14 Chapter 14: Back to the Nue village

We were finally back on the road home. I had to ride Archer for awhile to go easy on my wound. It had been awhile now and I can train. I still have to be careful but not as careful as before. We were finally able to train in the condition I was in. "Ok Lucia. I'm well now. So if anything happens we are here ok? I am sure Zeno can take care of himself with out my help." So I turned into my Nue form, and Zeno finally saw it. "So its true. You have become a Nue. You don't looks so bad. Actually pretty cool colors. Very rare. You would be perfect in the snow." I was doing much better at not attacking anyone and feeling relaxed. Zeno slowly walked up to me then stopped and let me come to him. Then I let him pet me. "Looks like you are calmer now. You are getting used to turning to a Nue." "Haha. I guess I am. Finally." Then one at a time the others pet me as well.

I turned human and said, "Hey uncle. We are close to where we saw that lady." "Yeah we sure are." said smoker. "Her name is Celia by the way." 'Celia is a pretty name.' I thought. 'If I had a girl I think I would name her that. I wonder what our child will be? What their name will be if I don't get back.' I shook my head to get back to reality. "Sorry guys daydreaming there. Ok lets continue."

We finally saw Celia and the others again. "Hello Celia." Said Smoker. "Hello Smoker." "So what shall we do here men? Should we attack?" "Celia. The boy is here to talk to you. He doesn't want any trouble. Plus he just recovered from a serious injury." "Fine. Fine. What would he have to talk to me about anyway? You told him my story didn't you?" "I had to. He wanted to know why you were the way you were." "Fine. I will give him ten minutes." "That is good enough" I said. "Come on boy. Don't worry I won't kidnap you with Smoker here." We went far enough that we can still see everyone.

"So your name is Celia. When I heard that name I thought is was beautiful." "Yeah that's what a lot of people say." "When I heard your story, it was heart breaking. Have you told Smoker how your parents died?" "Heck I don't know how they did. I just saw them laying on the floor in my house and ended up fending for myself." "I was surprised when someone paid attention to me. Smoker and his parents took me in. I was so thankful." "If you were so thankful, how did you end up like this? Didn't Gypsy live there too?" "It was when Smokers parents died. Yes that woman lived there too. She was my sister. I don't know what happened to her. I was a teenager and ran away. Smoker was older than me so he was alright. I decided to fake my own death so I didn't give anyone in the village trouble. I went back to the village to make sure the word got out and it did. I changed my name to Celia but somehow smoker found out I was alive and looked me up. As for the reason I ended up this way, I was traveling. I traveled so far and couldn't go anymore. I thought I was going to die. Then someone came to see if I was ok. I couldn't move at the time I was too weak to talk. They picked me up and took care of me. Those are who the people are today." "Hmm. I see. What happened to those kids in the cells next to me?" "Oh don't worry about them we cured them and sent them home. We made safety precautions just in case. We just made it look like they were killed. Well there is one kid who died. You know who he is." "Oh Yeah I do. At least the others are ok. So what are you going to do now Celia?" "Well I'm going to go back home and probably pay for my failure again." "Why don't you go live with Smoker? I'm sure he misses you. He hasn't lived in the village in years. He has been isolated. He will be coming to our village in the snowy area for awhile until he figures out where he is going to stay." "I will talk to him. I just don't want him to be in danger if they go looking for me. Thanks Lucia." "Sure. Go ahead."

We walked back over to the others, Celia and Smoker wanted to talk and we let them for a few min and Celia said, "I have decided to go back with you guys. If that's not a problem." "Celia are you sure you want this?" Said one of the men. "You know the boss will find and kill you." "I will take that chance. I will be happy enough to know I got to see Smoker one last time if I do." The men retreated back home and we were on the road again.

We walked awhile until we finally got to the Nue village. "Ahh finally home." Said Zonan. Zonan's buddies agreed. "First things first." Said Zonan. "Lets get all of you over to my place." We walked to Zonan's place and sat down a bit. "In a little while, Lucia and I are going to see the doc. We want to make sure everything is ok with us."

After awhile we were headed to the doctor and Smoker went with us. Zeno wanted to see the elder for some important business. Everyone else went home.

"Hey doc. We are finally back. I need a check up and so does Lucia. He just recovered from being stabbed in stomach." Said Zonan. "This is Smoker he is a friend. He's ok here." "That's fine." Said the doc. So the doc checked Zonan first and said, "Wow. Whoever helped you did a good job. Your in full health now. Well maybe a little tired but fine." "Thanks doc." Then the doc checked up on me. "I see he has a lot of scars from previous injuries as well." "Yeah. those were from 11 years ago." It has been a year now. Since I had been home. I am 17 now. "Well you look ok. You should be fine as well." "Take it easy you two." "Thanks doc."

Once we got home, Zeno was there waiting for us. He told me I had some letters from Camilla. I ran to the table to look at them all. I started with the recent one.

It has been a year now. Our son is almost 1 year old. Our son was born on the 1rst of June. He was 6lbs 7 oz. 20 inches long. Right now I have called him Z until you are able to come home. While he is still young I will call him Z. Come home soon. I miss you.

We are having a boy! I have some names picked out. I can't wait to see you again to talk about them. I found it out today. Mom and the others are taking good care of me. At the moment I have been staying at Keelo's I feel more comfortable there because you grew up here. I hope to see you soon.

Then I read 2 more letters and said, "Thank you Zeno. These letters mean the wold to me. I don't know if you heard, but I am going to be a father. My son is now 1 year old. She said she named him Z we will talk about it more when I get home." "We are leaving for Keelo's tomorrow Lucia. So before you go to bed tonight, get packing." "Yes sir." I said. "Hey Zeno. When we go are you going to come with us to drop me off for now?" "Yeah I planned on it. Plus I can't just let Smoker be with Zonan. He needs extra protection if he gets in trouble." "Thanks Zeno." "Hey everyone. I'm gonna go to bed. I'm a little tired." "Alright Lucia. Sleep well." Celia was in the next room sleeping. Zonan had a 3 bedroom house. "What are you going to do Zeno?" Said Zonan. "Well Archer invited me to stay with him. I took him up on his offer. I'm going to head there now. What time are you leaving in the morning?" "Uh depending on when everyone wakes up. I'm assuming around 10:00am." "Alright. I'll be here by then." "See you Zonan. Thanks for everything." "Thank Lucia. It was all him." "I will when I get the chance." Then day went on, finally it was night time everyone went to sleep.
