14 Bás Tapa

"Shit," said Demarcus slowly inching away from the wolf. The horses became spooked seeing the m massive predatory animal and Bohan's ran off since he was no longer able to hold onto it.

Demarcus's arm wasn't healed all the way but he tried to shoot at the wolf anyways. Idris pulled Bohan's shield from his dead body and use it as a barrier between them and the fearsome beast.

Demarcus's arrow was wobbly and slow, the beast quickly tore it from the air before it hit his body.

A knife went flying through the air landed squarely into the wolf's shoulder blade. This made the wolf back away from the group a little bit.

"Idris get us out here," Ciall said running towards the group.

Idris was cowering behind the shield and gave a shaking nod and began an incantation.

The wolf bit onto the handle of the knife and pulled it from his shoulder flinging it to the ground.

Demarcus launched three arrows at the beast hitting the opposite side the knife did. The wolf let a growl while pulled the an arrow with his sharp teeth and flinging it at Demarcus. It narrowly missed his face nicking his sharp pointy ear. Fear filled the elvish man's eyes for the first time, his arrows were soaked in poison and he knew he no only had minutes left to his life.

Another one launched toward Idris hitting her in the shoulder. She grit her teeth but continued the incantation.

Ciall went out of her way slightly to grab the knife and then sprinted towards the group. A third arrow hit her in the spine and she collapsed into Idris's lap.

"Taisteal!" Idris shouted opening here eyes that were now completely black. And a giant void of darkness consumed them.

The wolf growled with anger and in frustration picked up Bohan's head and chucked it at a tree. His helmet made a clunk sound when it hit the tree then a splat, as his scull exploded inside his helmet. A loud thud followed when his head fell to the ground leaving blood splatter along the tree.

The horses were frozen with fear not realizing that there was nothing stopping them from running away.

Caith gaze turned to them, he quickly shifted back to a human. Reaching out to the terrified equine he calmed each one down and took their saddles and reins off. Then began tying them to the carriage.

A dark void appeared in the middle of the stone courtyard. Shortly after three people appeared from the darkness. Two woman and a man. The man had a bow and arrow in his hands ready to shoot. A women in metal and leather armor had an arrow in her back. She was collapsed face first into the lap of the the second woman. This woman was wearing a light blue dress, strained with blood running down her arm, back and chest. An arrow was lodged into her shoulder blade. Her other hand held a wand that she let go of when she fell backwards and lost consciousness.

Everyone stood in shock for a moment when they heard the man shout while lowering his arrow.

"Help, we've been poisoned, the arrows are poisoned." He screamed while dropping his arms and leaning on the shield in front of him.

"Get a healer!" Someone shouted in the crowd while others rushed to help the trio. The man appeared to be fine except for the small amount of blood coming from his ear. And a half healed injury on his elbow. Yet he was visibly weak and foam started to pour out of his mouth.

"Bás tapa," he muttered to the people approaching him. His vision started to go and they looked like blurry shadows.

"Bás Tapa," he said again letting the darkness take over.

The goblin woman used all of her strength to lift herself up ever so slightly from Idris's lap.

"The knife," she indicated to the dagger in her limp hand. "Get it to the keeper." She gasped before Passing out like the rest of the trio.

The people scurried around them in a panic healers rushing towards them. I the middle of the chaos a man with purple skin grabbed the knife and walked in the opposite direction as everyone else. He looked down at the knife dripping in blood. He didn't understand why it was important but he knew there had to be something special about it. Therefore he had every intention of being the person to deliver it to the Keeper.

A fox lay in a very large bed made of wood. She was now stretched out in the sun absorbing the warmth of the sunlight. 'Little fox,' a voice said softly in her sleep.

Confused a the fox opened its dazed green eyes, looking into big blue ones.

'Sionna, we have to get going,' the big blue wolf said. He turned away from her and walked into the darkness. She could hear him change into his human form and start moving boxes around.

Sionna crawled into the green dress and stuck her paws in the sleeves and her head out of the hole and changed. To her surprise it worked.

"Where are we going?" She asked looking at the man who was packing and moving objects around.

"It's not safe here anymore, and it's my fault," he said with his voice dripping with frustration.

She now noticed that there was now only a dresser and one chest left. She remembered last night there was at least a dozen. He finished packing the dresser and chest. Then with his bare hands he created a symbol on the floor of his cave.

"What are you doin?" Sionna asked curiously tilting her head slightly while watching Caith.

"Burying a bone," he said with a smile while placing the chest in the middle of the symbol.

He dusted his hands off and placed them over the chest. Quietly he started a chant and blue magic appeared to be pouring out of his hands. It landed on the chest pouring over it onto the ground it retraced the symbol draw in the dirt. When Caith stopped reciting the spell the blue magic pulled the chest into the ground as if it was made of nothing but air.

Sionna looked at the ground under Caith in shock. There was nothing there, no sign of anything.

Caith smiled at her surprised expression.

"I have a lot to teach you. But we can work on that later." He gave her a wink and headed towards the opening of the cave.

Unsure what else todo she followed the man to the entrance of the cave. Caith fastidiously jumped down to the bottom of the cliff and held his hands out as if to catch her.

The corners of her mouth turned upward as she gingerly jumped down besides him. Each beaming at one another other they headed into the forest.
