54 The Battle

With a few quick movements from Yaatra she went flying in the air landing almost a mile away.

"Silly Ciall," Idris spoke now, her crooked grin bringing out her skeleton like appearance.

"You need a giant, to beat a giant." She finished and the dark blue light started to crawl along her body. Raising her in the air the light slowly consumed her at is grew around her. Eventually forming a large body with massive horns that even towered over Yaatra. It's head and chest where that

of a bulls but it's legs were human.

At the sight of the massive minotaur Yaatra began summoning the earth. It grew and wrapped around his body like armor.

The Minotaur stopped its feet shaking the ground and charged at Yaatra.

The men who were fleeing now returned and the light of magic filled the night sky. The buzz of magic saturated the air making Sionna dizzy.

"Stop," she whispered under her breath. Running towards the bee hive of magic. Yaatra narrowly dodged the Minotaur causing it to fumble and fall to its front legs. Regrouping itself it stood upright the dark being eyeing the giant in front of him. Only the slightest dark blue hue allowing it to be seen in the darkness.

Sionna lifted her hands feeling the air as an extension of her finger tips she grabbed ahold of the various forms of magic directed at Yaatra. Then sent them back at the people trying to attack him.

'Sionna don't worry about me, try to break those circles.' She heard Yaatra say in her head.

She nodded and ran toward the beach. Pulling her sword from her hip as she ran through the dense sand.

The buzz of magic vibrated her chest the closer she got to the water.

Swoosh. A bright white light went flying past Her singeing her red hair. She glanced at the sorcery to her left a glowing white staff in his hand. His long white beard weighed down by sand as the wind tried to lift it off his cloak. Sionna tried not to let anger fill her body and she lifted the sand to make a shield from his attack.

She took a deep breath and moved the sand from under the sorcerers feet turning it into quicksand. Before he realized what was happening he was buried. Not waiting to see if he escaped she continued running towards the circles.

Her heart seemed to vibrate at the steady hum of magic as she narrowly dodged blue, green and red lights directed at her. Finally she reached the circle and she swung the sword down hard. Yet when it hit the black line it bounced back at her like she had struck a rock.

Using her other hand she then tried to will the sand to break the black line but it didn't work. In frustration she tried to set it on fire yet it still remained and omitting that irritating hum.

Looking around for inspiration she saw the sorcerer from before. His eyes glowing white with rage.

"Give me a break," she muttered to herself.
