8 Little Six

The title made Andrea stiffen. Somehow the title made her a bit edgy but strangely, it did not make her angry. The stranger took off his hat and she saw a familiar face. A face she thought she would never see on Earth.

"Your gaze tells me you know who I am." he said, a little confused. "But that's strange… you shouldn't know me yet since you met me in your next life, well, the third one."

"Things are different now, Little Six."

The man looked to be in between shock and annoyance. Andrea snickered at his reaction. Little Six was the nickname she gave him when he worked as one of her six generals back in Vastia.

"But, only… only her majesty would call me that name…" a dawn of realization surfaced on his mind. "Your majesty, Euka?"

"It's nice to see you too Khalil."

Andrea gasped when he suddenly hugged her. Worried that the humans in the playground might wonder what was going on, she casted a barrier to make them invisible. She couldn't hold it for long though.

"You're still a crybaby I see."

"But… but… you're Andrea right now. How do you-"

"I told you, things are different now and some stuff happened so you know..."

"Tell me."

She told him what happened, though she left out meeting this world's version of Lyga.

Andrea remembered when she first met Khalil in Vastia. She had just taken the throne as the new demon queen and was establishing her reputation as the Black Sovereign. In one of her trips, she met a half-human half-demon child. She saved him and since then he had been following her. She named him Khalil and practically raised him. Out of all the generals that served under her, he was like her son.

"And that's what happened." she said as she finished narrating the events. "Right now, we're probably in a parallel universe. When I woke up two years ago and decided to change my fate, it made another branch in the timeline and therefore created a parallel world that was based on that decision."

"So, there's a parallel world out there where I met the original you?" Khalil questioned.

"Yep. Many possibilities are out there. There are probably an infinite number of worlds, parallel or not, in the space-time continuum."

"So even as Andrea you're this much of a geek?"

"In my original life, I focused on academics mostly. I was smart, but not in this level. I have the memories of two lives and one of them is that I was a fox goddess who was reborn as a demon queen who was also a few thousands of years old."

"You're talking like this in the body of a child. It's scary."

"I think my parents are scared of me as well." Andrea commented. "Eh? By the way, how did you end up here? Didn't all the demons and the generals ended up in that independent realm we created after you guys died?"

"That's the thing! We did! And just as planned everyone was sealed and was sleeping until they're summoned by you again. Since you were so willing to die we made it so that we would sleep and be left alone for eternity." Khalil sighed. "We drifted in the space-time continuum for who knows how long until we arrived in this world."

"You arrived here?"

"Yeah! Somehow, that realm got anchored here and all the generals woke up! We left the realm and ventured this world, and that was two thousand years ago."

"And our people?"

"Still asleep. They're still waiting for you to wake them up."

"What did you guys do when you arrived here?"

"We investigated of course! I mean it's a big mystery why our realm suddenly got anchored here. Four-eyed cretin then came up with the theory that we might be in the world where you originally came from!"

"Four-eyed cre- Oh, Riai? He came up with that?"

"And as usual, he's right. This really is your original world."

"And then?"

"And then, we travelled, met people, established connections and built foundations. We figured that since we were technically not humans and back in Vastia we don't really age, we thought it would be the same in this world, so for that we need to do something to support us."

"Smart."

"I know. It was my idea by the way. Right now I have a few powerful and rich families working for me."

"You're a demon, treating one well is like a lucky charm for them."

"Probably."

"And the others?"

"Ah, that's the thing your majesty."

"What is?"

"Five hundred years ago, we went our separate ways and I haven't heard from most of them since then. Right now I'm not sure where they are. Although I know where Ceio is but I haven't really talked to her."

"Why not?"

"We went our separate ways to look for you. That has been our mission ever since we arrived here. And I'm lucky to have found you first." Khalil flashed a triumphant smile and Andrea couldn't help but chuckle at him. "Don't worry your majesty, I'll use all my resources to find them and deliver this news. I'm pretty sure our reunion won't be too long now."

"That's good. By the way Little Six, how did you deal with the entities of this world?"

"On my part, I made friends with some of them. I think the others did the same thing." he answered. "They also allowed us to hang around as long as we don't plan on destroying and/or taking over the world."

Andrea couldn't help but snicker at the response. Khalil gave her a confused look.

"It's just that, we decided to take over the world and destroy it back in Vastia, remember?" she reminded him.

"Ah… That was one of your schemes. Even though you suffered and was reborn as the demon queen, you still had such a soft heart for the humans."

"Maybe."

"But it doesn't matter. I promised I will always follow you even if I die because of it. I will always follow you to the very end, wherever you want to go."

Andrea couldn't help but smile. But then she remembered about her predicament.

"Little Six can you help me with something?"

"Of course! What is it?"

"You see…"

She told him about her plan on being independent from her family.

"Before I met you, I was only planning to live alone in another country and not bother them, that way I won't trouble them with any problem I might encounter concerning the supernatural. Plus, I can also be independent." she added. "But I realized I can never have a regular life. I wasn't the powerless Andrea Fuentebella anymore and I'm afraid I might drag them in it. So can you help me cut off my ties with the Fuentebella Family?"

"You want to cut off your ties with your own family?" she nodded. "Why?"
