1 Run

Run.

The only thing running in her mind right now is run. I must run they must not catch me. Was her only thoughts as she fled from the village where she grew.

The moon was rising behind her lighting the way as she ran from everything she had known. The sound of someone chasing her made her quicken her pace she forced her legs to run faster. Her mind taking her to why she was in such a predicament right now.

~~~~~~Earlier~~~~~~

The sound of knocking brought her to the door in the small hut she was living in. At the front of the door was Orpha, the only girl in the village who is her age that made friends with her.

"Yue, the village chief called out for a meeting and everyone in the village must go so I volunteered to get you."

"You didn't have to Orpha, I probably won't be allowed to join the meeting anyway."

"No, Yue stop saying that it wasn't you who killed your mother and father you were just born then. Don't listen to those lies you're not a child of calamity."

"Orpha, no need to fight with the others about it whether it's true or not my parents are dead mom died giving birth to me and father nevered returned from his hunting trip that day. I was only Hunter who raised me as long as brother Hunter doesn't abandon me I'll be fine, besides don't I have you as a friend."

"Come on, we'll be late to the meeting if we continue to chat here."

"Orpha, why is there a sudden meeting the monthly meeting just finished and the winter is almost here so everyone must be busy with the harvest and all?"

"I heard that a magician of some sort came by the village and the chief requested for blessing on the village."

It all stated there. Everyone was asked to stand inside a circle with weird simbols if all the simbols lights up if male would train under the magician to become one if female was asked to step inside a tent.

When she steped into the magic circle it lit up so bright it was blinding. Stepping out she looked at the magician when she saw something in his eyes that made her fear. The look chilled her to the bones she was frozen in fear she didn't hear the wisphers around her. Frozen in fear she didn't hear what he said but one thing was clear for her she had to get away from this man. Get very, very far away.

In a split of a second she felt her body free from whatever bound her in that place and she ran, ran as fast as her feet could carry her away from this place that was going to be her nightmare is she didn't get away.

She could hear that shouts of the men from the village to catch her. Shouts of the magician saying that he would reward anyone who caught her handsomely.

She kept running even when her legs felt too heavy to carry, even when she was already running out of breath she continued to run until she reached the edge of the forest.

For a moment she hesitated but the sound of the men chasing her was getting closer and closer. Remembering what she saw in the magicians eyes she ran into the forest without looking back. With only a thought in her mind. He must never het a hold of me.

~~~Magician's Side~~~

The Jade Crystal.

I really thought I was so unfortunate to be told to lead the demon extermination here in this barren forsaken place, where birds don't even **** who would have thought that I would see the Jade Crystal. {evil smile}

A young man walk to the head magician.

"Sir, she ran into the forest and some of the men we brought chased her there but the locals refuse to even enter the edge of the forest according to them the demon forest is not something they would challenge or even enter. The village head also said that no one who entered the forest ever came out alive."

"Search, we have to get her that body is treasure and it will make controlling magic easier not to mention more powerful. We must get her before the news of the Jade Crystal reaches the others."

The magician walked backed to the village and with everyone looking at him he opened his mouth and said, "People of the Forgotten Village, I have a very grave news to tell you. The cause of the misfortune here in your village has fled to the forest. We will do our best to capture her and rid this village of the dark energy that has been causing you misfortune for years we will ask for nothing but your cooperation in our quest to rid this village of the demons."

He walked to the village head and ask to be shown where Yue has been living for years to help them track her whereabouts in the forest.
