zeno and yelled "Zeno! Over here!" Zeno looked around for a minute and spotted my hand waving. He came over to me and said, "Set a date yet?" "Yeah. We are leaving in 3 days. Camilla is writing the letter now. By the time it gets there though we will already be on our way. We will most likely meet him part of the way there." "Ok sounds good. How is the father life going?" "Haha. As good as its going to get changing diapers. Its fun playing with him. Oh we have a name for him. Its Zaylen." "Interesting name. Cool." How about you Zeno? How are you fairing?" "Me? Uh All the little kids want to touch my skin. They wanted to know what it felt like." "haha. That's cute." "We will be keeping Zaylen with Keelo and Frostine when we leave for the first time. Camilla's parents have a business trip." "Alright. I'll start packing tonight." " I better get back. I just wanted to tell you the plan." "Ok see you in a few days I'm sure." "yeah." So I went back home and I saw Camilla asleep on the table. She already put the address on the envelope. She just needed to send it. I got the envelope from her hand not to wake her, then Zaylen started to wake up. Zaylen was about to make a sound, so I picked him up and headed outside with him in the yard and played with him.
